I called CGC about my glass shower door that was starting to sag after almost 15 years of use! Note: these 3/8 hinged glass doors are heavy, and caused glass frame to pullout of the metal channel. I had a mixed experience with Cascade Glass but in the end they won me over.... In Fall 2017 they installed a shower glass door in my master bath (hired through my contractor, not me). The door looked absolutely beautiful, but once I started using it, I discovered that it only opened by pushing the door in, not out. At the time, I tried calling Cascade Glass numerous times to ask what might be involved in having it fixed so that it opened properly. I never got a return call and eventually gave up and lived with the annoyance. But recently it seemed that the doors had shifted and were danger of rubbing against each other. I called Cascade Glass, and lo and behold, got a call back from Dennis. We set an appointment and Rusty showed up timely, knowledgable, and helpful. Within a few minutes, Rusty was able to make adjustments to address both problems, attributing the recent shift to the settling of a new bathroom. It was quick, easy, friendly, and no charge. I definitely appreciated Rusty's service. Rusty did mention to me that by law the door needed to open out. This made me on one hand feel vindicated that the door opening issue was important (as well as annoying), but also made me pretty pissed that neither my contractor nor Cascade Glass made sure it was safe and legal when initially installed. Nevertheless, as I said, Cascade Glass won me over. Main thing is that I think they may need some admin help. But based on the overall quality of my shower door, and Rusty's responsiveness in fixing it, they're OK with me. read more

Called on a Sunday and left a message about a class shower door that was installed 10 years ago that was out of alignment could they help me. Dennis called first thing Monday morning had his crew here at 11:15 corrected problem in less then an hour. They were very nice and pleasant people! I called Tuesday to give a credit card for payment but Dennis said no charge this should not have failed. AMAZING GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALIVE AND WELL!! I will use them for everything. My story starts with an order placed online, quoted as being ready for pickup in a week. Ok, that's fair. A week later I call to confirm my order is ready for pickup, only to be told my order can't be found and I will be called back "as soon as we figure out what's going on." Never called back. I call back the next day to be told my order was never confirmed, apparently my email saying "sounds great, I'll be there to pick it up with a credit card" isn't a confirmation. I am told now that my order will be ready in 3 days. Great. 3 days later I received a call explaining that my glass came in chipped and needs to be replaced, another 2 days. 2 days later I once again call to confirm my order, where I am told that my glass has been delivered, but to the wrong glass shop, and will take another day to be returned. After numerous calls attempting to reach Rusty Davidson, the one handling my order, I am continuously told he is unavailable and referred to a voicemail, where I explain my confusion and frustration, only to receive a call several days later with no apology, no explanation, and only a brief voicemail claiming my order has finally arrived, a totally of 3 weeks later. No acknowledgement of my voicemail, no apologies for the 2 week delay, and no attempt at all to make up for any of it. I refuse to pick up my order, assuming it's even there and in tact. I called Distinctive Glass and was quoted for literally half the price, given a confirmation number, and told my order with be rushed with excellence. They are professional, timely, and have far superior customer service. I would rather wait yet another week than give Cascade Glass ANY business whatsoever. Avoid Cascade Glass at all costs. Recommended by a friend. They didn't come on the day we agreed, that I'd written on my deposit check, then came and the installer was very rude. They didn't bring everything they needed to do the job and had to order it and come back a week later. I think there were at least ten phone calls required to get this small job accomplished. They had the lowest bid but the customer service stunk. When I commented that the installer was rude he just made excuses. My advice? Deal with someone else. The product when it was installed was fine eventually but way too much back and forth. I like to support small businesses that are locally owned but these guys need to get a clue about follow through and how to keep customers happy. No apology. read more

We are at the end of a bathroom remodel and ordered the glass shower enclosure from Cascade. After the initial contact, we had a firm bid return 2 days later, compared to 2 weeks and 10 days from the other two companies we contacted. Cascade had the best price and scheduled the job for the following week. The work and finished product met our expectations in every way. The installers arrived on time, installed the enclosure and were neat and tidy with the cleanup. About a week after the install, there was a joint/seam that needed remedial work. We contacted Rusty and he sent someone out the next day. We haven't had a problem since. I'd say that the customer service for us was perfect. For us, it was "customer first" all the way, unlike the other reviewers. Maybe CGC has taken a good look and focused on a CS improvement. read more

I had used Cascade Glass for many projects during a large remodel project and they did a good job installing several shower doors. A few years after that someone broke a large window in one of our bedrooms which I had Cascade Glass come out to repair. They replaced the window and everything was fine until the window failed and the wood molding that the window sat in developed rot from improper installation. The rot was on the inside meaning the window was not properly sealed from the outside. Cascade states their windows have a 10 year warranty and this window failed in approximately 8 years. When they came out to measure they informed me that the manufacturer of the window had gone out of business (which I had read on line to be true) and that they could not honor the warranty but "would take good care of me and get me a good price!" Their "good deal" turned out to be almost 50% more than the other quote I received from a trusted window manufacturer and installer. If that was the good deal I would hate to see what a "bad deal" would have been! Quite honestly I could have lived with them not honoring their warranty had they just recognized that they owed me a window. Had they given me a truly good deal I would have been fine even though my warranty was with them NOT the manufacturer - not really my problem they went out of business. But to charge me 50% more than the next guy for something they were supposed to have warrantied is BS! Needless to say I will never be using them again!!! read more

If I could give a zero I would because that's the amount of attention I've received from this company. I drove to see them with a piece of paper/pattern I made to create a glass topper for a new piece of furniture. I waited while the owner, animatedly talked with a couple before me about a custom bathroom job he could do for them. Then the customer cut his personal effusive self promotion off to say, this gal looks like she needs some help. When the people left he coolly asked me what I needed. I gave him my pattern and asked him what he thought it might cost, he did some measurements and gave a quote that seemed right. After that he had nothing to say. I had to lead the conversation. Should I pay now or at pick up? Oh, at pick up. OK when when will that be? Hopefully in about a week and a half, but I can't be sure. Huh? OK So how will I know it's ready? with distracted body language Uh, we'll call you. This is when I knew I was getting the brush off. Indeed, it's been 4.5 weeks and I've never heard from them. I'm guessing he's a gold-digger and never intended to do my job unless I bothered him about it. Cascade Glass is THE BEST. They not only installed a gorgeous, huge, shower door, but they partnered with my contractor with new ideas to make it even better. They just came back to make a slight adjustment to the seal and were a joy to have in my house. One wouldn't accept my offer of a cup of coffee but I won't hold that against them. Came and replaced the glass in a window for me. Unfortunately, the glass that they used has a greenish color that is very noticeable compared with the surrounding (clear) windows. I never anticipated this problem, given that they are glass experts. I've called, left messages, and never been able to get in touch with anybody to discuss the problem. They literally never answer the phone or return calls. My advice would be to look elsewhere for a glass company. read more

We are thrilled with the frameless glass shower enclosure Cascade put in. I would not hesitate to use them again. We got an estimate within 2 or 3 days after calling them. They were polite, helpful and gave us an installation date as soon as we made a 50% down payment. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the glass they ordered so it couldn't be installed as scheduled. On the day the installation was scheduled, I had to call them to ask where they were. It would have been nice if they had told us about the problem before we had to call them.They were apologetic and rescheduled for the next week. They arrived on time, were competent, professional , and polite. They cleaned up their work area and did not leave a mess. read more

Worst. Customer. Service. EVER. My guess is that any 3 star + reviews this business gets are fake or are from people who ordered something and got it with no problems. How a business treats it's customers when things go wrong is what truly matters, especially in a business of this nature where custom orders and construction timelines are involved. The customer service i received was shockingly bad. 1. Placed an order for a glass shower door, was told it would take about two weeks. 2. Two weeks came and went. I called and left a message. No response. Called again the next day, still no response. 3. The next day I called and got a hold of the owner and I was told (in his usual gruff manner) that my door arrived at his shop 3 days ago(!) but he sent it back because there was a scratch (he didn't call me to let me know). I told him that I had a tenant moving in and needed it asap so I wanted to see the door to see if it was acceptable to me and he told me he had already sent it back to his vendor. I was told it would arrive in 5 days. I told him that I couldn't wait that long, but he refused to call his vendor and ask for the scratched door to be returned. I asked him to call his vendor to ask them to prioritize this remake order over new orders and he flat out refused. 4. I pleaded with him to try to get his vendor to deliver on Thursday, he said he'd try. I asked him to call me back to let me know so I could coordinate with my contractor. He never called. 5. I called Wed (twice) and Thursday (twice) and never received a call back. I was told the owner (Dennis) was sick on Thursday but I left messages on three different voice mails (since nobody was answering the main number). 6. By 11 am Friday I still had not heard from Cascade Glass, despite the desperate pleading in my voice messages. Since leaving messages is useless, i kept calling until i finally got Dennis on the line. He said the thought my order was in and he would call me back "in a few minutes". 2 hours went by and finally I got a call telling me my order was in. 7. When I went in to pick it up, I tried telling Dennis how frustrated I was with the lack of response, and how difficult it was to plan logistics with my tenant and my contractor, but he kept cutting me off and, amazingly, started YELLING AT ME!!!!!! He told me to take my business elsewhere! Oh, Dennis, you have no idea how I wish I could have done exactly that, but you knew full well that was impossible for me to do so for a custom order with a 2 week turn around time. All I can do is warn people to STAY AWAY FROM CASCADE GLASS!! The customer service is atrocious! Dennis, you can't treat people like this and not expect them to get on yelp and rant about it. Fellow yelpers, if Dennis replies and tries to convince you that I was the problem, I will admit that after he refused to listen to my complaints and started yelling at me, my frustrations boiled over and I used profanity and yelled back at him. I am normally a calm person, the type that tries to find the manager to commend a good worker, but Dennis' staggering lack of concern for his customer's predicament and incredibly non-professional demeanor made me lose my composure. read more

My curious cats knocked a large, custom picture frame off our mantle and broke the glass. We live near Cascade and called to see if they did work like that and were quoted a 3 day turn around time. Later that day, we walked down with the empty frame so they could get an exact fit for the glass. The guy at the front was super helpful and told us it would probably be done that afternoon. We had no sooner returned home and taken our shoes off, when the phone rang and they said it was done! Super cheap price, super quick service, and it looks great! Very happy with this company and we're sad we're moving, as we would definitely use them again! read more

As an architect, I've worked with Dennis + Rusty numerous times over the past 20 years or so. In my experience Cascade Glass is a good value, they are the first folks I call when it comes to shower glass. Their finished product and craftsmanship have always been great in spite of some tricky requirements and installations. read more

We have used Cascade glass for two house projects. We are do it yourselfers and these guys have been great to bounce ideas off. We had them install a frosted glass door and half wall for a shower as well as cut a custom piece of glass for a kitchen table my husband made. Our only issue is that they aren't open on the weekend. read more

It took over 2 months to replace a small piece of glass (with 2 attempts due to their poor measurement) and they left the window in worse condition than before. I had them order it and within a week, they got it and the guys that came out to replace it were friendly and respectful. Good price too. Simple and easy - that's all I look for in home repair. I did not checked Yelp before I went to their store, my bad. Went to their store and while waiting to be attended to the person behind the counter (Denis) was on the phone being rude to what sounded like a customer. Then when he came to serve me had a dismissive tone. I said that this appeared to be a "bad day" for him and that I would rather leave. He changed his tune and was more helpful. However, when the ordered item arrived to be installed it was obviously wrong, even the installers agreed that it was horribly wrong and they took it away. Just received a call from them telling me that it is basically tough luck and the article is mine and that there will be no refund whatsoever - they basically hung up on me saying that they did not want to continue the conversation. I have never received such bad customer service...well I have but this rates up there with the worst. We dropped off an example piece of class that I needed a replica made of on October 30th. We broke it during a move and I wanted it fixed right away so we had end tables and lamps in the living room. They told us it would take a week and a half. When I had not heard anything in three weeks I called and they said, "Oops sorry when it came back it had a crack in it so we had to send it back. We will call when it is in but it should be here in a few days." A week later we had not received another call so we called again. It still wasn't there and he said it should be there tomorrow and he would call. We hadn't heard in another couple days so we called (we had people coming into town and really wanted it.) He said oh ya it has been here for almost a week....WHAT? So we go to pick it up and says oh I didn't even look at it it looks big, take it home and if it is to big draw a line on it and bring it back in. We bring it back because it was a few inches to big on each side (let me tell you I brought in one from the other end table so he could make sure it looked the exact same a few inches to big is ridiculous). He fixes it and says if it doesn't fit next bring the table in...Why he didn't say to do that in the first place is beyond me. So we bring it home and it is an 8th of an inch to long. So I call them to tell them my concerns...at first calmly and slowly becoming more agitated. Because they completely disregard my concerns and tell me they have thousands of customers and don't have time to do follow up...If you don't have time to do follow up and provide good customer service then I don't have time to come to your store. I will never go back...Their people skills are horrible and if they can't cut glass precisely and make sure it is the same size as the example I brought in then they shouldn't have 1000's of customers.
