Our extended family came here after my son's college graduation. He wanted to come here. The chips and salsa were really good. It was nice that lunch specials include Saturdays until 2 pm. The service here was spotty. It took at least 10 minutes for server to stop by. He then took beverage orders and we waited at least 10 more minutes to order. I ordered lunch flatua and beef chimichanga. I must have ordered wrong, as it had onions and peppers in it that I needed to pick out. I also didn't eat much of the tortillas. My parents liked their seafood fajitas but they didn't come out sizzling. The lunch portion was also small. I've had better Mexican food elsewhere. read more

We were out late and this was one of the few places open near our hotel so we decided to give it a whirl. The good: Chipotle chicken and shrimp fajitas were FANTASTIC. Server was friendly. The not so good: Margarita was awful. It almost tasted carbonated? Service wasn't great. The food was ok but not great. Biggest -- HUGE -- concern is total lack of soap for handwashing in both men's and women's restrooms. Makes you wonder how employees are washing hands upon arriving at work, after using toilets, after smoke breaks, etc. Wish I had known BEFORE eating because I wouldn't have chosen to eat there. I took my children there first a late lunch early dinner. We were seated after a couple minute wait. We were originally supposed to be in a booth, but I asked for a table . We ordered our drinks which came out eventually. My peach margarita on the rocks was ok. My one child who ordered chocolate milk was served which milk with chocolate syrup. ( if you are going to have it in your menu at the price of a gallon of chocolate milk then serve the real stuff) That drink order took an additional 10 minutes to get. The food came about 15 minutes later. I had ordered a large guacamole for the chips. The guacamole was bland. The chips were bland. My homemade guacamole has more flavor. The rest of the food needed salt. At least my fajitas did. My Chile Relleno Poblano was a large portion but it was soggy. My son had ordered two beef burritos with lettuce and sour cream no tomatoes no salsa (it came out loaded with tomatoes) never got offered another drink during our meal. Our waiter was absent the entire time. He laid the receipt on the table and left not asking if we wanted dessert. I asked him if we could place a dessert order to go while he was at another table, he said one moment. We gave home our order. I being the person I am told him when my dessert got there that I had not ordered what he served me. And asked for to go containers. I packed up my remaining fajita order and he asked as he was clearing the plates of if I wanted my child's remnants on his plate too. Eewww. When I got the bills my son's 7 dollar burritos turned into 10.50 burritos for cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream. I was charged for the wrong dessert. My bill came out to $100.78. I am a believer that if you give me good service then I will leave you a good tip. Looking at my bank statement I was charged a $20 tip for bad service. If I could give zero stars I really would. Next time I will go to a different Mexican restaurant. I thought this would be a good Mexican restaurant. But sadly I was mistaken I would recommend a different venue when I go I will review that one too. read more

We decided to try Casa Mexico today My daughter, my 5 yrs old grandson, and I We were seated in a booth, which I greatly appreciated. A waitress came to ask for drinks, we ordered the drinks. Ten minutes later, another waitress came and took our order. Food came, and that was the last time we saw another waitress. I wanted hot sauce for our food, I got up and asked for it. There was a table of seven hispanic people that were treated better than us. No one came to ask if everything was ok, or if we needed refill. There were people seating in front of the kitchen just doing nothing. Our family has visited most of the Mexican Restaurants in Fargo, where we had the best dining experience. So, today we choose Casa Mexico where we felt discriminated even thought, were are of Spanish descend. I ordered a Tres leches to go, and boxes to box leftovers. The tres leches was smashed inside the container. My daughter's Strawberry Margarita tasted like one from a can. You are getting a star because there is nothing below that. I can't say much about this place but do know I won't be back. It was atleast 85 degrees in this place. We got top shelf margaritas and you couldn't even taste liquor and my wife asked for flavored and she got original flavor. But, went in to pick up our takeout food and no one was wearing masks, people were packed around tables, and all of my food was sitting next to our gigantic table of unmasked patrons. I too miss being able to sit in a restaurant and eat my favorite food, which is why we order out. But until the restaurant either figures out how to manage the pandemic or produce a take out standard operating procedure that doesn't pose a risk to take out patrons, I won't be back. read more

The food was the worse I've ever eaten. I ordered the beef taco, beef enchilada and beef burrito combo. I could not even finish one of any of those items. If you've ever heard food described as having an "acquired taste", you'll understand my meaning when I describe the shrimp quesadilla as an acquired nausea. The quesadilla was drowned in cheese. The first bite was good and it was only downhill from there. The food was intolerable after the fourth bite. It was served with a side of a shredded lettuce "salad". The salad was effectively segmented into three sections, respectively balancing on top--I kid you not--a lump of guac, a lump of sour cream, and a few diced tomatoes. I have some dietary restrictions and after my first bite I could tell it definitely couldn't eat it without terrible stomach issues. A new great authentic Mexican restaurant in Fargo. Social distancing is in place and every staff member we spoke with was knowledgeable and courteous. The carnitas were great...cooked perfectly! Tortillas were delicious! My husband had the Tipica Meal which is a Poblano chile relleno. Guacamole was almost as good as my husband makes. Both meals were served with rice and beans... both good. The salsa that comes with the chips is pretty tasteless, but they do have something hotter if you ask. They have beer, wine, and cocktails. We've heard the margaritas are really good! We will return! The worst experience at Casa Mexico today.. I would never go there again with or without my kids. They do not honor "kids eat free sundays" even though they advertise it on their website. When we showed them he smiled and said "too bad , nothing can be done". Numerous mistakes on the bill and when we asked to have them changed, our server said its impossible. We then asked for a manager and was told the same thing and that they cannot do anything. We also were freezing and appeared to not have heat in the building. We asked if something was wrong and they said no...just that the building cannot heat the whole place... my kids were miserable and even jackets didn't keep them warm. Others were coming back in with blankets and gloves to finish their meals and the servers were even wearing their jackets. Terrible customer service so will not be returning. I'm shocked at how this was not handled. read more
