I had the best dinner here last night! The server was so sweet, attentive, and helped us get our order in before a large party so we wouldn't have too long of a wait. I got a delicious iced tea, a casa Mia salad with Italian vinaigrette, a meatball sandwich, and bread to start and it was AMAZING. Everything tasted flavorful, fresh, and the portions were perfect to satisfy without overeating. The inside is cute too- we sat in their makeshift patio inside and it was very fun. Had an all day meeting close by, so it was super convenient. They only had one waitress for lunch but she was good. Nice interior, very Italian. I had a chicken Caesar salad, it was so good. Lots of chicken so it was filling. The only issue was that the chicken was a little greasy. read more

Very disappointing... Very pricey for the quality & quantity of food. The chicken parm was clearly not homemade; it looked & tasted like a Tyson frozen patty with sauce slathered on top. For that price point they could have banged out some nice thin chicken cutlets. The pizza was ok; crust & sauce were good, but way too much cheese, and it was more like a Medium, not a Large. It had a weird fishy aftertaste, like anchovies. Which is weird as you should never put anchovies on a pizza before putting it in the oven because... everything will taste like anchovies. The Half&Half Cannelloni & Manicotti was decent; probably the best dish. The spinach ravioli was overcooked and mushy; they didn't drain the pasta well. This is a one and done for me. read more

Sadly, this was probably my last visit to Casa Mia. I've been going there for almost 30 years, and this visit was the nail in the coffin. We ordered linguine with shrimp, onion soup, and tortellini. The salad was an extra order now... and was TINY. The food came out on time, but was about 50% of what they used to serve. I thought it was because we ordered off a lunch menu, but I was told these were full-sized portions. The linguine was served on a plate the same size as our tiny salad! The taste of the onion soup was a little off, and the bread wasn't a crouton... it had been in the soup for so long that it had a gelatin texture. Casa Mia was recommended by my partner's family as a great place to gather for family meals. Sure enough, there were 8 people in our party and within 20 minutes we were seated, orders were taken, and food was delivered. I was really impressed with the clockwork precision this establishment works with. The restaurant is very spacious with ample seating in the dining room, as well as an attached solarium lush with green foliage and lots of light. The chairs are comfortable, and the restaurant has intimate tables for two, as well as large parties like ours. The waitstaff are well-informed, and offer great suggestions for those intimidated by the extensive menu. Our waiter was very intuitive, anticipating most of our needs before we knew them ourselves. I don't really have much to say. Reading other reviews it's really hit or miss I guess on time and who you get. We didn't have any problems with the service. Our booth was clean. There were only a few other people there but we were having a late lunch. The food was dissatisfying. We started with the Classic Casa Mia Garlic Bread. For $9.00 I was expecting something more...like garlic bread basically. What we got was more comparable to a baguette from the freezer with some garlic powder rubbed on it, and burnt from the oven. We both ordered side salads at $5.00 each which was a generous heap of three ingredients, iceberg lettuce, cheese and a whole lot of "black" olives on top. Even if we liked olives, by the look and color of them I don't think I would have eaten them. Then for $18.00 each we got the Cannelloni and the Manicotti. Meh. Nothing really tasted fresh. I had high hopes but I don't think we will be back to this one. read more

Food was good to very good. Service was abysmal. Decor/ambiance was very nice. Pros: The cannelloni was delicious. It was everything I hoped it would be. The interior is charming and felt like an Italian street cafe. It felt like we were outside (in a good way) even though we were inside. We even sat by an open window on a warm afternoon and it was lovely. The menu all looked good and the prices are reasonable for the times we live in. Cons: Badly understaffed, and what staff there was (other than the kitchen) seemed poorly trained. The host doubled taking phone orders and tripled as the only bus person we saw. When they wiped down the table they just wiped food crumbs and pieces onto the floor. Yikes. And as for our waiter, well he just wasn't good. Even though almost all the entrees come with a basket of bread, we had to ask several times for ours, and it finally arrived AFTER we had finished our meals (not even kidding). The tables next to us also had to ask for their bread. Why? Why not just grab the bread when they pickup the entrees and deliver both together? Or better still, bring it with the soup & salad? Why are people having to ask repeatedly for a basic part of their meal that should have been delivered without being prompted? We had a hard time even tracking him down TO ask. He never once checked back with us after he brought our food, and had to be flagged down after he brought bread to a neighboring table (who also had to remind him) and that's a loss for the business because I would have loved a second glass of wine once my entree arrived, but since he never returned to ask, that didn't happen either. In fairness, the other two servers (there were only three total on a busy Saturday afternoon) seemed much more attentive to their tables, so there's a 66% chance you get a decent server). It took forever to track down our waiter yet again for the bill (in fact we never did) and a to-go box for the bread. We finally got up and walked to the register to ask for the bill, but the host was off bussing tables. However, getting up to leave did the trick to catch our waiter's attention, allowing us to finally pay and be on our way. Neutral: The food. As I said, the cannelloni was fantastic, and the bread -- which finally arrived only AFTER we'd finished our meal -- was also delicious (we took most of it home since we didn't want bread for dessert). The pizzas looked great, as did anything that was baked. The spaghetti, on the other hand, was average at best, and we wouldn't recommend it. I doubt we'll ever return to dine in, which is a shame because it really is a cute restaurant and we liked being there at first, until it became clear that our waiter lacked even the most basic server skills. Food was good enough though, that we may try takeout...maybe a pizza or lasagna...and of course the cannelloni. read more

Dinner salad is good. Pastas, pizza, and anything with chicken really does not taste good. Even if you ask for extra sauce for their very dry spaghetti, it is never enough sauce. Their prices also seem higher than other restaurants. I'm done with this place. It used to taste good up until about the last ten years. I wish they would stop advertising their award winning pizza because that was in 1994. read more

My wife and I started coming here back in, probably '89, when we were going to TESC. It was a big night out back then. It looks the same to me inside now--like it hasn't aged. We had lunch here yesterday. They brought plenty of bread for the table to start. Both my wife and I ordered the spinach and cheese ravioli, but with puttanesca instead of white cream sauce. It was delicious, and still quite rich. Daughter got spaghetti with pesto. We dig the simple side salads here; it's what we remember most from back in the day. They consist of cold iceberg lettuce, topped with mozzarella, black olives and dressing of choice. Service was great. And the bill, at 60-something, was less than I expected. read more

You will have the feeling that you are eating in someone's home. Clean, cozy atmosphere, adequate but fairly small menu. A bar that can do anything. Nice wine and beer menu, but efficiently small. Pasta, rice and beans. Very good pizza menu, which, given the neighborhood location, must cater to locals as "their" pizza place. All original pies, not like commercial outlets. Their starter, flatbread and soup menu would be perfect for those on a date or just looking for a place to chat over a nice glass of wine or beer. Everything came across as home-made. Fresh ingrredients and served nicely. Were we not just passing through and spending a night, we would be back for another meal or two. read more

Came here for dinner with my cousins. It was quiet there weren't too many people which was nice. The food was delicious and the service was everything. They totally helped us out. They were accommodating. They changed my drink because I didn't like the tea so I got a Dr Pepper instead and they didn't make me feel uncomfortable about it. Casa Mía is great! Great food, always, and great service. They stayed open for us once on an anniversary that had gone horribly wrong beforehand. We showed up 20 minutes before close and they let us know they were working on closing so we couldn't be there long and some options may not be available. We explained the horrific day we had had and how our car had broke down and the restaurant we had planned to go to was going to be $130 just to Uber to, and nowhere else nearby was open. We let them know we'd be quick about our order and do our best to get out of their hair soon so they could close. After hearing this, they were super accommodating and reassuring that it was no problem and that they hoped they could give us a good experience on our anniversary. And that they did. They didn't rush us, they willingly made everything we ordered, and they offered us a free dessert. Thank you Casa Mía for saving us that night. read more

We needed to eat some Italian, and really liked casa last time so we tried it again. Both of us were happy with our meal. I really like their red sauce! Our waitress was attentive and the food came fast. We shouldn't have ordered desert, but couldn't help ourselves. We got the Apple crest Ada with Carmel sauce and vanilla ice cream. My stomach is ready to explode, but the food was super tasty. The place is an open kitchen Italian diner. Went there tonight to spend my Anniversary with my wife, waited to be served and watched the waitresses argue over who would get what table only to watch the people that came after us get served within two minutes of sitting down, so after 12 mins and nothing not even a "Hey we will be with you in a min" we got up and left. Now their once award winning pizza has become a total embarrassment. The crust is horrible and difficult to chew, reminding me of stale gum. I used to love Casa Mia and have been going there for years (literally 20 or so) but as the years have passed I have become more and more disappointed and finally, last week, believe I have reached the point where I won't return. First, they have increased their menu prices quite a bit. 3 or more dollars on some entrees. Their portion sizes have decreased and they no longer offer a salad with entrees. They charge 4.50 per side salad! 7.00 if you want shrimp on it. That is crazy in this economy. No take it back, crazy in any economy. Their pizza is outstanding but I refuse to pay 13.00 for a small little individual pizza. The last time our family of 4 was there - our bill was 64.00 and we had two children with us. The service was abysmal.....15 minute wait for water, 25 minutes for salads, and 45 minute wait for food, no refills on our pop, had to ask for rolls, that come with our meal, and no clearing of plates or offer of to go boxes. It appears that Casia Mia is trying to move from Italian Cafe, which is essentially what they are (they are in a remodeled gas station for Gods' sakes!) , to a "boutique restaurant". But I am afraid they will price themselves out of business. They have recently remodeled and included 3 big flat screen tv's on the wall. Basketball games don't really go with quaint, upscale restaurants which Casa Mia appears they are trying to be, at least with their prices. I am surprised they still offer free dum dum suckers to kids when you pay. I wont be surprised if they start charging for them. read more

First off it started off as a huge disappointment! I used to live in a region that had two of these restaurants in the area. They used to have the best calzone this side of New England. However I was very disappointed to find that they took it off the menu. The waitress was very helpful and did check with the kitchen to see if they could make me one but alas the answer was "no." I ended up ordering a pizza which oddly enough, is a calzone that's not folded in half, closed over, and baked in the same manner but that is beside the point. The service was very poor and even though the waitress only had approximately three tables she kept forgetting things. I ended up waiting on myself a couple of times. She had another table of four people and table of two people. All in all there's nothing special about the restaurant anymore. In this particular location in Olympia I have been to in the past and found it to be losing ground. I will not be coming back ever againbut that should not preclude anybody from going there if they want a so-so experience of a Italian restaurant feel. The ambience is nice but quite honestly the food qualities no different than Olive garden. read more

It may not be fair to rate Casa Mia based solely on their spaghetti with meat sauce and meat balls ($16) as it is possible they may put some effort into their other entrees. Not so their spaghetti. If there was meat in their sauce, if there were herbs to season the sauce and were there a modicum of effort in the preparation of the sauce it was unnoticeable. One quarter of the cost of the dish was for the three very small and bland meatballs. The best part of the meal were the two store bought rolls that were included and the Pepsi. read more

We wanted to have my granddads birthday there (because they have his favorite ice cream.) unfortunately when we got there there was some kind of problem in the kitchen. He immediately apologized and offered us a table at the sister restaurant Well 80 Brewhouse just a little bit down the way. I asked him if they had the ice cream on the menu at the other place and he offered to bring it over to us! When he got here he had a whole tub with him! Such great customer service! I called into place a pick up order from the online menu for this restaurant. I chose the Classic Casa Mia Special Pizza. The price was $15. A lady answered my call and she took my order. For just the pizza she told me it would be $39 and change. I told her what the online menu specifically for this Casa Mia restaurant said the price was. And she said that the online menu is wrong because it has not been updated to the present menu prices being used now. I wonder if that is true. Sounds kinda crooked really. OMG, Spicy Chicken Ceasar Salad is the best ever. We get it with double chicken and it's oh so good!!! Nothing out there like it!!! Pizza to die for, my favorite is the one with cashews great service and friendly staff. So happy we can sit inside again. YAY!!! Ask for Linda T., she's an awesome server.
