AMAZING food no matter what you order, good cocktails, cold drinks, and extremely friendly staff. And very affordable prices as well: their lunch specials (especially the "build your own combo" deal) are great bargains and you get a good amount of very high quality food for the price too! NO ONE in the entire United States has queso dip as good and perfect as Casa Mexicana. They have spoiled other queso for me because none are ever at the same level as Casa Mexicana's cheese dip! Even at other local places, they may have perfectly fine cheese dip, but they all pale in comparison to the top of the tops at Casa. I have been eating at Casa Mexicana with my family since I was a baby, and despite all the renovations over the years to keep the restaurant looking wonderful, it still feels like the same warm, fun place I've grown to be so sentimental over, and they've always had such beautiful artwork on the walls! I always feel welcomed by the staff as well, and still frequently dine in with my entire extended family who also absolutely adore Casa Mexicana. I briefly lived across the country in a place with very limited Mexican food options, and I'd tell anyone who'd listen how much I missed my beloved Casa, and was overjoyed to move back home where I could go to Casa again! I may be clouded by nostalgia, because I have so many fond childhood and now adult memories of eating at Casa over the last ~25 years, but if you ask me, there is no finer Mexican restaurant in Tennessee or any other place I've travelled. I'd go so far as to say they're the best in America! I would and do recommend Casa to anyone in the area, and even make a point to take any friends/family that visit from out of town there before they leave. It's a MUST have! I specifically suggest the soft beef tacos, or the shrimp chimichanga! And a large cheese dip, of course! :) read more

I was very ambivalent about eating at this establishment, but I was willing to give it a try because, quite frankly, the Atoka area doesn't have much else to offer. Boy was I pleasantly surprised. The chips and salsa were perfect. The chips were perfectly thin enough and the salsa was not too bland nor too spicy. The guacamole dip was also delicious and fresh (not overly puréed). My cheese enchilada was exactly what I look for in a cheese enchilada - good sauce, melty cheese, good flavor. The chicken flauta was fresh (chicken was juicy and flavorful) and topped with queso, a nice surprise. Even my beef tostada was crisp and perfectly seasoned. The rice was OK, but I wasn't really expecting much out of the rice. I also made a last-minute decision to get a strawberry daiquiri. It was absolutely divine, and I never really order (or enjoy) frozen drinks that often. My husband got the carne asade and was pretty happy with it too. Service was fast and friendly. I came for lunch with a friend. It's been a couple years since I've eaten here. I was surprised by how good it was. I don't remember why I always chose one of the other Mexican places in town because the service was great.The waitress even explained that their chulupa wasn't like what you get at Taco Bell in case that's what I was looking to get. It didn't matter because I wasn't super hungry just picked two things off the lunch special. I ordered a burrito and the chulupa with potatoes. The burrito came with red sauce on top and was perfectly yummy. The chalupa was what is would have called a bean tostada. It was a flat corn tortilla with beans, cheese, lettuce, and guacamole. I'm not sure why but it was delicious. So simple but very good. The potatoes were roasted red potatoes with some red spice that reminded me of chorizo. It might have even been chorizo mixed in. They were very good as well. I ended up eating it all. Definitely better than any $5.50 meal I could have got from Taco Bell and just as quick. If you haven't visited in a while give them another chance. Also they have plenty of vegetarian options. My sister loves their mushroom quesadilla. read more

the ambiance is good, asked for banana margaritas on rocks, got frozen..whatever, was still good. waiter gave us an extra margarita each for free cause he knew he took for effing ever. salsa was a joke, liquid like ketchup, no flavor at all. guacamole was the worst i've ever had, looked like mushy peas. no tomato, cilantro, onion, jalapeño at all in it. doubt there was even salt or lime, didn't taste like it. i asked for two bean burritos and asked if i could add tomatoes and onions cause i knew they'd be bland. waiter said no. this place is so packed and busy cause the white people here have no idea what real mexican food is. too bad. oh and we also were here for three hours because everything took so long. but it was cheap. read more

Ole! This is one of my favorites among the wide selection of similar places in Tipton County. For a storefront Mexican place, there is a lot of character inside. It's clean and quick. I always order from the vegetarian menu and I'm delighted to find veggie-filled enchiladas and chimichangas - it's not all about the beans and cheese. read more

I've been to this location twice now, and each time I have came, the table they try to sit me at is dirty. Today I had a hair in my salsa bowl that was just handed to me. The staff is very friendly, and the food is okay at this location. I love getting the potato fajita at the Olive Branch location because they give you the beef, chicken, & steak, but at this location you can only have one or the other which I don't like. The bathrooms are dirty each time I come as well. I would give more stars but the cleanliness is very important to me & I'm disappointed that you only get one choice of meat with the potato fajita unlike the Olive Branch location which gives you everything . read more

Let me start off by saying, this used to be the ONLY restaurant to eat at in this area. So I've been a patron over half of my life. It used to be so jam packed that my family and I used to wait 1 hour just to eat here it was so good. You could make 3-4 meals with the fajitas for 2. Now putting sentimentality aside, I ate here last evening, first time in a long time. I really have no desire to return now. :( A friend of nine decided to eat here before our movie started at the local movie theater. We arrived at 6:20 in the evening on a Saturday night and other then three or four tables being filled this place was completely dead. After a brief wait my friend and I were seated and we're quickly given chips and dip. Our waitress came to the table wasn't very welcoming and just asked what I wanted to drink. Before I could ask for the specials she walked off. She returned within five minutes with our drinks and then again I tried to ask her about specials and she walked off. After waiting about 7 to 8 minutes she returned and bluntly said okay what do you want...should've known then that this experience wasn't going to get any better. :( For a place that was completely dead a taco salad and three enchiladas took almost 30 minutes... Food was Luke warm and the plates were boiling hot. My girlfriend that I came with asked for a chicken taco salad, she actually said chicken twice, but was given a beef taco salad. Because we had waited so long for food we really didn't have time to complain. After 10 minutes we asked for the check, the waitress completely disappeared. We only had a few minutes to spare to make it to the movie theater in time. I got up out of my seat walked around the restaurant twice and still couldn't find the waitress nor did anyone ask me if I need any help. Finally she reappeared and again I said ma'am can we please have the check. She then took another five minutes to go print out the check. needless to say we paid and left quickly. On a sidenote as we were leaving, what looked to be relatives or friends of hers arrived at the restaurant and sat in her section she was very warm and inviting and asked them how they were doing and how hungry they were, so on so far. Casa is a favorite in Tipton County when it comes to cheap Mexican food. I was about to give this place two stars because the food really is not that great but I changed it to three due to three factors: Service: The wait staff here is terrific. They are always friendly and hustle about to make sure everything comes out hot and fast. Salsa: I really enjoy their salsa. Just a personal preference. It has been years since we've been here. But, I said never again to Las Margaritas who has gone so far down hit it's disgusting. Casa Mexicana was a breath of fresh 'food'. We moved to the Atoka/Munford area in Aug. This was the first stop on our, "we have to find a new mexican restaurant hunt" We've since tried them all and Casa is our #1 Mexican restaurant in the area. It's our favorite place for Friday Date Night. The food is excellent, we've never gotten anything that wasn't super tasty. The service is awesome. The restaurant is clean, they have friendly staff and the food comes quickly. read more

If I could give no stars I would. It took 20 minutes to get seated only to be served a drink with a roach in it. He apologized and said it was in the glass not in the drink. Like that made it better. He said he was comping our ticket, but guess he forgot. Never eat here again. read more
