Casa Roma has surprised me in the best way possible. The pizza here is the best I have ever had in the Miami area. I usually come here with my friends before our dance classes next door and we always look forward to stopping by and getting a slice. The owner is so kind and so sweet and you can just tell he makes every pie with love. And it shows. When I told them that I couldn't eat pepperoni they got all flustered and told me I cannot choose what I get. I know this but I was just telling them as I would throw it away if they gave it to me. As I was waiting for the food there was someone in there that they seemed to know and only talked to that person the whole time. Completely ignoring my presence. Once I got the food I asked if I could eat there, mind you in an EMPTY restaurant, no one besides one person(the one they know) is sitting down. If you are looking for some of the best pizza in the USA, this place is at or near the top. This is Roman style pizza (not a pinsa which has gotten popular) but this is the original made with a pan. The crust is so light and crisp and the toppings are so fresh and delicious. Every bite is perfecto. They opened about 8 months ago and the owner/chef is super friendly. He hopes to have the back outdoor space open in a few months. Come take a trip to Roma by visiting this place. read more

Drove from Kendall to try this small pizza shop and WOW ! It was truly amazing ! We have had a lot of good pizza over the years but this was the best yet ! The pizza dough the owner makes is the perfect base , flavorful and airy with the right bite and if I could have bought it plain I would have brought some home to eat with good butter or even olive oil drizzled on it . The sauce was flavorful and fresh and the cheese was also of high quality - it all came together to make the perfect slices ... we had pepperoni and the amatriciana , both were so delicious. Finished off with the cannoli that were also excellent . Great Roma style pizza (square cut, thick crust by the slice), and everything including desserts are scratch-made onsite. Especially loved the mushroom, but all of the slices had top-shelf ingredients. Kind of a out-of-the-way, no real ambience, and barely any seating, but thats not the point. If you appreciate good pizza with fresh high-quality ingredients then you will love this spot. The price for the quality is right on point. Soft wheat imported from Italy and other ingredients is what takes this pie to another level. This is the type of pizza you can eat for lunch and not feel like crap afterwards. I'm more of a St Louis or NY style of pizza with super thin crispy crust but big fan of Roma pizza (if it is done right) and most Roma pizza in the US is crap. As of right now there are two spots in Miami that are hitting the 5 star mark and this is one of them. Other is in Miami Beach (North Beach). I ordered takeout and parked on NW 31st Street without a problem. Casa Roma was absolutely wonderful! It was my first time trying authentic Roman style pizza and I was blown away! The ambience and the music being played were excellent. The owner of the restaurant was an absolute delight and extremely welcoming! He made us feel like we were at home. Me and my girlfriend tried the Amatriciana, Eggplant Parmigiana, and the Funghetto pizzas. They were all excellent, but we loved the Funghetto the most. It was filled with mushrooms, parsley, and truffle oil sooo good! So much so that we ordered a 2nd one after eating all of that pizza! We also had the Suppli al Telefono which is basically a Roman style rice croquette filled with cheese. We had one of each. One was Cacio a Pepe and the other was Bolognese. Both were excellent. Then we had to try some dessert so we had the Nutella tiramisu and Bomboloni which is basically a cream-filled Italian donut. One of the best donuts I've ever tried and I'm not a huge donut guy either, but this one was orgasmic! The owner of the restaurant even offered us some free espresso and homemade limoncello before we left! He was so friendly and knowledgeable and told us about how this wonderful food is made in Rome.
