High quality Mexican food! I love this place and it is a step above the usual Tex-Mex.

Loved this place for years, but can't go back after a roach was running all over table and food and they still expected me to pay.

They have spoiled other queso for me because none are ever at the same level as Casa Mexicana's cheese dip!

A lot of places in the area close around 8 so I was so happy this place was still open past that. And apparently everyone else around was too because this place was HOPPIN. I don't think I saw the staff stand still for even a moment and we still had excellent service! It's a tiny place but it's well decorated for both themes. We were sat in the area that had the sushi bar. I was tempted to get sushi but then I saw the fusion dish Al Pastor Fried Rice so obviously I had to try that. I wasn't sure if fried rice was going to be enough food but they assured me it was a big serving. And let me tell you, the serving sizes are HUGE. Like holy crap. And the prices are still reasonable! I should've asked if they had a small size of fried rice I could try because I did want more than just that. But I assumed they probably wouldn't because it was a specialty fried rice. But yeah it was more than enough for that meal and the next day. Hubby's burrito was also ginormous! And it had the seasoned French fries inside that we love. He also really liked the salsa here. Overall this place was great and I wish we had something like this closer to home. I love the idea that my husband can get his Mexican food and I can get my sushi all at the same place. He told me their chips and salsa aren't like what you get in most Mexican restaurants, and that they make their salsa in house. I was confused, because I was like, What do you mean your chips and salsa aren't like chips and salsa? But I get it now, and they really aren't. The chips are totopos, and the salsa is a very flavorful, thin pureed sauce that has been cooked or roasted-- not sure exactly how they make it, but there is cooking and technique involved for sure. They were SO GOOD. So delicious-- I have an Oaxaca restaurant nearish me, and now I can't wait to try it. I ordered the ceviche, which came with the totopos. I asked for more salsa verde and glad I did. They do charge for extra salsa (if your order comes with it, they give you a little of each the red and green). Glad I did because it was SO GOOD. I licked the container for real. If I ever come back to Covington it would be to come here and have the exact same thing. I took a star off because I didn't like the service.

Orders are always ready when they say. The only reason I'm not giving a 5-star rating is because I recently veered off from street tacos (of which I'm a connoisseur, if I do say so myself) to try other menu items and I wasn't all that impressed. I'd recommend sticking to the street tacos, which are amazing every time. Great job, Jose (or whatever your name actually is :).

This place is not bad, but it also isn't good…read more This restaurant occupies a former restaurant's space in Millington, with just a few minor decor changes inside. The space here was never an issue. Suits the stereotypical American Mexican restaurant look. Nice bar (though I've never seen anyone at it). Staff have always been a problem at this location. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that ownership has changed, so the staff are just as flippant and aloof as they have been in the past. I have never been here where I actually got refills or chips that I asked for until right before we were leaving. Unfortunate. The saving grace is their food. It's nothing awe inspiring, mind you...but it is good and it scratches an itch. The menu consists of Mexican restaurant staples as well as a few niche items for the area. A great change from the previous restaurant in this location. This place doesn't seem to be catching a lot of speed, though. I am not seeing a lot of business there, even during peak times. That may be a good thing if you're in a rush for some Mexican at peak dinner hours ;) Overall, not an amazing Mexican place. But also not a bad one. If you're looking for something super chic, maybe try somewhere else. But if you just want your run-of-the-mill place, this is it and it's definitely not a bad choice!

The customer service stood out throughout our visit. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere that was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. We didn't have to wait long for a table, and once we ordered, our food came out surprisingly fast. It's always nice when you don't have to wait forever, especially when you're hungry. The food was the highlight of our visit. Everything tasted fresh, was well-prepared, and was full of flavor. You could tell care went into each dish. The portions were satisfying, and every bite was enjoyable. We both finished our meals happy and agreed that we'd gladly order the same dishes again. What really made this visit memorable was how well everything came together. Fast service, delicious food, and genuinely friendly employees created a great dining experience from start to finish. Sometimes that's all you're looking for when you go out to eat, and Sake vs Tekila delivered. We will definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu. If you're looking for a restaurant with great food, quick service, and excellent customer care, I would absolutely recommend giving Sake vs Tekila a try. It was a great date night for my wife and me, and we're already looking forward to our next visit.
