I was here for a boxing event. The energy was high. They have an upstairs balcony seating. I was ringside. The boxer put on a great show. The server got my drink order. I asked for a Margarita. She brought me a beer. I told her about it. She corrected the order. It was good. Later I went to the concession. I ordered wings. When I got to my seat I opened the box. It was a leg quarter meal. I decided to keep it. I didn't want to miss any of the fight. The quarter was good. The potato salad had too much h cyan on it. I don't eat green beans. Overall the night went well. Just a couple of mishaps os my food and drink. I had to go up some steps to get to the restroom. There are 2 parking lots. I found parking on the street.

such a beautiful, cute venue - came here for a school hosted event. You can definitely tell it's ~historic~ but has such a charm with the big staircases and the two levels. having dinner overlooking the dance floor was so fun. three total bars so lines were never too long and all the bartenders were great. not sure if they provide the food or if it was catered so not gonna mark it off for that but food was like a 2/10. would love to come back for an event!

This south city jewell is in its 95th year, so, naturally the building shows some age. Still provides ambiance and a great venue for many different events. Always enjoy the Extravaganza and 100% of the profits goes to charity. As noted in my previous review, it is not handicapped accessible.

The Casa Loma Ballroom located in St. Louis is a real neat place. When I go there it feels as though I am stepping back in time when at some point everything was frozen. Even though the place is getting on up in age, being around since 1927 hasn't stopped this place from swinging. I have gone there for different occasions, from birthdays to weddings to just looking for a place to dance, the Casa Loma Ballroom has always delivered a fantastic time. There are also beginner dance lessons for those of us who are not quite yet a Fred Astaire. The Casa Loma Ballroom is a great place to go for events or just to go out and dance.

Pat and Teri don't only own the venue, but, the went so far above what any other venue will do.

I hosted a surprise party here for my husband's birthday, and it went off without a hitch. Adisa and Adnan answered all my questions quickly in the months leading up to the surprise, and because an event was not planned the night beforehand, they even let me come and drop off beverages for chilling. We had Aya Sofia (Mediterranean restaurant in South STL City) cater the party, and they did a fantastic job of coordinating the drop-off and pick-up of their serving ware, and the food was a hit. We had an open self-service bar, which guests appreciated but did get a bit crowded as a lot of people tend to gather near the huge kitchen counter where the bar is located. The facility does have one step inside, but the Atelier 1879 team has made their facility fully accessible with a portable ramp that fits nicely over the step. Adisa and Adnan have thought of everything! Parking was not an issue for our guests. It's a residential neighborhood and is positioned next door to Yemanja Brasil Restaurant (which is delicious!). All in all, I could not have asked for a better venue and experience.

The staff... wow.. another story.. Outside bar had an AMAZING waitress, Jess, that truely made our nights and was so awesome and fun. Jess deserves a raise and if you go to Venice cafe avoid literally any bar tender except for Jess. The old lady bar tender on inside bar took two extra dollars from me (I guess thinking I wasn't gonna tip? ) despite me leaving three on the bar and me pointing it out to her. Then a very very large brown haired curly bearded man completely ignored me at the bar, at like 4pm it was me standing directly in front of the bar by myself while he had co convos and gave bar backs shots. I couldn't have made this up.. I couldn't think of anything to even say to address that wasnt not kind or out of pocket so I left. It was an unreal experience and from what I've heard about management just from patrons there they wouldn't care anyway, it was alienating and gross behavior. Venice cafe had a good reputation and it was on my list forever, but I've already shared with more of my groups that we can go somewhere else and be treated much better. I'd second guess this option unless Jess is working outside in the bar.

It feels creative, fun, and unlike anywhere else. They had live music while we were there, which made the whole experience even better. One thing to note: it's cash only, so make sure you come prepared. This is the kind of place you go for the vibe, the music, and a good time -- not just the food. Highly recommend if you're looking for something unique and memorable in St. Louis.
