The food is great and the waitress very friendly. Prices were fair too. Easy to find and lots of parking. I took one star off because the smell of bleach when you enter the restaurant is just way too strong. We came at lunch time at noon, and almost turned back and left because of it. It is easy to find on the corner with a large sign readily visible. This is the d=sane building which has housed several restaurants over the years. There is a large parking lot with spaces adjacent to the building as well as across a traffic lane. There are multiple stairs to get to front to entrance. Be aware the handicapped parking spaces are along the rear side of the building. A long ramp runs along the side of the building starting at the rear and goes to the entrance. Once you enter the doors, there is a large waiting area with limited seating along with a hostess counter. We walked in to place our fairly large order. The hostess was very accommodating, allowing us to break up the order into separate payments. After ordering, the food only took about ten minutes to arrive. It was well packaged, and they even grouped the order based on the different payments. This was above and beyond what was expected and is a sign of great service. In addition, it was well packaged and remained hot for the short drive. The carnitas were quite good. These were not the typical charred chunks but still had good flavor. The accompanying sides were good as well. The fajita quesadilla was also good. All items were fresh and well prepared. All our other dining guests enjoyed their selections as well. In a crowded restaurant field, Los Nuevos Charros certainly earns consideration. read more

The restaurant accommodated our 4 adults 3 young's kids wonderfully. The complimentary chips and salsa were so delicious ious and our server never let our chips run low. They have lunch specials and also some kid menu items. I had enchiladas with a poblano sauce and while spicy they were very good. The enchiladas themselves had a generous amount of chicken. This place is a Gem! We were quickly seated. The place is large and nicely decorated in typical Mexican theme. Our hostess brought salsa and chips, which were delicious! Ordered the jalapeño margaritas for both of us. My wife loved hers, but I wasn't as impressed but still liked it. We were going to order an appetizer but with the salsa being so good we decided not to. I ordered the pork burrito and she ordered the Cameron Mexicano (spicy shrimp). Both came with rice and beans! They were quick to seat us, and seemed to know exactly how to handle 3 toddlers with ease. But...our waiter was apparently new as he took our order and forgot to place it. We waited an hour for our food and my sister's order was wrong and he forget the main piece - a tortilla. And brought corn vs flour. She had to ask for flour tortillas, sour cream and a refill on her wine. Clearly the kid had never been a waiter before and was brand new and didn't speak the language so it was difficult communication. I ordered a grilled shrimp salad. I assumed this was going to be over lettuce with the standard salad items that come on a salad, as the menu stated that but instead, it was in a taco shell and loaded with some type of sauce and sour cream and too many onions, etc. The shrimp was good, but I specifically asked for no onions and it was floating in them. We ordered the nachos with ground taco beef which had a good taste but was so greasy it was difficult to pick up to eat especially with no plates. Service was a bit of a challenge as our waitress spoke very little english which was okay. The decor is very plain not much of a change for the former Mexican restaurant that was there. As locals, we are so thrilled to have this restaurant in the area. The service was top notch (ask for Shaunna), the menu was expansive, and the food was delicious. Such a nice change from the over abundance of fried seafood in the area. My husband had Burritos Deluxe and I wanted to sample some things on our first visit so I ordered an amazingly delicious Bole Chile dip, a crispy beef taco, and a chicken tostada. All were delicious. Would definitely order them again. This was the best tasting Mexican food we've found in the area -- and we've been on the hunt for years. Everyone was nice, but our waitress seemed to have forgotten we existed at times because of where our booth was. The only person that was consistent was the waitress at the front desk (she was petit and had glasses). Whoever she is deserves a raise because she had a vibrant attitude and simply seemed to enjoy working there and ensure others have a great experience. The food was decent, but it definitely seemed processed. My husband's dinner had chicken apart of it and it was incredibly dry. Some of the menu items that were ordered were either the wrong dish or wasn't even brought out and we had to ask for our drinks to be refilled. And the "spicy" red sauce on my brother's dish (enchilada supreme) tasted similar to ketchup, but with a consistency of salsa. It doesn't belong there; with the price of the items on the menu, I expect the quality of food to be better and not subpar. They could've definitely done better. We won't be returning. read more
