This is the new location in Millington and it's pretty big. Has lots of booths and tables and makes it easier for them to accommodate large parties. We went inbetween a busy time. We waited maybe ten minutes for a booth. We were greeted right away by our server and he was very quick getting our drinks. As you know I'm always looking for horchata and this place did not disappoint. Mix it up a little to let the ice do its job. A plus is they have free refills on their horchata. Can't go wrong with that. The chips and salsa were a nice way to start off the meal. The chips were fresh and the salsa was smooth with a slight kick to it. I ordered the birria tacos. It was a lot but I liked the way they were made. They were dipped then fried so all the flavor was packed into the shell. The dipping broth was well seasoned also. The taco salad comes with more than what comes in your average taco salad such as queso for no additional charge. They have a pretty wide selection of good on their menu and I'll be back to work my way through it. read more

Walked in at approximately 2:45- waited for someone to seat us- long line of people checking out or picking up to go orders. Waited several minutes and the server dropped off chips and salsa- asked for queso and she said wait. Several minutes later - she came and took our drink and queso order. She then came back with drinks ( the tea was wrong) and queso and took our order- we were onto order off the lunch menu, but she tapped her watch and said dinner now- it was 3:10 ( lunch is until 3). So we regrouped and ordered - our granddaughter wanted chicken and cheese enchiladas- I told her chicken and cheese only and she repeated it twice- she asked how many and we said 2. After another long wait and having to ask another server who walked by for more chips- the food arrived. The enchiladas had shredded chicken, onions and peppers and cheese- the child of course wouldn't eat those and I had not ordered them that way- so I called her back over and asked her to please have them remade with only chicken and cheese. She then asked if I wanted shredded or grilled chicken and I told her it didn't matter, just no peppers and onions, she left and came back and said it would be a $2 up charge for grilled chicken and that's the way they came. We agreed, but that was crazy for the two tiny enchiladas. Service was terrible( we still tipped 20%)- food was meh- menu was soiled when it was given to us. Terrible experience and right at $60 for 2 adults and 1child with only a tea that was supposed to be sweet but wasn't a water and a kids Dr. Pepper. The last time I ate inside, we ordered margaritas and I guess the waiter just assumed we weren't getting food so he didn't come back for a long time... they officially lost my business a couple of months ago. This was my first visit to the new location in Millington! The new location boosts lots of roomy seating- tables and booths. The various tables that can be joined are conducive to groups! I loved the furniture- nice heavy chairs with comfy cushions--so often the chairs at restaurants are flimsy and uncomfortable- but NOT THE CASE AT MARGARITAS in Millington! Outdoor patio had the football game projected on the wall!! I give a five stars to the pleasant atmosphere and seating!! Ok- on to the food and service- food was excellent ! Menu is large! Everything was hot! The menu has a "all you can eat" option and an anaconda burrito! Check those out! I got the tortilla soup- I loved the deconstructed way the soup was served--you add your own rice and tortilla chips! Service was a bit slow- we did have to wait too long for a water refill and asked twice for extra napkins. But overall- the dining experience was pleasant and we will return! I got 2 fish tacos and my sister got 3, though we had the same order. 2. Your waiter was unable to tell us how many we were supposed to get. 3. Your waiter refused to go ask how many...(really!) 4. Your waiter was told that both of our orders came without the Pico De Gallo, cabbage, and beans...but you only fixed her order, not mine. 5. Our corn tortillas were literally dissolving before the meal arrived. There was not one redeeming quality to our visit to your restaurant and our grand total was over $150.00 for our dinner party. Exline's Pizza needed to go! Finally Millington has some good food! I've stopped in on the construction guys a couple times to see when they'd be open. I've never been so excited to get a new restaurant, that I was gonna be there their first day. Then I got sick and it took me until their eighth day of business before I was able to get my first meal. I had high expectations and I was not disappointed. The re-model is very impressive. The new patio is bad ass. The construction guys and contractors did excellent work and I'm impressed by everything I've seen. I'll have to admit this isn't as over the top as some restaurants I've seen, but pretty nice, nonetheless. All the appliances and equipment are brand spanking new. I noticed not one, but two soft serve machines! The bar area has like a dozen TV sets. I could see myself chilling here! For sure. The best part of my visit was my meal. A 32oz Dos Equis in a cool ass mug for $5.25 and the Pollos Margaritas with chicken breast, chorizo, and shrimp. It was so good, I ordered a second one to go. The meal was only $7.50. They did charge $.35 more for the other one to be to go, but whatever. Great price. read more

We eat here often and it doesn't matter how busy it is; it is ALWAYS slow. The food is good but honestly be prepared to wait and don't eat here if you're in a rush with somewhere to be. I recommend the Dirty Tacos. Updated to add that today's visit was the worst ever with waiting. We were seated promptly after listening to the employees argue about where we were going to be seated and then told by the girl that sat us that she was not going to be our server but got us water and chips and salsa. Then we waited over 15 minutes for anyone to even come to our table which was only done because the manager was walking by and my boyfriend put an arm out to stop him and tell him we hadn't had any service. I went to meet with work friends. Table for 4. First table was literally not even stable. Server spoke neither good English nor good Mexican Spanish, making communication in ordering very difficult. I tried asking for a virgin margarita in both languages to no avail. Seemed like an Eastern European. Chips were weird - very thin and fragmented and greasy. Salsa was more like a watery tomato paste. Tortilla soup had a few smatterings of vegetables it something like a tomato broth. There were no avocado slices on it just a few tiny avocado diced pieces, and definitely did not have crispy tortilla strips atop it. I found it to be more salty than flavorful but at least did the trick for me that I needed that night after a very diffwork week. Ordered the California burrito to go for my travels the next day. It was huge - plenty for two people to share or two full meals - but it also wasn't the kind of bright distinguishable Mexican flavors I expected. It was more like a lot of bland protein stuffed inside a tortilla and smothered somehow. I wouldn't order it again. I asked for a Patron Margarita on the rocks, she didn't know how (it's 3 ingredients) The service was fair though I don't like listening to servers complain to each other. BUT the food was good. I had what amounts to Fajitas over a bed or rice, and I really enjoyed it. I'm glad they are additional decent Mexican restaurant in Millington area. This place just open around 2 months ago and I really like how clean and well decorated the place is. Food also great. One comment mentioned that the salsa and chips are not that great but me and my husband really enjoyed them especially because they were homemade. So far this place is a good choice if you want to enjoy little upscale Mexican food. However, that comes with the price, so, expected to pay more comparing to others in the same area. One more down size that I think it's weird is they don't give military discount for the whole bill. My husband shown his ID and we got discount only for his meal, not my (I didn't show my later coz I don't want to go though all bill's fixing) or even both of our drink didn't get discount. I will say its nice to have another addition to Millington restaurants but I'm going to say that this place is just about every other Mexican vibe from what I have experienced in memphis overall. The California burrito was filling that I had for my entree. The chips are about average. Hopefully this place will get better over time. If I could give zero stars I would. my father and husband got food poisoning from this restaurant and upon contacting the owner for a full refund, he tells me it won't happen and i should sue and take him to court. Their insurance company would be pissed having to pay hospital/doctor bills rather than him paying $60. Service was terrible, only 3 people were working, and kids were running around everywhere.
