Kones Kreamery in Fargo is so good. I got two scoops of taro and strawberry cheesecake and both were super creamy and delicious. I also loved that it didn't melt really fast, so I could actually enjoy it. My friend got a Thai tea with cheese cold foam and it was amazing, probably one of the best drinks she's had. The worker was so nice, helped us pick what to get, took pictures for us, and even gave us cute little stuffies. Great treats, great service, and such a fun place to go. Kone's Creamery is a delight! I love their boba milk teas, especially the Tiger and the Taro Milk teas! I never had a taste of their ice cream until recently, but it is so creamy and soft. Whipped ice cream, but still dense and filling! The staff were friendly and attentive to whatever I needed. An order is made and finished within 5 minutes,tops, for a drink and ice cream, too. Kones is a really unique and interesting Asian inspired ice cream & dessert place. But I like that, it's definitely a good thing. There's just so much fun to be had here, from the animal themed ice creams to bubble waffle cones, to sticky bun sandwiches and boba teas. You can't find a ton of that in Fargo, let alone the Midwest, so it's cool that Kones took it on. The ice cream is actually quite good. The boba is alright- definitely be careful on the flavor you get. I'd stick with one of the milk teas, but those can also be achingly sweet. But all in all, I like everything. I've gone quite a bit in the short time I've been there, which usually speaks for itself. You can also sit and play some bird games if you choose to dine in, and there's some fun foreign candies and snacks for sale as well. Definitely a rare find in Fargo. read more

I can't speak to the Asian-inspired comments that some have made, but I do love gelato and can tell you that you won't be disappointed with their gelato. There are some unique animal-faced cone options for the kids, but just a scoop of Snickers gelato, a scoop of coffee gelato and a drizzle caramel topping (see picture) was perfect for me. Only reason this place deserves the single star is because of the workers. The gelato is adequate at best and definitely not worth the price, especially when Coldstone is basically right across the street. The owner is never actually in the store and leaves his overworked employees alone to fend for themselves. He also supposedly doesn't even give them any of the tips they make online, at least that's what an employee who recently quit had mentioned on her last day. The owner also buys snacks and double or even triples the price and somehow still makes sales. I'm all for supporting small businesses, but not when they treat their employees like shit and exploit their community. read more

I am very surprised that the reviews are as good as they are for this place. I'm not positive if we just went on a bad day for this store but we did not have a good experience. The store is cute and has a few shelves of items for sale in front of the ordering counter (none of which seems to be stocked). We went specifically for the bubble tea advertised but upon looking at the menu we realized the selection wasn't as diverse as we were hoping. Usually you can pick a flavor and then how you want it prepared with toppings, however this menu featured specific options to choose from with little customization. The ice cream feature in the case looked half melted and almost like a gelato. I'm not sure if that was indeed what it was because there was no advertisement stating that other than the flavors featured. They were very colorful and had fun flavors but unfortunately none seemed appetizing enough to chance with the melted appearance. The woman behind the counter didn't go beyond greeting us even when we took a little longer looking at the menu- slightly confused on what or how to order. When we finally placed our order she began to make our drinks and when she was finished handed them to us with little to no eye contact before going over to the other customer waiting to place their order. We ended up opting for 2 different iced bubble tea drinks.. very poorly made. Each drink had been filled about 3/4 the way with the tea base. Then the 1/4 space that was left in the cup was used to try and add our flavorings. That little space was not enough whatsoever. The drinks were so strong of the base tea that just a little bit our out flavoring shined through which made the taste not mesh well. We were hoping the ice could eventually water down the flavor however the tea must have been poured warmer because the little ice we had in the drink had already disappeared- so unfortunately we couldn't lean on that to save them. I was very disappointed and unfortunately could not get a replacement drink because we were already on our way out of town by the time we were able to try them. Waste of $15 and will not be returning to this location. read more

This place is great, seriously a tasty stop where you don't mind making your waistline a little bigger. Love the menu options and freshness - they make the gelato onsite and the milk tea mixtures as well. The staff - dude was mega cool and informational taking the time to really walk me through what the offerings are and getting me samples to help my picky butt decide. The boba drinks i got were good, however they do not look like how it is promoted. I thought that the peach slush would look like it was presented on the poster , but it was no where near. The drink was still good, it taste not too sweet, which is a good thing because a lot of places makes their drinks super sweet. The ice cream is very pretty with the bear decorations and they have different flavors of ice cream. Would really recommend if you want some boba tea it very good! read more

Kones Kreamery is a consistent hit or miss...mostly dependent on who is working. That being said the drinks are delish but the inconsistent service almost overshadows the product. Will still go back for the Tiger boba if the brown sugar is ever back in stock. read more

It is in a very nice area! When i walked in I was immediately welcomed and then they were all ready to take my order and it turned out amazing!!
