The Keizer Miracle of Christmas is a family tradition of mine…read more This is such a wonderful place to enjoy Christmas lights and support the community. Food and cash donations are made at the start of the 3/12 mile of lights. All the food and money goes to the Marion Polk Food Share. The lights are 6pm to 10pm daily. Once you start friendly Snow-Cop barricades indicating the direction of the route. This event is held every year by the Keizer Police and the Gusbser neighborhood association. Every house is diffencet they the next, they change them up every year. Some houses stick with the same thing but it doesn't make it any less special. Special Note: Crazy busy on Fridays, Christmas Eve, and Christmas. Stick to the weekdays if you don't want to spend a few hours driving around.

And, when you factor in that it's going to take you at least 90 minutes to feel somewhat..meh about a light tour, I suggest finding another option--especially if you're not in or from Sal/Keiz. See, back in the day what made this place a truly magical visit was twofold: on the one hand, you had amazing participation rates; on the other, you had themes that drew cul-de-sacs and lanes together. I would say participation last night (12/21/13) was about 50% of houses, and that's being generous. Also, all of the street themes are gone. When I was a kid, there was Christmas-Card Lane, and the 12 Days of Christmas cul-de-sac, and Stocking Street, and Peanuts Place, and ... the list goes on. Now, it's up to each participating neighbor to choose a theme (or not). What remains are some nicely decorated homes, about five - six per block, a visit from Santa with free canes (for your donation, non-perishable food or cash), and approximately five homes, one street, and one court that really stand out with some memorable decorations. I'm on the fence about whether the display is truly a-ok or not, but given that I plan to try it again sometime, I'll let the three stars do the talking.

A few years later, we converted a laundry room into a bathroom so returned to Kelly's to shop for a stackable washer and dryer. The salesman asked about the brand of our washer and dryer, and sold us the very inexpensive part needed to stack the appliances we had at home. Money saved! Recently, in search of double wall ovens, we yet again returned to Kelly's. This time we met Todd Edgar. We had done a *lot* of research and were pretty sure of what we wanted. Todd really knows his stuff! He answered our questions, provided knowledgeable insight, and researched our concerns. I especially appreciated his ability to communicate information clearly. And his patience is quite commendable. If you're looking for an appliance, go see Todd!

Then several months later the sprayer blade broke again, after it was out of warranty. We figured out that due to the dishwasher not being level that the sprayer blade was getting caught up in the pool of water caused by the unbalanced unit. We contacted Kelly's to see if they at least had a leveling bolt we could get / purchase and were told that the person who installed the unit would contact us, which never happened. Ultimately we got a leveling bolt for free from a local appliance repair store (thank you) and fixed the dishwasher ourselves, but we had to buy two sprayer blades and deal with a leaking /overflowing dishwasher due to their bad installation job.
