I've been having serious back issues as of lately. I would definitely say the intake was thorough and comprehensive. It's hard to assess a chiropractor after only one visit. I feel overall it went good. I know with adjustments. It's something that you have to do over a period of time. One adjustment isn't going to solve really much of anything. Possibly relieving some pain for the time being. My friend cut me a Groupon for here. Which includes the initial assessment. Which is an x-ray and consultation. Plus, a 60 minute massage. To be used at a later date. Definitely a good way for a beginner to get an idea of what and how it all works. I've had many adjustments over the years. It definitely takes more than one adjustment to know how good a chiropractor is. Yet, it's definitely good when they listen and take the time to try and understand what your physical issues are. For Sacroilliac joint relief, he will perform a hip pull, and it fixes that issue perfectly. I have had hundreds of adjustments from lance over the years, and his adjustments always hit the mark. Prior to the that, I've always experienced minor neck and back pain from working or sitting for long periods of time. I always felt nervous to go to a chiro but Dr. Casazza made me feel extremely comfortable. Prior to my initial appointment, he even called me on his personal cell to introduce himself and explain the process; which I really appreciated. On the day of my first appointment, I met his staff who are all extremely welcoming (especially Gabby!). They gave me a tour of the office, explained the check-in process, and I went in for x-rays/MRI. I've been seeing Dr. Casazza for about a month now (2-3x a week). Here's what each visit looked like for me: -Check-in at the front through a computer -First room: Dr. Casazza would adjust me. The BEST neck and back cracks you'll ever feel!! -Second room: I think it's called an Electro Muscle Stimulation machine. Basically, you lay down and they place these pads on your back that vibrates + an ice pack. -Third room: THE HYDROBED! Feels so good after the icepack from the previous room. Years ago I was in a lot of pain and was having trouble getting through my competitive CrossFit training. There were days In my late 20s I could hardly tie my own shoes. Not a great look for a gym owner like myself. I tried many things to get out of pain to no avail. At the time I thought Chiropractors to be dangerous and scammy. I just had nothing left to try so I went to one out of desperation. I went and got adjusted a few times and felt good as new and stronger than before. Dr. Lance is awesome, can't say enough great things about him and his staff. I had prolonging pain in my left trap/neck for about 4 years consistently and couldn't find the answer to getting rid of the pain, everything I tried was only temporary. Before meeting Lance my knowledge about chiropractic care was at a minimum, a chiropractor I tried before scheduled me 6 adjustments over a summer and no wonder the pain came back. Lance sat me down and went over my X-ray results and the best way for us to tackle the problem. I'm about 4 months into consistent treatment now (first month 3x a week, next three months 2x a week, and my last two months will be 1x a week). I found Dr casazza when I was experiencing lower back pain and needed alignment. During the initial consultation he educated me on chiropractic process and the things to consider. He was not pushing me to any treatment but educating me so I could make the decision I wanted. After starting treatment I was involved in a bad car accident. Friendly front staff, warm and welcoming environment, knowledgeable Doctor. How can you go wrong? I initially came across Dr. Casazza after looking for another Chiropractor in the Sacramento area, due to nagging issues, from the military (Army), gym, OCR (Obstacle Course Racing) like the Spartan Races, and general life. After narrowing it down to two, I looked at their client feedback on Yelp and also what they specialized in. And Dr. Casazza met the criteria that I was looking for. INITIAL VISIT: I schedule my initial consulation on Veteran's Day since I was off that day, and once at in the office Jessica (one of the Chiropractic Assistance) escorted me in the back to watch the intro video and then I met with Dr. Casazza afterwards. Dr. Casazza is the type of person that will give it to straight, and as he says it "Won't try to sell you on anything" which I liked. He's very confident in what he does, and assures you that if you're willing to take the course of proper treatment, and not just pain relief....he'll get you there. No matter if it may take a couple more visits then setup in your treatment plan, you'll get that extra treatment covered under your plan because he wants you to be back to tip-top-shape. Another thing I liked about Dr. Casazza is that we started talking about our general lives during my initial visit, and got onto the topic about me being a military veteran. First he thanked me for my service (which wasn't needed, but appreciated), he also talked about closing down the office next year so his whole team could go to a Veteran's Day event. And he said because of my service he would wave my exam fee which was almost $100.00. And to top it off as more of a thank you, he gave me an even larger discount than normal on the total cost of my Chiropractic care, because I paid all at once. Which saved me several hundreds of dollars. TREATMENT: With how my treatment schedule is set up I see Dr. Cassaza's partner Dr. Magale from Active Live Chiropratic (I have a review for her too) more often. But when I see Dr. Casazza he always asks how I'm doing and feeling, and if I've pushed it a little too hard in training or whatever. Dr. Casazza makes sure I get back to feeling good. It helps that after every visit, they have you lay down on their hydro massage bed. And hot water pulsates under you. They've even had me in their physical therapy room, hooked up to their muscle stimulation machine that sends electronic pulses deep down into your muscle for quicker recovery. First, I must say that I was a bit hesitant to go to a chiropractor after I injured by lower back playing basketball. BUT, I was having trouble standing up for long periods at a time and felt completely stiff in the mornings. After 2 weeks of pain, I decided that I needed to see someone about it. I knew that if I go to my regular doctor they would just tell me to take pain meds and rest. So I finally decided to get a consultation with Dr. Casazza. He was extremely friendly and KNOWS his stuff. He did not try to "sell" me and his top concern was to heal my back. My 1st adjustment ever felt really good and I definitely had more flexibility. I still had pain the following day, but if a one-time adjustment healed me to 100%, it would be a miracle and Dr. Casazza would have to change his name to Je... After about 3 weeks and several adjustments later, I am back to about 90% and can now stand for long periods of time without any pain. I still have a tiny bit of morning stiffness, but I believe its because I'm still healing. I also am able to workout again which is the best. I stopped through here as a traveler looking for relief after five days of a headache and shoulder pain. The doctor told me I could tell him where my pain points were or he could just do his standard check. I elected not to tell him where my pain points were and I'll be damned if he didn't immediately go to the primary painpoint and I came in for. Within 30 seconds the pain I've been dealing with for five days in an almost debilitating state was gone. I found them on yelp. I don't normal circumstances I don't see just any chiropractor. I made my appointment for the $77 special. I should have known something was up when the person on the phone kept repeating: Dr. Casazza does not do single adjustments. Meanwhile I heard a very loud voice in the hallway, talking to someone else, saying how: Oh yeah! This whole thing in a hoax! Even the CDC is saying it now! - Then he goes on to say something about how Trump is obviously going to win again and the truth will come out. Ok. I'm praying it's not Casazza. But it was. He comes into the room, with the face mask only covering his mouth. He removes his mask to show me "who is under the mask." Then asks if I'm a hand shaker! I was like: No. Not right now. Then I proceeded to ask if he was the person in the hallway who had said something about how COVID was a hoax. He was like: Oh yeah! Its all lies. I even wrote a book about it. It's called: Stop Buying Toilet Paper. I got up and interrupted him saying: How dare you! I've got friends who have lost parents because of COVID! You should be ashamed of yourself! I have to start by saying I stumbled across Dr.Lance on a groupon and didn't know this groupon would save me from so much pain. Before coming to Casazza Chiropractic I was having pains in areas I never experienced before. I was starting to wonder why is this happening. My first visit he was able to sit me down and basically nail what I was doing to cause that pain. He even took X-rays of my back and was able to show me how he can help. I am such a visual learner that I really needed to see that X-ray. I told myself let's just do this and see how it goes!
