My goal is to have the store do the right thing…read more I've spent over $10,000 at Paine's Patio in Bourne, MA, over the past two years, so I expected the quality and customer service to reflect that investment. Unfortunately, the cushions are now coming apart at the seams due to what appears to be seam slippage or separation--not fabric failure. The manufacturer's explanation states that seam separation can result from an insufficient seam allowance. Industry standards require a minimum 1/2-inch seam allowance along cushion and pillow seams. If that allowance is missing, the seams can separate over time. Based on this information, the problem appears to be a manufacturing defect rather than normal wear and tear or a failure of the fabric. I'm disappointed that furniture purchased at this price point is experiencing this issue so soon. I hope Paine's Patio will take responsibility, work with the manufacturer, and provide a fair resolution to customers who have made a significant investment in their products.

She buys and refinishes quality furniture and does a nice job. No "shabby" sheik here. The artwork from a local artist upstairs is good too. You can tell the owner is picky about what she offers. Funny story...I am an artist of sorts and am out here on the Cape caring for a family member. My friends asked me if I'd painted anything interesting since I got here and I said, "like what?" One said, "we'll, any rocks or sea shells?" So when I met the owner and she asked if I was looking for anything special, I said, "Well, since you asked, do you have any large cape sea shells?" (Just expecting her to laugh.) But she said, "just a minute" and then came back with two large clam shells she and her husband had gathered from the bay last summer. She gave them to me for free. We did our research and visited a few retail outlets. We decided to select PnP& BS with a saltwater system. Rod and his assistant came over and scoped out the area where we wanted to place the tub. All details were addressed, and a time frame and price were established. Rod delivered exactly what was promised! In fact, he actually "over-delivered"! He spent considerable time on the installation and operating procedures. He followed up several times and his personality was simply extraordinary! On the phone he said "I know exactly the set you are selling." Agreed on a price. Today, he comes and says it's not what he thought it was ("I thought it was bigger.") and will pass. One day before we need to move. Every interaction was laced with condescension.

One of them is that the contract end date is the very day you must pick up any unsold items or they become the property of Robin's Nest. We had hoped to pickup our items prior to that day and Robin suggested we hold off. She did not mention during that communication that there was this policy in place or that she would hold firm on this policy. As a consequence, we were not able to pick up our unsold item. We were concerned as well about the price she sold the items for. We have emails from Robin that the items sold at a certain price. When it came time to send us a cheque, the amount was substantially lower than the number stated in the emails. When questioned, her response was that she made an error in the earlier emails she sent us. It would seem that Robin expects consideration for her mistakes but will not allow that same consideration for our lack of information. We would not recommend Robin's Nest based on our experience. Her policies and ethics left us feeling disappointed and cheated.

I was able to find the small fans I had looked all over for very quickly in BB&B. Easy check out. I had no problem using their coupon. If you're on their mailing list you get some decent coupons periodically for 20% off or $10 off purchase of $30. All their prices are elevated, but with the coupons, it's not so bad for hard to find things. Lot parking is somewhat shared with Home Depot so watch out for large trucks and folks with oversized loads.

The discrepancy in this case, they advertised in-store, in writing, and show on the large sign next to a display a set of Essential Home aluminum pots/pans a 12 piece boxed set for $ 27.99. There were at least 12 boxes at the display. At the register it rang up for $45. When one of the staff came over, after the rosaming check out assistant called her, she said that $45 was the correct price. I walked her to the display, she scanned one of the boxes and the written/posted ad, turned to me and said that the skews did not match. Off we went to find a manager who promptly said that the advertised item was not what is on display and not available except to order and ship. What was on the floor and what we had selected was at full price. The ESSENTIAL pots/pans that was on sale could be ordered. I asked why the sign was there, if it did not relate the the product that it was with? It was a clear BAIT AND SWITCH. BAD PRACTICE BED BATH AND BEYOND. Seems like unfair and dishonest treatment of your customers. I told one of the staff to VOID the rest of my merchandise which already totalled $260 and left the store. I went to TARGET instead. Hey BB&B, treat your customers better or you will go out of business. I will NOT shop from any of your stores again.
