I had loaned it to a friend, who used the sunroof, and unfortunately, a clogged drain caused water to leak into the vehicle. Over the years, mold, mildew, and a terrible odor built up inside. I took the SUV to a repair shop and was given an estimate of over $10,000 to fix it. I was ready to throw my hands up and buy a new car when a friend recommended Jim's Auto Detail. I decided to give them a try, and I'm SO glad I did! I took the time to fix the clogged drain myself, which turned out to be a relatively inexpensive fix, and then Jim's worked their magic. In less than 48 hours, my SUV looked brand new! There was no mold, no mildew, and absolutely no lingering odor. It was sparkling clean--honestly, no one would ever know that this vehicle had been sitting in that condition for five years. The employees were honest, professional, and incredibly helpful, and their prices were EXCELLENT. Thanks to Jim's, I didn't need to buy a new car, and I couldn't be happier with the results. However, after the polishing was done, I noticed that the water spots were still clearly visible. I'm not sure if they even properly polished the car, as the entire process took only about an hour for the whole vehicle. I'm very disappointed, and I feel like I did not get the service I paid for.

The manager of this location claimed to know me and my situation as he was an employee in Bellevue while I was a customer there. I didn't remember him, but I also primarily dealt with the Shop and Store manager, so it was clear we didn't have a history. However, based on my Bellevue experience, I was confident I would be taken care of. Spent a few hours here, they acknowledge that they could hear something that didn't sound right, but they couldn't identify it. At that point, I left defeated and for the next 8 years, I didn't listen to a lick of music in this car, because it seriously angered me. I became a dedicated Podcast listener and even the podcast sounded like a transistor radio. Finally in 2025, I went to Waves in Olympia and within a hour, the owner came out to the waiting area to inform me that my stereo was out of phase, he made the appropriate adjustments and when he played me music, it was like a lullaby. Half of me wanted to cry and the other half wanted to sleep. Anybody can connect a wire, but when you deal with electronics, there are other elements at play like phase, signal strength, power and fidelity. This is why places like Waves exists. CarToys has proven to be the Supercuts on car audio. As a grown man, I'd warn you about a $20 haircut and the problem with CarToys is they also charge you Gene Jaurez fees and provide you with A quality of product far below industry standard and their low review scores reflect this.

I made my appointment 2 weeks prior so the fact that I wasn't made aware of this fee until the night before the service is crazy. I opted to cancel my appointment all together, I'm not a fan of how they manage their business. I'm also super disappointed that the gift my husband was so excited for won't happen until I can find someone else to detailed his truck - hopefully someone more reliable.

So the experience was great, it was done quickly, and I was given a walk around of the finished result which was appreciated. As far as price, it was surprisingly reasonable when put up against other shops in our area, you can tell these guys really love their craft. I even ended up changing my mind and decided to add on windshield tint after I was shown how nice it looks on an actual car and not just an example panel, which was cool. I will be getting paint protection through them in the near future, and recommending them to anyone I know that is looking for tint, I don't write reviews often but this one stood out as worth it. It had a cheap cover on it that was just holding water on it. It had mold on the dashboard, doors and floor and there was a green slime on the convertible top that I could not remove. I chose the level 3 cleaning (no ozone). I am amazed at how clean my car is. It looks brand new. The convertible top is back to gleaming black and the rest of the car, inside and out, is just shining clean. The cleaning was done a couple months ago and it is still awesome. My car is 3 years old (15k miles), never been in an automatic wash, and this is what it looks like now. Disappointed as Jim's has pretty high reviews for some reason.
