I was working for a guy in Yakima and told him I was going to Richland to work and he mentioned this place. He also mentioned it the year before when I visited him and the year before that when I visited him. He said the pizza was excellent and they drive an hour and 15 minutes every once in awhile just for the food. He was right, the chicken parmigiana was awesome, the chicken was tender and juicy and succulent, the breading was perfect and the sauce was fantastic! We also got a side of fettuccine with a butter and cream sauce and it was awesome as well. We got a bowl of onion soup which they usually don't serve to go but made an exception and it was fantastic! When I crave Italian, I look forward to going to Casa Mia's. The service there is always fast and friendly. Last time we were in town, it was the last day of the Farmer's Market and they were a little busier that usual. We were greeted right away and seated quickly. The server provided us with our drinks right away and we happily waited for our meal. I ordered the lasagna this time and my husband ordered the meatball sub. He said it was one of the best he's tried. He liked that the meatballs were big and that there was a lot of sauce on the sandwich. The bread is always fresh- I think it's homemade. The lasagna I ordered was warm and cheesy. It had the layers of meat sauce, cheese, ricotta and pasta that reminded my of how my mom makes it. We have had great experiences, and I like to support locally owned businesses over franchise. read more

We've been regular customers at Casa Mia for years. We usually visit two or three times a month--because we've always appreciated the food and the friendly service. Unfortunately, after our most recent visit, we won't be coming back. As we were leaving the restaurant (before the dinner rush), we paid our bill and left a $6 tip beside the register, near where our waitress was standing on the phone. A group of employees was gathered at the front, so we assumed everything was in order. After stepping outside and chatting briefly in the parking lot, our waitress came out and accused us of not paying. I explained that we had absolutely paid and even tipped and that the money was placed right by the register. (Please note that we have done this several times and there has never been an issue before especially with an employee standing right next to the register. Instead of confirming with her team before simply walking back inside to check, she walked away without apologizing or clarifying. I waited in the parking lot for her to return and say something, but she didn't. So, I called the restaurant myself. A gentleman answered and quickly confirmed, "Oh yeah, we have already taken don't worry, you're good. She didn't ask before she went to the parking lot" We understand that mistakes happen. But the way we were spoken to--especially after being loyal customers for so long...was completely unacceptable. A simple misunderstanding turned into an unnecessarily awkward and disrespectful moment, and we left feeling embarrassed and frustrated. We're sad to say this, but we probably won't be returning. Whenever we get back to the Tri, we want to have Casa Mia. It has items we both love and would want on a weekly basis if we lived nearer. The place has been there forever, and I was worried it might have died in the pandemic. Not so. CM has always had a quiet ambience during the day, busy at dinner hours. We had the luxury of visiting in the mid-afternoon. Now, my favorite thing at CM is a form of salad they took off the menu even before we left. That was over a decade ago. Every time we go back there, I ask if they still have the ability to make the antipasto with Roquefort and anchovies. They always have, except for this time, when the server explained that they did not carry anchovies any more. I got that; there's probably a limited market and a finite amount of menu items that could use them. I figured it was very cool of them to be willing to make that great old menu item that should never have left the menu to begin with, but they probably had a reason, so that was fine, My salad was every bit as great as before (except the anchovies). No complaint. Partner was enamored with their cheese pizza, enduring my heckling for lack of imagination. Service was attentive and awesome. The waitress had been there twenty years: What does that say? Must be treated right. The parking at the Richland location is a pain. By the time you get to turn left on G Way, you'll be retired. Turning right will require you to await a Good Samaritan, which are not hard to find in the TC, but I don't like to rely on that. Instead, go out the other direction and north past the strip malls, until you get to a right turn that will give you a light so you can turn either north or south without having to hope and pray. read more

Sunday night dinner for a family of 3. We came in around 5ish and was greeted by the friendly staff to our table right away. The restaurant is warm and cozy with plenty of seating. We ordered a large pizza, half with fig almond pesto and prosciutto topped with arugula and the other half with pepperoni from Torino sausage company in Seattle ($28). We also ordered the large l classic fettuccine with basil pesto ($15). The pizza crust was thin and crispy with a nice chewy texture, which I love in a well fermented dough. The sweet fig jam and salty prosciutto are the perfect combo! The pepperoni per my husband was too salty and the middle part of the crust was too cheesy so it was a tad soggy. The fettuccine pasta was overcooked and the pesto was too oily for my liking and needed more salt. Overall it was a decent dinner for 3 total with drinks + tips under $60. The waitress, Heather, was super rude! I came here for my grandson papa's birthday, I told her that. She replied, "Okay." Not a happy birthday, nothing! She also was rude when I asked about the pizza. She said she can't substitute it because it's on the Happy Hour menu. Grandson papa had to get the regular pizza with the white sauce I had asked for. My hubby and I had lunch here after hearing great things. But unfortunately, I think our expectations were a little too high. Positives - the Cesar salad and minestrone soup were really good, and the dinner rolls with butter were amazing! The waitress was super sweet! Negatives- my husband ordered the ravioli with meat sauce and the sauce was overly sweet. The ravioli's were good though. I ordered the fettuccini with the butter cream sauce and it was very bland... it honestly tasted like it was out of a jar from a store... not good. If they add some lemon juice to it, and maybe more Parmesan I really think it would make a huge difference. We also ordered the Artichoke Ricotta Fondute and it was very bland as well... the flat bread it came with was good though. I most usually get the half manicotti and half cannelloni dish with a shrimp salad with house roquefort dressing. My husband, two kids & I came to Casa Mia for Valentine's dinner last night. First impression was that it's very small & crowded inside. We got seated at a table right next to the entrance & kitchen. Not only did I feel in the way by basically sitting in a busy walk way, but you get a cold draft every time the door opens. We placed our orders for a garlic bread appetizer ($10), a sub sandwich ($11.50), classic salad with chicken ($13) & two kids spaghettis (Kids menu items weren't actually listed on the menu we had to ask our waiter). For the price, everything was severely underwhelming. The bread (6 small pieces) was dry & over baked, a sub from a gas station deli would have been more impressive & the salad was the size of a side salad with about a half cup of what seemed like microwaved Tyson chicken served in a separate bowl... The kids did enjoy their spaghetti, but again the plates were appetizer size... Unfortunately we will not be returning nor recommending Casa Mia. Had dinner there last Thursday with our kids and their 3. We got real lucky in that a couple at the table next to us got served a large pizza that was not what they wanted/had ordered etc. Don't know the details of that, but in their generosity they asked if we wanted the thing, to which we were delighted to say yes, as ordering a pizza was part of the plan. It must have been the meat lovers special as it was loaded with various slices of flesh, and quite tasty. For a west coast pie it was slightly above average, the sauce being decent and well applies, with minimal cheese. I HATE ooey-gooey, which most advertisements seem to think is what folks love. The restaurant staff was kind enough to not glower at us for eating what was likely a freebee for the folks who had given it to us. My only comment with the pie was the definition of "large". More of a medium to my east coast eyes. next time I'll try a calzone, as one of those passed us by, and it was huge! I also had the arugula salad, which was great, as I love arugula. A big plate full of the stuff draped with thin slices of prosciutto, with a couple of large lemon wedges which made the perfect dressing. I Ordered a chicken basil pizza with black olives and thin crust , and to add pepperoni on half. at Casa Mia. I sent my son to pick it up. When he got there there were two pizzas. He told them we ordered one. This is what he received. Neither pizza was what I ordered. This pizza had absolutely no flavor, and was not thin crust. Would you pay 30.00 for this pizza? The manager refused to make it right and make the correct pizza. He only apologized for the miscommunication. The only miscommunication was the girl that took the order. Terrible customer service! We went back here on Sunday night and were crushed! We've always loved Fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp and it was nearly inedible. We will not be returning. The sauce was just poured onto the noodles without being mixed in. I had a small order while husband a great-grandson had a large order. These three items plus one Casa Mia salad was $93.48. Next time we want fettuccini Alfredo, we will go back to Napoli's - made by real Italians which is divine and $20 less in price! read more

This place has always been a favorite growing up in Tri-Cities. I try to come here whenever I visit. Covid Precautions: 5/5 Staff are seen wearing masks/gloves. There's sanitizer available. Limited seating available. 6ft social distancing stickers on the ground. Food: 3/5 It's not bad. I don't know if because I've lived in LA for the past 8 years and all of the Italian restaurants there have changed my pallet for Italian food or if the quality of food has just gone down. I love Casa Mia! The three cheese chicken pizza minus the chicken is delicious! All the different cheeses, sun-dried tomatoes, basil and white sauce are such a perfect combination. Waitress was nice but seemed to not be up to the task of any info. They are supposed to be "World Famous" for their pizza and I decided to go in that direction. Ordered a side salad- it was lettuce with literally 7 slices of black olives. I asked for the dressing on the side but that must have got lost in translation somehow. I also asked about the pepperoni that was featured as some specialty pepperoni- " not the normal pepperoni but some special recipe "from some Italian Chef from PA. Her reply was-"it's just pepperoni like every other pepperoni. We use it on anything with pepperoni" OkSo I went forward with ordering that and when the pizza arrived the crust was hard and appeared to be a frozen crust from some mass produced plaza crust factory. Toppings were good but sauce was sparse so it made it difficult to ignore the crunchy crust. I had a glass of red wine-4 oz at best- and my meal cost $39.67 or so. I can get an extra large pizza from Dominos for less-have it delivered - and be happier. Obviously I do not recommend this restaurant. Reviews laud it as a local favorite that's been there for years.
