I was able to secure appointments for both immediately. Before that even, they responded to my question placed via their website within 48 hours. I can't begin to tell you how many businesses never reply to website questions, but they did and I really appreciate that. The Vet Asst was super sweet & you could tell she loves animals (at least kitties!) and Dr Vincenzi was fantastic and provided lots of useful information for me. We just moved to the area and our dog was coming due for two vaccinations. However, she seems to be a nervous licker and licked her paw so much it had an abscess. She has been my child for 11 years. We have been through a lot together. This wasn't the first abscess and I was confident we could handle it at home. Well, as soon as I thought it was looking good puss oozed again. Since she was coming up on vaccinations due, I decided to find a vet close by. I know she is older and it scares me that something major can happen at any moment and I need to be able to drive quickly to a vet. I looked at the map in relation to my location and this vet seemed like it fit the distance. I called and they had a spot for us the next day's afternoon. Already, I was happy. Fast forward to our arrival. The front desk staff was nice and Belle was weighed. It took about 5 minutes to get placed into a room. My husband did great answering every question thrown our way. He described the abscess and the at home care. While we were at it, we asked about a teeth cleaning. Then the Doc came in. We had to repeat everything already told to the tech. She squeezed the paw and it basically sounded like she wanted to perform surgery immediately to take it off. Then she followed that with word vomiting a bunch of other unnecessary things. I can manage listening to that and saying yes or no. I will never get back the insane amount of time spent there. Going in for 2 vaccines and check on an abscess, we sat there for an hour and 20 minutes. Why? Well, they kept wanting to write up how much everything would be so we can make decisions. Long story short, this was an ER vet filling in and we definitely felt that. We couldn't even get an antibiotic for our dog without them wanting to draw blood. I love my dog and will do anything for her but that will not involve returning to this vet. Don't worry, we got her vaccines. She is up to date for a while now. read more

I've been going to this Vet Clinic for 5 years. But i've become very unsatisfied and disappointed in how service has been the last few visits. The communication is all over the place. On the phone they told me my appointment would take 30 min but it lasted an hour for just a few shots and a check up. Someone checked her heart and that was it. They didn't look around my dog or anything special to examine her. Idk why i paid for an annual exam. I also asked for flea medication because my dog has them and then i was told the total for everything and paid. I asked where is the Bravecto? and they responded "Well you didn't pay for it" when my receipt clearly said i paid for it. I have utilized their services through the years for three cats and a dog, and I have nothing but good things to say about this establishment. Pet ownership is an expensive proposition, and vet bills only add to it. However, all things being equal, I find that the prices here are fair and reasonable. I do have a favorite doctor there for my pets, and typically try to schedule their appointments with him, but I have found each of the employees working there to be both kind and professional. When we lost our 16-year-old dachshund to old age, we brought her in for cremation services offered through them. The woman we dealt with was extremely sympathetic and handled our old girl's little body like she was still with us, and offered words of compassion to my wife and I, which was very much what my wife needed at the time. It was comforting to deal with such a compassionate individual. Look, reviews are a "Take it for what it's worth" type of thing. No one is perfect, and businesses are comprised of human beings interacting with other human beings. All I'm saying is that you could do a lot worse than to be dealing with CVC. My animals have all remained healthy, and I credit at least some of that to the information I receive from the doctors here, and the services they provide. I do not hesitate to recommend them. If my wife and I could place a 0 star rating it would fit our experience perfectly. Our visit to the vet was for our European Doberman puppy,, at that time he was 2 months old. The Associate Veterinarian Franklin Vincenzi gave us the most unwelcome feeling, since our puppy had cropped ears and a docked tail in which is the normal coming from some Doberman breeders. After examination he called us and asked who cropped his ears? I replied a Veterinarian that a significant percent of breeders in the bay area uses. Franklin replied, " they did a terrible job, your puppy's ears will not post and his tail is horrible, you will need to learn to accept the puppy for his future looks" at this point we felt so terrible cause his tone of voice made it sound like it's our fault. Then he asked if we had a trainer and I said yes, his reply, "your gonna need one" After the phone conversation the assistant brought our puppy out and a few seconds later Franklin followed. Right away he commented that he was expecting a truck. (I drive a Rav4) Right then I knew he was coming out to just bash on us. Before Franklin spoke I asked him how much experience he had with European Doberman puppy's and cropped ears. Franklin could not answer truthfully. Zero stars if I could. BEWARE!!!! I took my dog in to have her anal glands expressed. They wanted to flush them completely out. So they gave her a sedative and did the procedure. I get a phone call a few minutes later letting me know that he(the vet-Dr. V)felt a mass that is blocking over 50% of her colon and my dog has a heart murmur. When I returned to get my dog he told me he is not optimistic and that it's cancer. Well that put me in an emotional state, thinking that my dog is dying. They put her on laxatives and had me make an appointment with a specialist. Well can't get into the specialist for a month. So after a month of stressing out and crying we have our appointment. The vet there does an ultrasound because she can not fill a mass in her colon. She does an ultrasound from her pelvis to her butt, looks at her heart, lungs, liver, kidney, etc. Well she can not find a mass ANYWHERE and told me my dog definitely does not have a heart murmur. So a day of missed work, stressing and crying for a month and $1000, the vet told me my dog is really healthy especially for her age and that she believes the vet (Dr.V)felt compacted poop and the laxative cleared it out. Called the vets office, and told them the situation. The manager calls me back a week later, I ask her what they are going to do to make this right. She told me she would get with the owner(she was having a meeting with him that week), and she would let me know. Well it has been WEEKS now, still has not called me. Can't reach her(she is always unavailable). So pet parents BEWARE!!!! read more

These people are amazing. I brought my Boy Cash in knowing he may not come home with me. When the decision I dreaded had to be made, I struggled. The Dr. and all the staff were amazing and supportive. It felt like they genuinely cared, and I believe they do. They gave me time alone, they took care of everything and never pressured me at all. Hard to even award 1 Star for this vet. Unless you are prepared to pay $$$$$ I would keep on looking. Took my dog in for a east problem and paid $195.00. They gave exam and ear infection treatment. At end of appt I was given a list of prices for all the doc recommendations. Over 1000.00!!!!! Today I take my dog back for second ear treatment that was part of the treatment process and they added 40.00 to wash his ears and apply medicine. That I was NOT told about the additional cost. They presented it like I paid and just needed to return for the second dose. Oh, AND come back on 4 weeks to have him re him rechecked. NOT!!!!! I wouldn't recommend Cascade Vet unless you like not having your time valued and you love getting hit with any junk fee they can throw at you. seriously with all of the bad choices out there I don't know why in the world this place even has one customer left. On top of that, I cannot over emphasize enough how they will hit you with junk fees, trying to squeeze out every penny that they can from their loyal customers. We moved to Marysville less than a year ago and had a tragic experience with a veterinary office in the Smokey Point area that resulted in the untimely death of our two year old boxer. I was anxious and wary, but had heard that Cascade was a very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable place where I could trust bringing my dogs. Our vet went above and beyond by letting us know not only the diagnosis for what ailed my pup, but options for easing her pain and discomfort as she got older. Overall very helpful! THIS IS THE BEST VET I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. Our black lab suddenly had a strange bulging eye as if it was going to pop out of the socket. We thought it was conjunctivitis. We took her into Cascade as they were the only vet that could see us right away. IT WAS DEFINITELY LUCK. Basically, the Dr. diagnosed it as a "Retrobulbar-Abscess" (google it). Personally, I did not believe his diagnosis at first and pushed him for antibiotics (conjunctivitis). The next day, we began to agree with him. Her eye looked much worse. I started calling around to every vet in the area including Mount Vernon and Bellingham. Only two vets in the entire area confirmed they even knew what a "Retrobulbar-Abscess" was. The same day, Cascade took our dog in for emergency surgery, and the results were fantastic. If not for Cascade vet, we would have had a very difficult time solving this rare condition, not including the emergency surgery. THIS IS THE BEST VET EVER! read more

Will not listen to you when you try to explain your pets needs. Insists their way is the only way and if you question them they will talk down to you. Communication is poor, multiple phone messages went unanswered, as well as emails. They've never been more than mildly friendly in the office and show no particular interest in the animal, unlike our last vet who would kiss the dog when he saw him. I didn't appreciate getting a Cascade Vet Center business card slapped on my car door with "Veterinary Parking Only" scrawled in very poor handwriting. If you have reserved parking, by all means, shell out a few bucks and have your spaces CLEARLY MARKED. By the way, I have 3 dogs and reside in Marysville. You can bet I won't be going ANYWHERE NEAR your precious parking area again. If anyone out there is looking for an EXCELLENT vet, go to Frontier Village Veterinary Clinic in Lake Stevens or Seattle Veterinary Specialists (SVS) in Kirkland. I cannot say these people are bad, or their service is bad. What I do want people to know is that we moved here from the Midwest, and we've never had an issue with either of our 4 yo or 5 yo dogs. We take our youngest in to update her vaccines. 8 days later I noticed she started to develop a hack. On the 10th day, my wife and I just spent the entire night with our dog - she has the most aggressive form of kennel cough I've ever seen. Such a sad thing to watch while you dog struggles for breath. My dogs have not been around dogs since we've moved out 5 months ago. I'm 100% convinced this was brought on by the vaccine. The vets here seem knowledgeable but push very expensive un-needed tests (yes I know my dog is old I don't need a test to confirm she will have health problems later in life). The office staff is mixed some are nice others are terrible . Ive taken all my dogs here but always felt the prices were a bit high. I started checking around after receiving the last list of medications and found one was not even a prescription medication and I was going to be charged almost double the cost of what Petco sold it for. I don't mind paying a bit more for some stuff but charging almost double and trying to pass it off as a prescription medication is wrong. When I called around to other vets their prices for the meds were all less and by a fairly large percentage. I wish I didn't wait so many years to find out I was being overcharged. read more

I would put ZERO stars but that's not an option!!!!Brought our dog in cause he has been dealing with ear issues for a while and had ran out of his medication from his last vet. Found this place local, made an appointment for a usual checkup with vaccinations, one of which was the nasal version for kennel cough which they gave him without asking me. He isn't around other dogs, I wouldn't have okayed it. They gave him a clean bill of health including his ears. He has never been sick before but that night he started to cough. His cough got worse daily. I called and asked them concerned and they said it should go away. Then the following morning 4am he was so bad he was gagging, I called into work. Waited till 7am until they opened and called but they couldn't get him in till 11am. After $1,286.58 worth of tests on top of the $120.10 for the "checkup", they told me that he had pneumonia and needed to take a bunch of medication. I paid them and followed directions and thankfully he is doing better. A week later they called and said it wasn't from the vaccination pure the cutler. So your stuck with the bill basically. Beware of this place, I really don't think I should have to pay when they made him sick. Vaccine or not, he was perfectly healthy when I walked him in there. Best part we just compared what they charged us for his meds to petmeds.com and they over charged us $160 in meds alone. read more

I've been taking all my animals there for about 2 years. Doctor Hoffman is very "old school" with his practice and that's what I love about him. He's very thorough and doesn't over prescribe just for the sake of it. Previously before going there, my vet used to push all these medications and testing on my dog (hundreds of dollars later) soon to find out she really didn't need any of it. I'm torn...the staff is friendly enough, but didn't tell me that my dog would need to skip his pill in the morning to do blood work, so I had to come back...they were kind enough to offer a Saturday appointment, because I have to take time off to bring my dogs in...however, for a simple blood test the bill was $185...ridiculous....I don't even spend that much on mine. I'm willing to bet I will have to do this frequently so that they can "check his levels". I will be looking for a more reasonably priced clinic soon. read more

They are rude and condescending every single time. The male doctor is great and so friendly with clear explanations but the female dr is hit and miss and sometimes herself has a rushed attitude which is probably why the frontline is so bad. Being rudely spoken to makes me feel like my business isn't respected or important enough to be civilized when handling an important transaction for your dog. I called to try getting in for a somewhat emergency and was told blandly, "looks like I'm full today but I have something tomorrow. Good luck" are you kidding! I've taken my dogs a couple times and after my last appointment I will no longer be going there. I just didn't like how the vet treated my dogs. I felt more like he was dominant over creatures rather then love them. I don't know if that makes sense, but I'm looking for more of a vet that loves their job and animals. Also, they were given worm medicine even though I never have my permission and was charged extra money for it! Did not like them sneaking extra costs. And lastly, every time I went in they constantly told me my dog was overweight. Yes, she's old. Yes, I've limited her food. Yes, I know! We didn't have a vet for surgery situations as we've always just had shots and spaying done in Everett at the clinic by the freeway. We needed a vet and found this one online. Our daughters cat had not been eating or drinking and so we took him into see Dr Franklin Vincenzi. Dr Vincenzi was very knowledgeable and ran tests as needed instead of running everything at once. Our bill was around $400 for everything he did instead of the $900 it could've been if he'd just did everything we talked about. When the blood work came back and we realized there was nothing we could do, he made sure our daughter had the time she needed to say goodbye to her cat. In fact our daughter had sent her cat in with her blanket and when we came to see him the cat had the blanket over him. He let my daughter hold her cat, gave us time to say goodbye and then let her hold the cat as he put it to sleep. This gave her the closure she needed. Putting an animal down is the toughest decision but he made it better. He actually cared about us and my daughters feelings and helped her. Thank you cascade vet. Never again. I asked 2 different people working there if , when I had to put my dog down, would he yelp in pain from the injection? They reassured me that the dog would not feel any pain from the injection. Well, the time came, and I had to have my dog put down, and instead of the last moment of his life feeling love, he yelped in pain from the burning of the injection that they gave him. I was so distraught that I didn't say anything, I could only cry, I was so upset. But when I got home, I called them and the girl tried to say everything she could to cover the doctors butt. I hate this Vet. I've had other bad experiences with them, too. I'll never go there again. I would NOT recommend them. read more

I had been taking my 6 year old lab/retriever mix for the past 4 years. He only ever went there for his yearly vaccinations and check ups as he was very healthy. Recently he was experiencing bloody diarrhea and some small bruises on the inside of his legs. I brought him in for these symptoms. After telling the doctor multiple times that I'm sure my boy didn't get into any rat poison (which can cause internal bleeding) he said "I'll mention this and then step away from the idea that he might have an autoimmune disease" as he didn't find it likely. I was sent away with an antibiotic and probiotic as they thought it was just a tummy problem. A week later he began drinking excessive amounts of water, peeing every couple hours and shaking. I brought him in yet again. It was a Friday and they didn't have many answers on what could be causing these symptoms...as it could be a lot of things. I had done some research and thought it could be diabetes or kidney disease (his mom passed of this). We moved forward with blood work and they told me that it could take up to 1 week to receive results. Later that night he had a bad shaking episode and they were able to call him in a muscle relaxer. I asked if they had ANY results back yet as we were very anxious and nervous for any results as our boy was struggling. She advised that his liver and kidney were ok and he wasn't diabetic. She advised his platelet count was low and his white blood cells were high which meant he was fighting inflammation or infection (WHY didn't they call since they had some results?!?) They didn't give me ANYTHING for him at this point (even though they confirmed infection/inflammation) as they said they had to wait for the rest of the results (I was confused since we knew he had an infection...but they weren't going to do any treatment yet). The next day he declined, stopped eating, wouldn't get up, shaking uncontrollably and drooling. We rushed him to an Emergency Vet since Cascade had shrugged us off. While on our way to the Emergency Vet, I called Cascade to have all his records faxed over immediately as we were on our way and unsure if he would make it. The response I got from the receptionist was "well I'm by myself so I'll fax them soon". I asked at that time if they had any more results. She advised "I have them in front of me but I can't read them to you because the doctor has to review them". I asked she get the doctor on the phone as our boy was declining quickly. She showed no sympathy or rush to assist me at all. Dr. Hoffman came on to advise that yes they had received more blood work back and turns out our boy couldn't clot his own blood which can cause internal bleeding. Excuse me --- but why didn't you call me sooner with these results?! And it turns out he DOES have an auto immune disease like you mentioned 2 weeks ago (but didn't think to do any testing on the first time he was in). After getting to the Emergency Vet, our boy had to stay there as his platelets were so low (he was diagnosed with a disease where his body destroys his own blood platelets). We got a call the following day that our boy had bled into his brain and we needed to put him down. This was devastating as he was only 6 years old. Had Cascade Vet done testing 2 weeks prior when I brought him in and Dr. Hoffman suggested a possible auto immune disease, our boy might still be here today. I am devastated with the results of our situation. I am mad that we weren't important enough to test on the first time we came in. I'm mad thinking that we could have saved our boy had Cascade Vet done their job and duty to their patients. DO NOT GO THIS CLINIC. They are unable to get results back in a timely manner which played a part in my boy not getting the care he needed in time to save his life. They seemed so unconcerned with my boy and really just seem to want their money. There is 1 nice receptionist, but the other seemed not to care. Made an appointment to have Xrays taken, but the staff up front forgot to tell me NOT to feed my dog prior to Xrays. I brought my dog in with a full stomach, so you couldn't see his ribs in the Xrays. Did they offer to take another set? NOPE. The Xrays came back "Inconclusive". So, I took the Xrays to another vet for a second opinion. Second opinion was to have another set of Xrays taken with an EMPTY STOMACH ! I want my money back. Will they give it to me? NOPE. I do not like this place and will never go back again ! Here is why ... I had been taking my dog to a different Vet near Smokey Point for a couple of years and the Vet I liked decided to retire (good for her). So, I thought I'd give them a try. The service is run like a Automotive Tire store chain. You are greeted by a receptionist, that ask's what your bringing your pet in for , then once you're in the examine-room a different nurse-type person comes in and asks the same questions again, finally the Vet comes in and asks a 3rd time why you're there (Geez !), how many times do we need to go over this. I explained my 8-year-old Chesapeake Bay Retriever has some sort of skin issue, constant itching, raw spots, sore ears, and a tender pad on his right front foot, that causes him to limp at times. Soooo, the Vet looks at his pad and says: "Yup, its inflamed" DUH ! then he looks at the skin on his back and says: "Yup, he has a dandruff, I guess you could bathe me every couple of weeks and see if that helps. Then he looks in his ears and says: "Yup, he has an ear infection" After all that he says he wants to do a blood test, pee test, put medicine in his ears, and give him a allergy shot. Then he walk out of the room and says: "The assistant will be in to go over things with you" She presents me with a $1100.00 treatment plan. I was upset because the Vet never addressed the skin and foot issue. Also Cascade called my previous Vet to verify Dexters shot record, they verified he had a Rabies shot one year ago and wanted to give him another. I was like Whoa ... they're good for 3-years ... whats up with that ? Anyway, instead of addressing my dog's foot and skin issues I felt like they wanted to milk me for as much money as they could. Hence; I ended up having them put medicine in his ears, which did clear up the issue. I also agreed to a allergy shot, which did no good. All in all I still spent $300.00 for which I felt was a waste of time and money. If I could give ZERO stars I would :( read more
