The judgment remains UNPAID. You didn't "correct" my move-out statement - you based calculations on the wrong deposit amount ($750 vs $1050) and charged unallowable fees under California Civil Code 1950.5 for cleaning ($280), carpet cleaning ($175), and touch-up paint ($90), along with many other errors. You stonewalled me for months then sent me to collections. The debt STILL remains on my credit report despite my court victory. If you truly "wish me the best," contact National Credit Systems to remove this false debt you are responsible for. They won't, despite having received my judgment. Your claim of being "eager to help" is contradicted by your actions - ignoring my communications for months and not showing up to court to defend your charges. I've filed a complaint with the CFPB and continue fighting to clear my credit. It shouldn't take over a year of court proceedings to clear my name for debt I never owed. If their claim against me hadn't been SO outrageous, I might have done just that, just to be done with it. But why should they get away with illegal charges and false calculations? We didn't have an appointment, we were just a walk-in at the very end of the day, because the leasing agent from another complex (Modern Cactus) didn't show up to our appointment. Michael happily took us in even though he had a crazy day with back to back appointments. Michael is kind, friendly, funny, and very obviously loves his job. He is very attuned to a persons body language, and he can tell if you absolutely love the unit or if you aren't thrilled about it, and at the end of the tour he asks you opened ended questions about how you are feeling/ to see if he can find a unit that better suits you. He also tries to get you the best possible deals that he can. I loved that he didn't pressure us at all, as he knows how important it is for a tenant to be happy with their living space. Ultimately, with heavy heart we decided not to go with desert boutique and villa boutique because of money reasons (I am a student, so we decided it was better to go with a less nice place and save a bit of money). But I would recommend Michael and Desert/ Villa boutique to anyone looking for a gorgeous apartment in palm springs! 10/10 customer service from Michael!!! He is the hardest working leasing agent I have ever met.

Imagine what an elder, expectant mother, or animal would go through?!! COMMUNICATION EVEN A QUICK PHONE CALL ?? A VOICE MESSAGE ?? would save people OR animals with HEALTH CONDITIONS Imagine they did this with the AQI - dangerous AIR QUALITY DAYS. BUT TO SAY NOTHING? AC unit may 'break' or freeze multiple times a year, you may encounter roaches, and rats (plus they seem to breed under the stairs) outside, and the water can be turned off short notice. They also ENTER your unit WITHOUT PRIOR permission (ILLEGAL) - breaking and entering on recorded footage is not a good look...so buy some cameras. It happened once when we have documentation that specifically asks and a second time that it's now "policy" to check for fire or building code and they aren't willing to accommodate a time in advance for checking. Who here is lazy and can't use AI to coordinate a schedule? The office door often says they will be back... they aren't coming back. We have video recordings and footage of the sketchy condition & all the interesting things we've found and have endured with this property. They fail to call the correct person on the contact list as requested multiple times. If proper notice or communications continue to be an issue the post WILL REMAIN AS IS. Michael is kind. Majority of the staff is so kind, they probably aren't involved with most of this. But whatever is going on here isn't great. They trim trees and expect you to read your emails within less than 12 hours notice. They can and have shut down water usage at least once a month or so Update: 9/12/26 - apparently they give new renters your parking spot or they are running out of parking and assigning overlapping spots so when you're home from work someone else in your covered spot which you do pay extra for. All the residents are afraid to stand up to management and the owner. The owner tells you if you dont like it move. He kicks good people out all the time. I'm a great tenant, disabled, quiet, no complaints ever brought to my attention, always pays rent on time, look out and help all neighbors. I have lived here 2 years and 2 months. Makes no sense to keep her and kick out the tenant below her because he demanded it resolved many many months earlier. Nothing done by management or the owner makes any logical, business or professional sense to any of us. It is impossible for them to be apartment management. They give you no customer service. Anything you bring up is dismissed as it's all our faults. I have been a landlord 5 times over. I have also lived in many apartments, small to huge complexes. I have seen good management who truly do good jobs. Not even close here. If someone parks in your assigned parking space. Dont bother telling the manager. She just tells you to go call the tow company, their number is on the sign. You call the tow company, they tell you they have to call the manager first. Wouldn't a good manager know this is what happens all the time, then just call the tow company for the residents. The parking rules are so small, few, and hard to even see them posted. Guests are constantly parking in tenants reserved spaces. You report the hot tub isnt working. You have to keep checking if it has been fixed. The next week you report it's still not working, same thing. Pretty sure management is supposed to follow through on these things. The manager and family live on site. They can park wherever they want, swim wherever they want, do whatever they want, but not residents. The whole system of running this place is a regular combination of screw ups, soap opera, and circus.

This is the closest you will get to owning your own place, and it really feels like a "home". The rent price is a great value when compared to other similar apartment complexes near by. The amenities really are great. The gym is fantastic and has everything you need for a good workout, including multiple Peleton bikes, treadmills, free weights and cables. There are 2 pool areas and both are well kept. We have friends over often and always show off the main pool area and get cozy with the private cabanas and grills provided. It's very scenic with the palm tree collection and mountainous backdrop and makes for great photos. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, the maintenance service is has a modern touch, as all requests are submitted directly from their website. Never a hastle, the front desk does a great job giving a courtesy call prior to the Maintenice guys coming and once here, they are very professional, well mannered and knowledgeable. This is a big one for me, as my last apartment the Maintenice was AlWAYS a drag! Special shout out to Antonio for always going above and beyond to provide great service. The City of La Quinta issued a Cease-and-Desist / Stop Work Order, yet management still charges full rent and utilities while part of our home remains sealed off under a mold-containment tent. We've received no lab results or proof that our unit is habitable, and communication from management has been nearly nonexistent. This is unacceptable and unsafe for any paying tenant. We are reserving all rights under California Civil Code § 1941.1 and § 1942, which require landlords to keep units habitable and give tenants remedies when they do not. From the time I moved in till the exact day I moved out the spa did not work. The only request I had made before I moved in was to have a back door put in. It had been beat up and I just didn't feel safe with an older damaged door. The owner agreed but said they couldn't put a new one in until after summer, because no one would work on the heat. First off that's a lie but I dealt with it. I didn't get a new door until Januaryish. I can't remember the exact date but it was long past my July move in. I ended up moving out in mid January, with my move out date being February 3. I ended up putting in my months notice however moving out ahead of time. This is where things get shady. One of my neighbors moved out and was told he got back deposit and prorated rent for leaving early. I was like wow that is amazing. I would love to get that. So I ended up leaving mid-January. I had a place it was no big deal. I was bummed when I only got back my deposit. It wasn't a huge deal, however someone moved into my unit less then a week after they left. And supposedly they didn't charge them rent or anything. This ticked me off, so I am paying for someone to live in an apartment for a month for free? It just robbed me the wrong way, and even more if they did get rent from that person they made double off that unit in a month. It was such a dishonest transaction. I was trying to be understanding to the owner and they ultimately screwed me over. It was my fault because I assumed there would be no issues, and I didn't get anything in writing or cleared. So all in all I take this one. They even charged me for sparkling and crap when the apartment was riddled with it before hand. I loved almost all the people that lived there and we all got along swimmingly. The owner is drama filled and kind of extra. Within a couple of months of me living there they put the property on the market to sell, (for way too much). The place is subpar at best. Be mindful when you rent into here. It was mostly a pleasant experience with a few bad apples.
