Amazing food. Typically get the carnitas (lunch or dinner), everything tastes great. People are always nice and service is good. I usually get the food to go but have noticed that they have done some very nice improvements inside,

    Ground beef nachos.

1st visit my wife and I ordered the ground beef nacho appetizer which we found really not to be to our liking however some may find it just fine. We decided not to order any additional food due to the fact that we did not care for the taste. For the most part service was quite good although our waitress was brand new and did not really understand the menu which made things a little problematic. The ambiance unfortunately was a little bit distracting because the manager was doing all kinds of restaurant paperwork at a table across from ours while he was munching on a nice tasty bag of Pepperidge Farm cookies. I believe this place is probably great for drinks as it has a fairly large bar I can't really say whether or not the food is good or not just not to our liking in addition based on that fact along with the high prices my wife and I will probably not be going back.

I really wanted to love it, but I didn't it's been a few months since I arrived and I've been craving Mexican food. So I read reviews, looked at menus and asked around - sadly it seems like no one has a Mexican restaurant they think is amazing. We decided to give Casa Villa a try, there was no one there but it was the middle of the afternoon on a sunday - the sign said open so in we went. We were seated and a nice young man can to our table with chips and salsa (best part of the meal) and took our drink order. I was with a friend, catching up so we chatted before ordering. When we did order my girlfriend ordered the shrimp quesadillas and I ordered shrimp tacos. When the food came, my girlfriend received the shrimp fajita quesadillas and I received fish tacos. Since the tacos were wrapped in foil, until I open them I did not discover that they were not shrimp. No one came back to check on us And we did not see anyone waiting tables and we were hungry, so I ate them. My friend shrimp quesadillas were very good but much larger than what she thought she was getting since she was ordering off of the lunch menu. My fish tacos were so spicy that it obliterated my taste, bud. I like spicy food, usually spicier than most places will make it so this was very very spicy. And there was no cooling agent, there was no sour cream or anything to take the bite away. The avocado salsa was pretty tasteless and so was the rice. Overall the food was a complete waste in my eyes. The saving grace was the waiter was nice, he checked the ticket and it was the kitchens fault - he had taken care to ask details about our orders so I believe him. I just wished someone had checked right back to see how our food was. There was no one there, we should have had great service and food. I would not return.

The food was phenomenal! The waitress was very nice and very skilled. The restaurant is easy to find and parking was easy. It could have used a few more decorations to make it more "Mexican" if that makes sense...and more colors. I had the carne asada and it was one the best I've had. And the sangria was amazing too. We'll come back and recommend highly.

My friend and I visited this location more than a year ago. We came in around 4pm on a Sunday when it was very slow. We were sat almost right away and the rest of the service was very quick as well. For the appetizer I ordered the Cheese Dip and our main the Seafood Fajita. Fresh nachos with salsa were served immediately followed by the arrival of our queso. Very fair price ($4.25) for the quantity that is served. Melty hot cheese that lasted even when our fajitas arrived ($21.99). We only ordered one serving and the both of us together couldn't even finish it. The menu states it comes with fish, shrimp, scallops, bell peppers, and onions. We were pleasantly surprised when we also found imitation crab added in. Everything was steaming hot, well seasoned, and very filling. You can choose between corn or flour tortillas to accompany your rice, salad, and refried beans. Overall I highly recommend visiting this Mexican Restaurant if you are in the area. Great food, price, and service all in one. Next time I visit I'll for sure be ordering some dessert.

Nothing much under $20 on the menu with nearby Mexican restaurants much cheaper. No atmosphere and mediocre service. Food ok but not great.

It's decent but as a native Californian my standards for latin/hispanic cuisine is high! A lot of what is served is greenga style.

There were wooden floors and The vibe of the Place reminded me of a saloon. I ordered three pupusa's: two LaRocco and cheese and two beans and cheese. Larocco is a spinach like vegetable that is so healthy. The ingredients of all three were so fresh and flavorful! Each was grilled to perfection! The corn masa mixed with the Cortito, salsa and delicious fresh cheese, and other ingredients, made me feel for a moment that I was in absolute pupusa heaven where all is pure pupusa euphoria! The Cortito, which is a kin to our coleslaw was fresh and crunchy, and it had onions in it as well. Instead of using mayonnaise to make their coleslaw, they use vinegar, which I much prefer. To add to the pupusa Heaven was the Salvadorean styled horslchata, which was so smooth and creamy! It had the best vanilla and cinnamon flavor. My friend ordered steak tacos and steak quesadillas and the same Horchata with a Diet Coke. The total for this food was $45 and change and we both thought that was a little pricey. However, since he got steak, it was probably a little bit more expensive than chicken. At the end of the day, the food was delicious and well worth the price. They also had the World Cup playing on the television, and a few of the Patrons were enjoying it. The ambience was chill and the server was very sweet and kind. In fact, she heard me telling my friend that I hoped the salsa would be spicy even though I knew that it wouldn't be so she brought me some spicy salsa! The traditional pupusa salsa, which is tomato sauce with some added spices was very tasty and just as I expected it to be! The spicy salsa was also very good. It was a green salsa. Our server was also very attentive. We had a good day at the El Ranchito Salvadoreano.

It's located close to McCleod hospital and seems to be a popular spot. The pupusas' are delicious and their tacos are on point. Make sure to try their salsas. The service is good and I heard the server explaining to someone what goes into a pupusa which if you've never had one I highly recommend that you try it.

While the food was delicious and drinks were flavorful, the atmosphere and service left me underwhelmed. Plus the tables and chairs looked tired and well worn. Our drinks were ordered first and not served until after we started eating...and only after a couple of inquiries. They were quite flavorful. Especially the cucumber jalapeño martini. It appeared the only bartender was also waiting tables. The kitchen staff were the highlight of our experience, because our food was delivered at the speed of light! Carnitas Verde were tender and mouth watering. They were so good that I ate them with a fork vs wrapping them in a tortilla. The verde sauce had the perfect amount of heat. Plus the portion size was generous. We sat inside by the door to the back porch. Unfortunately the door leading outside didn't close properly, so every time staff went outside, we were blasted with nuclear hot heat. Even after closing the door ourselves and mentioning the issue several times, it appeared the staff was unable to keep the door closed which made for a very unpleasant dining experience. I think we were all sweating profusely and ready to leave quickly to get back to the comfort of our AC! Our table service for 6 was also subpar. We had to repeatedly find our server to ask for drink refills and finally our checks. When preparing our checks, he came back to the table 3 times to ask us which orders were on our 3 checks. Even then our checks were incorrect. We simply decided to pay without attempting to rectify the error with our server. I understand staffing can be a challenge. Besides the bar, the restaurant appeared adequately staffed for a 5:30pm dinner service. Possibly they were having POS issues. Maybe it was an off night. Or maybe our server was new and inexperienced. Bottom line, I'll have a difficult time convincing my family to indulge me with my annual visit to Roca Roja visit next year.
