    Texas Brisket Sandwich with rice
    Jami B.

We are here for lunch on a Saturday, and thankfully the temperature was perfect for the patio. It seemed like there was just one server, Courtney, for many tables, but even at that she was friendly and good at juggling everything from taking orders, bringing checks, keeping everyone's waters filled - impressive! All the food we had was solid. My son had brisket with a side of rice and he loved it and was glad the meat was not loaded down with sauce. I had the chicken wrap, which was tasty but could've had a lot more chicken in it, especially for the $17 price (it was mostly lettuce). This is a convenient spot with average chain-quality food.

We decided to take our 21 year old college son here for his birthday. I received feedback on Fargo Eats Facebook group as the place to go for steak. I ordered knopla soup. It was ok. Also had cobb salad with brisket topping. I've never had a salad where I'm expected to mix it myself. There must have been 2 huge cups of shredded cheese on the side. What a waste. The brisket was very disappointing as it was dry. I brought it home for the dog. My son had walleye and shrimp. He gave me a broiled shrimp and it was good. My son did not want his first beer. He did get a free dessert for his birthday. Service was good, but we should have went to the Toasted Frog.

Spitfire continues to be my favorite restaurant in the Fargo/Moorhead area. Having lived in Fargo for a good portion of my life this is a must stop when I make it back to visit family. The ambiance is great for anything from an intimate date night to group dinners, or just a quick casual bite to eat. The food is always amazing. My personal favorite is the spitfire pasta, but I have never had a bad item. BBQ, rotisserie chicken, or pasta you really cannot make a bad choice. The service has always been good on my visits as well. TL:DR - a true 10/10 restaurant.

I am a business traveler. Here are my notes. I noticed plenty of parking. It was a popular place too, so I thought they must have good food. Also, a lot of guests were dining for dinner. To confirm my thoughts. I had a sit in the bar. Nice, they have plenty of television. Service was quick. The bartender, let me taste a local brewery. I ordered that beer plus the walleye and grilled shrimp. My server was excellent. I appreciate his patience. He offered cook prep suggestions. I went with that. Plus, I ordered her the wild rice soup. Everything was delicious. I recommend this place.

    "Medium" cooked steak

We stopped in at 8pm on a Monday evening hoping for a quick delicious meal and were sadly disappointed. The waitress was friendly and efficient but the food was absolutely awful. The lil sizzlers we ordered as an app somehow managed to have burnt chicken, soggy peppers and undercooked congealed bacon. They were dripping grease and were completely inedible. Our waitress had the kitchen remake them and the end result was the same. Entree of steak and shrimp (which I remember fondly from previous visits over a year ago) was one of the worst meals I've ever been served. The shrimp was barely warm and sitting in a vat of cooling butter, the medium steak was a dry grey hockey puck and the mixed veggies appeared to have been boiled in water and cooking oil until they lost their natural consistency and flavor altogether. Will NEVER be returning.

Best burger in the region hands down. Order it medium and you get medium. The char is out of this world! 10 out of 10!

Best burger anywhere. Awesome char and flavor! Order it medium and lots of red onion. Top it with a good beer and *chef's kiss*. 10 out of 10!

Love this place! Our go to for the best prime rib! You'll be hooked just by the smell of this place pulling into the parking lot! If you like smoked meat this place is for you.

Had a sampler platter and my husband had the prime rib. Food was amazing. Service was great. She took care of us but didn't hover.

The smoked prime rib was cooked just right & the hint of smoke took the prime rib to the next level. Highly recommend you try the prime rib.

The space was clean and the staff were attentive. I then made my way over to the bakery and restaurant side. The signs make it very clear to understand the breakouts. If you are ordering pastries and coffee you will be on one side, whereas, if you are looking to order off the menu with full service, you will be on the bar side. Nichole's is a well oiled machine. The setup is easy to navigate and the concept is unique. Blending pastries, coffee, cakes, cooking products, wine, breakfast, lunch and dinner into one space is magnificent. I loved my intimate dine in session ordering the avocado toast on sourdough bread with an over hard egg and an orange hot tea. It was the perfect blend and was the best avocado toast I ever had. My belly was far too full after brunch so I went to the bakery side after and bought a chocolate raspberry muffin (also the best muffin I've ever had), chocolate chip cookies (darn near ate them all in one setting) and poppyseed thumbprint cookies with a raspberry filling (jaw dropping). There are so many more products to taste and see so I highly recommend a visit. I totally look forward to my return in August so I can dabble more with pastries and get into the espresso world too. Thank you, Nichole's!! Glorious all around. Bravo!

This is somewhere I love to take people who haven't been to Fargo much. It's something that most all people can enjoy, plus the shop is super cute. It's in a newly modernized alley of downtown called Robert's Alley, which can be confusing to find until you are a little more familiar with the area. I think there is maybe a parking garage nearby but your best option is to just park along the street or somewhere downtown and walk. You can only get to Scoop N Dough by walking, biking, or other non-motorized vehicular routes. Though the experience of cookie dough & ice cream is great, I do think it's pretty extravagant. The cookie dough is incredibly sweet and rich, and I can never finish my cup because it almost makes my stomach hurt, it's just too much for me. So that's just a warning- it still tastes fantastic and is fun to try at least once. And I did see they are getting another location along 32nd Ave, almost in West Fargo, which is cool!

The flavored popcorn is a nice addition as well. If you are not familiar with the area, the entrance is located in the alley, not far off of 2nd Ave N.
