We were in town for the weekend and when I realized this was here, I had to go. I grew up eating at casa ole and have loved it since. Wish one was closer. Pricing is so reasonable and much lower than a lot of places. Always love the salsa and the thin chips. The food was actually presented well, and a whole plate full, which is sometimes a hit or miss at some locations. Their Chile con queso is one of my favorites. The salsa is more of a tomato salsa which I love. Refrained beans and cheese enchiladas are my go to here. I also recommended the fajita flameado for a meal. This location was clean. The staff and our waitress was super nice and very fast, but did not rush. We came in late, which we normally don't do, and there were 2 other tables after us. Friendly, welcoming staff. Our waiter (Kolton) was kind, friendly, and maintained a positive attitude - even with a newborn, a toddler, and a 4-year-old in the mix of our party of 9! We appreciated that they did not automatically apply a 20% tip for a larger party like most places do (usually 8+). The service was worth 20% tip, but it was nice to have the choice given to the customer instead of automatically applied to the bill. The manager (new), Matt, was available and friendly. Me and my husband were in the area and decided to stop in for lunch, the young waitress took our refreshment order we asked for queso she brought the chips an salsa then took other tables orders 30 minutes gies by still waiting for queso, finally get it then we give our order. She waits 20 minutes to come back to ask what we ordered and I tell her a second time she replies ohbokay I wasn't sure if I put it in. I asked for ground beef chimichanga lunch plate my husband steak fajita. As Mexican Food goes I probably would have just went to Taco Bell. I wasn't impressed it was a slow night and felt like our service was poor. Don't assume people don't tip cause the fact we were not asked if we needed refills or if our food was ok is what your tips is based on. Were u friendly? Besides the service the food wasn't good. Food is awful. It's always been mediocre but has really gone down recently . The food is unappetizing, not fresh . Everything tastes microwaved and of the lowest quality. I hope they improve or close , so something of better quality can take over. I used to only tolerate the queso and salsa but even that isn't good anymore. The Casa Ole on Ruth Street in Sulphur no longer has Mequel Nachos. This is what I always ordered when I went there. This is the reason i went there. If they do not get them back I won't be going there. I was very surprised to learn that they were no longer available. I ordered something else but was very disappointed. If you do not know what good food is eat here. It is not costly or overpriced. It is just generic fake, boxed, and microwaved food. Go to the freezer section at your local store and this is what you will get. Now if you have a family it is a good place in Sulphur to eat ,but please do not tell me it is a great mexican resturant it is in between Tex Mex and American. Ate here on Christmas Eve and everything was great. Jennifer was our server and she was awesome. We never wanted for anything. The food was hot, and prepared perfectly -including substitutions we requested. The restaurant was clean, staff was friendly, and restrooms were maintained. I usually eat at the Casa Ole in Lake Charles, but will drive the extra distance to eat at the Sulphur location in the future. While the food is always great at the LC location- the service and overall atmosphere, as well as cleanliness of the whole restaurant is lacking. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. read more

Love Casa ole however this has to be the worlds worst experience! The red sauce is free but it's pace like you buy in the grocery store and I asked for green sauce and was not told that it was an extra charge until my bill came. My visit took place on 2/13/18. I want to first say how wonderful our waitress was her name is Sydnee she went above and beyond to take care of anything we needed. Sydnee was new but she did an AMAZING job!! Back story we were here to celebrate a birthday party for my little sister and a family member sent her a whole cookie cake for her present beings GACC is one of her favorites. Which meant we had two cakes one for her personally which was her bday present from N out of town family member and one was her actual bday cake. Sydnee being as amazing as she was asked to put them in the back no problem! Thanks again! Now we are finished with our meal can't complain all was great! We are now eating the birthday cake with the cookie cake set to the side for bday girl to bring home. This random I'm assuming drunk lady comes up to us from a party next to ours asking if she can give the whole cookie to our waiter, Colton, sooo as confused as we all are we are just looking in shock at her. She then proceeds to tell us she will just bring it in the back to him for him to cut him a piece(fast forward past the shocked faces)an individual in our party told her no the cookie cake is ours and we aren't giving it to her. We then tell her our waiter is a female named Sydnee not a male named Colton. The drunk lady then informs us she needs to check her heart monitor bc she is about to have palpitations because we told her no. Still a party of 10 in shock we say okay we will give him a piece, so we cut it give her a piece on a napkin and she walks off. So the parents of the birthday girl ask multiple people to talk to said Colton finally Sydnee (best waitress ever) brings him to our table. They politely ask him what is up with the lady asking for our whole cookie cake on his behalf he said I quote"HE GOT NO CAKE" "SHE IS A REGULAR & HE DOESNT KNOW HER" "HE GOT HIS GF ONE FOR VALENTINES DAY TOMORROW MAYBE SHELL GIVE HIM A SLICE"well okay fine. I being very aware of my surroundings noticed he did in fact some how know her he was not acting normal with their table like she was a regular. Playing with kids she brought talking to them for longer than a normal waiter or waitress attending tables normally would--this is all fine with me but to say you don't know them yea okay-- as we are leaving the waitresses in the front working the register are standing there so I ask them all jokes aside did he get the cake and she admittedly says yes kind of laughing. Well all along I knew he was lying. So If you ever go to Casa Ole in Sulphur to eat do everything in your power to avoid Colton as your waiter unless you want him to ask you to beg others parties for birthday cake. We would normally have just offered our waiter or waitress some cake if they wanted some but this guy was not even our waiter. So Colton here's tip along --with a child bday present you received--quit asking your guest to beg other guest for cake, food, better yet anything at all ever. read more

What is the deal with the servers asking you to pray with them when they deliver your food? This is inappropriate and not cute, and yes I am a Christian. I'm not a self righteous person who insists on forcing myself down others throats. These are blind followers who don't know they aren't walking with God at all. If you want to pray, say a silent prayer for me as you go away and allow me to choose on my own. I'm told that it is 3 servers who will do so, and that management insists it okay - apparently they are a Christian restaurant... that is up for debate. Not praying with someone or praying with them, does NOT define your morals. I'm so appalled. It is people like this that give us a bad name and they will likely never realize what they are doing. read more
