So let me see... This little gem in Palm Springs is amazing. The hospitality is on point, above and beyond I can confidently say. Highly recommend planning a stay at The Twist. When arrived we were early, but we were welcomed to relax and enjoy the property while we waited. Jamie, who was a gracious host, offered us complimentary margaritas! Who can say no to free margaritas, not me that's for darn sure. And they were really good. I say "they" because I and the hubs partook (word?), eh who cares you all know what I mean. Orange is the running color throughout the Twist property. Plenty of spots to sit and chill. Fire pits and chairs/lounge chairs. Parking available in the back was plentiful. Little mini golf. Clubs and balls in your room. Oh I can go on and on but I need to see when we can come again....SOON! read more

This is a mess! Checked in - no one onsite, no one answering any phones. We were given the wrong room, it's dark and dirty. We found 2 huge COCKROACHES in the bathroom! The pool is disgusting, and I don't even want to mention the hot tub. The pictures on the website are just not true. This place is a ghost town, a dirty ghost town. Never again! read more

I love this hotel, I'll definitely be back. I'll just start off by saying the staff are so cool, they're great. From the moment we got there they were incredibly helpful. We were a little bit lost as to where to park and what was available but like I said they were very helpful the entire time. We said hello to management we were welcomed in a great manner it started our weekend off in a way that was exciting, fun and from the moment we got there we could tell this place was a vibe. And I appreciate the staff for making us feel welcomed and ready for the weekend. The pool is open 24 hours, please keep in mind that guests are sleeping so we do have to keep it quiet and courteous. The rooms are a good size, they have balconies, they also have patios with fireplaces. The place itself is very clean, with the exception of some water bugs outside but I mean what can you do about that. The kitchen is rather small it's more like a small walkway really good for one person at a time. But that's OK we don't need no kitchen lol There's also a table in the living room for us to sit and eat so that works perfect perfectly. The decor was fun modern yet vintage. It's Down The Street from several shops and plazas as well as restaurants walking distance if you're OK with a 10 minute walk. This is my second time staying at The Twist in Palm Springs and it will continue to be my go to whenever I'm in Palm Springs. I love this place so much, the rooms are so cute and colorful and the service is amazing. Jaime was great, he deserves a raise! When you check in you can go to the lobby for a complimentary margarita and I was pleasantly surprised when I tasted it! I don't know what mix Jaime uses but it was delicious! The rooms were very spacious and pool was extra clean. Right next door to a speakeasy bar, Ernest coffee, and Bootlegger Tiki Bar 10/10. 1 mile from Downtown Palm Springs. JUST BOOK IT! My boyfriend and I just stayed for a quick weekend getaway and we loved the hotel. The rooms so so eye catching and include a full kitchen (Fridge, Dishwasher, plates, silverware, pots, pans, blender) and had a HUGE patio with a fire place, lounge chairs and a couch. They had bikes that we can take for free into downtown palm springs which was way better than walking. We pretty much had the pool to ourselves and got to listen to music and drink. The best part was the easy communication you have with the host. They provided phone numbers for during the day and after hours that you can text and they reply so fast. The host even offered free margaritas while we were at the pool. We really enjoyed our stay and will DEFINITELY be returning and recommending it to other friends and family who plan to come to Palm Springs. read more

We booked our reservation through a 3rd party website. No problem there, we booked a superior studio king with a living space with sofa and put in a request to be put in a room that had a patio with lounge chairs and an outdoor fire pit. (I had stayed there before and loved the extra private outdoor space away from the pool) we received an email saying no problem On the request we moved you to room # xxx. Great! We were surprised when they checked us into a different room number which was smaller and didn't have the sofa or the outdoor fire pit. We asked to be put into the room they told us we could have and they said it was taken. Well that's weird? Why send us an email saying the exact room number but then giving it away? They moved us to a bigger room upstairs... but no loungers or fire pit because the deck was small... ironically they put us right above the room they promised us?!? This wasn't a busy weekend day, we checked in on a Monday, and they said it was slow for them right now, so I'm not sure why they couldn't have accommodated. We are also gold member on the third party site we booked through and when we booked they said we'd get a free bottle of bubbly at check in... well... we didn't so we had to awkwardly ask for it, we got it, took it up to the room and there were no champagne glasses, it was just one thing after another... BUT the pool was great, the location is great for walking to go out to eat, the staff was nice in spite of all the miss steps. read more

Before talking about the hotel itself, first I need to talk about the hospitality provided by the staff. When we arrived, we were greeted by Jamie, an amazing professional, super fun, nice, he gave us an incredible first impression of the hotel and definitely made a difference! I don't know if he's the owner or an employee, if he's the owner, Jamie - you have everything to continue to be successful. Your vibe matches perfectly with the place . If you are an employee, I truly hope they give you a big raise hahahha you deserve it! 10/10! The place is super cute, I loved the decorations, the location (very close to the restaurants and stores), loved that we were received with a complementary margarita! The pool is super clean, great temperature, there's also a hot tub, it's a very good place to chill and relax. The room we stayed I think it's the best hotel room I've ever stayed. It's HUGE! It's basically a full studio with a big fridge, stove, microwave, everything we needed. The bed is super comfortable, with a couch , big tv , a lot of space and a great outside area with a fire pit. I will bullet the pros and cons: PROS -the room had plenty of hangers. -the bed is really comfortable to sleep on and the pillows were good. -the room felt clean although there was something missed by the vacuum under the bed. -the kitchen had all necessities to cook. -the bathroom had all the necessities for hair and body. -the pool and hot tub were perfect. -on two out of 3 days, an attendant came by our place and asked if we needed anything. They replaced our towels. This was a great service since they don't clean your place while you're there. -Overall the housekeeping experience was better than our first time. -checking in with the male host was great. He was friendly and efficient and gave great service. -Loved being able to use their bikes to ride to town for breakfast. CONS: -the room wreaked of that mold smell. -the pillowcase had a stain. -at booking we were not told our kitchen didn't have an oven and we'd purchased food prior to arriving that needed an oven. Gave it away to staff. -we were told at booking that we had a large back patio. Not true. -the body wash provided looked disgusting and so we had to go back to the store and purchase soap. -we were on the bottom floor. They booked a family with kids above us and you could hear them running around (like children do! No fault to them!) at night like they were in the same room. It didn't affect our sleep because we were awake, but keep in mind-if you're a light sleeper, you may want top floor. Overall we had a great time because it's in such a great location and the pool and hot tub are the best part-but the smell of the musty mold is so bad that my husband and I agreed this would be our last time. Paying $300.00 per night to have an elevated glamping experience has us looking at renting a house next year and paying a little more. We have great memories of The Twist! It needs a serious amount of investment in getting out the smell and it could be a huge money maker for them. read more

The communication is AMAZING and they are quick to respond to any problems or issues. The only problem that I had was the water was not hot enough, but the place was very spacious and pretty clean. I booked a few days here for some R&R and it was a nice stay - really lovely mid mod decor, a full kitchen with all the needed pots, pans, utensils, full sized fridge. There was plentiful free parking, 24 hr heated pool and jacuzzi, and a huge patio with fire pit and lounge chairs. The only gripe is that after 6pm there is no one to reach if there's a problem. All the communications are done via text with staff. I always prefer to stay at boutique hotels in PS if there's an option - normally I book at the Los Arboles but this time I wanted to be able to have a kitchen and have the option to cook my meals if I want to. The hotel was also located right off of Palm Canyon just a block from all the shops and restaurants - and right behind the first Tiki bar in PS. This is our second visit and we upgraded to a delux queen which had a separate bedroom, dressing area and large kitchen and living area that faced the mountains to the west. Everything was very clean and in good condition and check in was completely contactless. I love that the location is in the north design district area and there are loads of mid century houses in the neighborhoods nearby. Be aware that the soundproofing between rooms is minimal, we could hear our neighbors TV but they were not early risers or late night people so it was not an issue. Also the queen bedroom is not large, but it does have a small patio, a second TV, and the bed was very comfortable, plus you will want to spend most of your time on the main patio and of course touring Palm Springs. read more

I am a local. However, every once in a while, I treat myself to a night or two at one of many hotels. For a little peace, quiet and alone time. To decompress from all the moving parts of my world. And quite simply, the Twist is one of my absolute favorites. I know some folks are hesitant to stay uptown, but it's really lovely. And is continuing to become better. New businesses and restaurants are moving in and the ones already here are pretty great. Just in the business spaces of the hotel you have 2 bars, Tailor Shop for bespoke cocktails with a speakeasy vibe. And Bootlegger tiki. Where the tiki drinks are really special and fresh. It's the best of the 3 tiki bars in town. You also have Ernest Coffee, Saffron restaurant and Iconic Atomic. One of the best vintage stores in all of PS. The rooms are fantastic. In the downstairs ones you get a private walled in patio that will seat at least 4 people, with fire pits. The rooms have full kitchens. Lovely bathrooms with great water pressure and are decorated in a great mid mod style. It's clean as a whistle. Throughout the property. The pool is big and has a great old school PS vibe. They have bike rentals and a putting green. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and full of recommendations for anything you need. Friendly, accommodating and by the end of your stay, you'll feel like you've made friends with them. I can't recommend the Twist enough. It's usually really reasonable. But prices get higher during modernism, Coachella and high season. But still compared to others, reasonable. Also, it's family owned. Love that. Stay here, you'll be pleased. We stayed at the twist in June 2024. It was our first time and we had a wonderful experience. First, a big shout out to Jose and Shoshana. Both of them are wonderful and friendly people. They made our check-in process a breeze. Shoshana went above and beyond by printing us a list of recommended restaurants. Second, the room is lovely with a midcentury vibe. It has a private back patio and comes with a kitchenette which came in handy. Finally, the hotel is within a stone's throw to The Tailor Shop speakeasy and Ernest's coffee. If you're looking for a shabby old apartment building not close to anything you'd want to visit in PS, "updated" with a coat of pain and some "vintage" furnishings from Marshalls/Home Goods, that doesn't provide you with the access code to check into your room, that doesn't have full-time staff to check you in or refresh your room during your stay, and that likes to hide their ridiculous "no smoking on our outdoor balconies" policy so they can charge you a $300 fee after you check out, even though there was no trace of smoking and no additional cleaning needed, then this is the place for you. GUESTS BEWARE The Twist has kept $1839.38 of mine since October 2022, and getting it back OR even one person to return any of my correspondence about it, remains an absolute nightmare 7 months later. I see other reviews here where people said they were due a credit they never received or a booking was cancelled or changed last minute. I had a good stay with them before with a friendly person on location who is obviously no longer there. Huge loss. It looks to be a gamble on the type of experience you will have now. I cannot believe I have to post a review on both Twist & Elevation Property Management pages here, Google, and Facebook in the hopes of getting anyone there to talk to me and get my money back. My next stop is to the Better Business Bureau, and whoever will listen. This is so upsetting and hangs over me constantly. I had to cancel more than a week before my stay, due to a death in the family - which adheres to their policy. My numerous contacts to the hotel and to their property management contact at Elevation Property Management remain unanswered. There is no way to reach a live person at the hotel; all calls are forwarded to a voicemail that is many times full and cannot accept messages - SO frustrating! The published number for Elevation Property Management goes to the accountant - but not for the Twist. He could not help me, but reassured me after each of my 3 calls to him that he could only pass along my message to the rightful manager, Joe. I've gone to the hotel twice while in town, only to find the front gate always locked and no one to flag down. Their Cancellation Policy states: "Reservations may be canceled up to 7x days prior to your arrival (168 hours prior to the 3 pm check-in time). There is a $45 or 3% cancellation fee (whichever is greater) for reservations canceled more than 7x days prior to arrival." I cancelled my reservation 7 days, 22 hours, 41 minutes (190 hours, rounded down), which is within that time frame. The most I should have paid was the $45 cancellation fee. 10/10/22: Booked a room, paid $1,830.38, which included taxes 10/18/22: Cancelled reservation via email to Reservations at the Twist almost 8 days before the reservation 10/25/22: Received text from Twist asking me to complete registration paperwork via email; I immediately texted back reminding them I had cancelled on 10/18 and attached a copy of the email I had sent. Received a reply back that they were sorry to see I had cancelled. I continued to call both the Twist and Elevation Property Management to no avail. 2/20/23: Reached Rick at Elevation Management who said he was on his way out of town, to email him and he'd pass the message along to the Twist Property Manager. I immediately emailed Rick with all pertinent information. No Response. 2/26/23: Sent another email to Rick to follow up. No Response. I then called Rick who did not answer, UNTIL I called from a different number. I told him I would have to resort to posting a review if Joe, or whomever was now in charge of the Twist, did not call me back. So here I am, 7 months later. I have copies of all correspondence. Avoid until if and when they have guest relations under control and they actually follow through with their policies and return guests' funds when they are entitled to the refund. read more

If I could zero start I would. We stayed here about 2 weeks ago. The place was dirty especially the bathroom was filthy. The property smelled like sewage. The shower was clogged on arrival and was overflooding whenever showering. There was also bugs in the shower (see the picture). The AC also was not working properly and it was 100 degrees outside. The pool itself wasn't cleaned and filthy probably why no one swimming in it. We couldn't even hang out on the balcony of our room because there was a swarm of insects all around trying to come inside the room. It was difficult because there is no one on site and the correspondent said he was going to send someone but no one ever came. I spoke to MR ADAM RAMIREZ who's supposedly the manager at the CORPORATE OFFICE and he said he was going to refund me only '1 night' but it's been over 2 weeks and still no refund. He was also super unprofessional and condescending on the phone. He also BLOCKED ME on my phone so I had to call him from another phone # smh. They also charged me $50 for a remote that wasn't misplaced smh. This company is very unprofessional, the property is rundown, and probably the worse stay we've had in the years coming to palm springs. AVOID STAYING HERE AT ALL COSTS and IF ANYTHING GOES WRONG GOODLUCK GETTING IT RESOLVED. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT. Booked a last minute trip for 4th of July weekend/our 10 year anniversary here and am compelled to write a review. The customer service we received before + during our stay is unlike anything we've ever experienced before. It was, hands down, the best hotel experience we've ever had! Everything is detailed in a welcome packet emailed to you before arrival so there are no surprises. Although, we were beyond delighted with the aesthetic of not only the property but our room was beyond cute, kitschy and chic. The hotel makes for some seriously amazing photo ops although we didn't take many pictures as we were busy soaking it all in. There was a FREE margarita welcome hour at the pool the day we arrived which was beyond delightful. The staff was overly accommodating, too, making non-alcoholic "margaritas" for our 3yo. The coffee shop next door is also a main reason we booked this hotel, you can't beat the convenience. The mini golf area is smaller than expected but such a treat. Chris, the Director of Rooms was so Personable and goes way, way, way above and beyond any expectations. He was super quick to respond, even with silly questions, making us feel so welcome. The FULL kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook meals in the room including a Twist shaker and martini glasses, which we definitely used! There are also bikes you can borrow to cruise around Palm Springs! It just keeps getting better and better. If you're considering staying in Palm Springs, look no further than The Twist! We had a horrible experience. We were only at the hotel for about an hour and a half, and within that time we dealt with a gigantic roach crawling on our belongings. Very disgusting, I understand bugs are normal but ROACHES are another thing. The receptionist (Jamie) was very unprofessional, he made it a joking matter, and didn't take us seriously. He wasn't accommodating, and was very unserious about the situation. The staff had horrible customer service and weren't helpful at all. Where do you stay in Palm Springs? The Twist course! This is an apartment complex converted into a giant Airbnb palace. There's about 20 rooms total with each room decorated with some of Palm Springs' most elaborate modern art pieces and furniture styles. Just think a solid pastels and over the top couches, kaboom. I stayed in the dual room which has two bedrooms two bathrooms and a giant living room common area. Fully equipped with a full kitchen and a giant outdoor patio, both in the front and back. The rooms are super clean, and very well lit. It feels more like an upscale modern hotel than it does an Airbnb. I did check out a few of the single rooms and they are just as nice and roomy. Each apartment comes with its own AC unit which is amazing and is much needed in the Palm Springs desert heat. The amenities are great! There's beautiful private pool and hot tub, which is open 24 hours and if you're looking for some late-night drink action, Bootlegger Tiki is just downstairs... literally attached to the hotel! Parking was pretty easy. There's a small parking area in the front with about five spaces and another in the back with about 25 spots. The one draw back is there's no house keeping, like I said it's an AirBNB and not a hotel. Highly recommend this place for birthdays, bachelor or bachelorette parties, or just a weekend hideaway. read more

Facilities: LIT hospitality group did a significant investment they have lighted full length mirrors, quality furniture, microwaves -full kitchens, impressive. Shower in my room had rain head only -could not rinse out shampoo at all -no hand held -useless Pool dirty on a Monday morning after lots of kids over the weekend -to be expected but could use their pool maintenance upped perhaps -but all pools in Palm Springs take a beating. The wallpaper was so pretty and that light up mirror. there is a bar right next door, but I didn't make it there , next time, but looked super cool, tiki vibe, lots of people. anyways, what made this hotel better? I've stayed at this place twice. It's overpriced. I had close to no issues my first time staying here but the second time was a complete disaster. Upon checking in there was a cheerio on the floor in the main living area and a disposable mask in the bedroom on the floor. Lots of strands of hairs that weren't mine or my partners on the pillows and towels. Clearly housekeeping didn't clean everything. There was a bug in the shower, the place was a mess. The first time I stayed here, my room had all the kitchen appliances but this one didn't have a dishwasher or baking dishes. Not a huge deal but I wouldn't have booked if I had known every room had different amenities. I stay here for work and like to cook and take meals. Not even 24 hours after check in I get a text while I'm at work from my partner saying she left and came back and 3 housekeepers were in the room. The first time I stayed, no housekeepers bothered me until it was time to leave. After an inspection of all of our things we noticed that our reusable silicone straws were missing that were on the counter. After a few texts with the staff they confirmed that housekeeping threw them away. I'm not sure why they were in our room in the first place, but I was very disappointed in this stay and won't be coming back. The early check in/late check out fee says it's $35 dollars but it's plus tax so it's about $40. That's something to note. It's a cool little spot if you want to be close to eateries and a couple of bars but it could be better. Not worth the price per night. read more

We went on a little get away to Palm Springs and booked at the Twist. Very pleasantly surprised by the room. It was very roomy and the design was amazing, definitely not your Hilton, Hyatt, Marriot. We had so much fun on this 3 day vacay. My daughters, their 2 friends, and I had an unforgettable girls' getaway. We cooked dinner and breakfasts in the kitchen, swam in the 24 hour (!!!!!) heated pool and jacuzzi, toured the Palm Springs Museum, ate lunch at the Haus of Poké, went thrift shopping on the strip, and did the Palm Springs Escape Room. A perfect trip!! Property Manager Lynda was especially welcoming, warm, and helpful. Communication with her was effortless. She texted us prior to arrival, asking what she could do to make our stay wonderful. Upon arrival, she walked us up to our rooms, gave us a room tour, and made sure we had everything we needed each day. The property is well-kept, adorably decorated, and well appointed. Love this place! I could live in the king studio forever. I love that it has a little kitchen, though I didn't really use it. The patio has a nice view to sit and drink your morning coffee. The bed is super comfortable, but the AC only goes down to 66, so I didn't sleep well. I kept waking up hot and then the AC would turn on again. You should be able to control the AC and set it to 63 if you want to sleep cool! They have bikes you can take out in the morning before it gets too hot, then you can spend the afternoon in the magical pool and jacuzzi. It was not crowded at all the weekend I was there, usually only one other person at the pool. Housekeeping could use some better people. They 'cleaned' my room mid-stay and left wash cloths in the shower, dirty towels, garbage, etc. From what I could tell, they just made my bed. Their cart was also in the same place all afternoon, so not sure they were actually working. There was some hair in the bathroom and they banged on my door while I was asleep with my do not disturb sign on the door. What's the point of the DO NOT DISTURB sign if they are going to bang on the door anyway? Major faux pas. Pros: spacious quaint, cool decor good shower comfy bed good location nice patio/nice view magical pool Cons: room smelled musty on arrival traffic noise from motorcycles and trucks loud backyard neighbors blasting music AC only goes down to 66 housekeeping is not great They say to text for quick response, but they are not quick. Absolutely terrible. Don't stay here. Pool heater was broken so we could not go swimming. In Palm Springs! WiFi didn't work at all. Office staff had no customer service skills or hospitality orientation. All excuses, no apologies, no compensations for things going all wrong. This used to be a good place. This is a fun, funky and charming place to call home for a few days or even an extended stay. We had everything we needed in our 1 bedroom apartment which was well appointed, comfortable and adorable all at the same time. The staff is amazingly attentive, thoughtful and friendly. I left leaving feeling like I have new friends. I was lucky to spend my birthday at The Twist & I will be back. Until then I will proclaim the fabulosity of this property and it's amazing staff! p.s. Hospitality, hospitality, hospitality! What a great last minute find for the 4th of July weekend. This retro and cute hotel is like no other. Within the first 10 minutes of our arrival we had a margarita in hand by the pool, which was a wonderful free treat added on with our stay on Saturday. Chris, the Director of Rooms, went above and beyond with his costumer service, providing text message updates about our stay and answered any questions we had within minutes. We were even allowed an additional hour late check out complimentary on the holiday weekend! I will definitely be back and plan to recommend this adorable hotel to others. Our stay at The Twist was just what we needed! We were celebrating or anniversary and after looking up hotel we decided to book at The Twist. I loved the fact of having your own kitchen, not just a mini fridge and microwave. From the moment we arrived we were blown away. I believe we stayed in room 106, it had a large outdoor patio with 2 lounge chairs, couch and a fire pit. I wish we were able to enjoy it but of course we were visiting when it was 111*. The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. We enjoyed spending our days at the pool, there were always lounge chairs available and umbrellas to stay in the shade. The pool was sparkling, cool and clean, sometimes the pools at resorts look foggy like you'd see in a party hotel in Cabo. We took out the bikes for an early morning bike ride throughout the neighborhood. Only complaint there is that many of the bikes had low air but that's an easy fix. I'm sure if we called they'd be there to fill them up. The location is perfect. We enjoyed both speakeasies that are located next door. My favorite was Bootlegger but The Tailor made some good strong drinks! I'd highly recommend The Twist if you're looking for a laid back Palm Springs getaway. read more
