I went to Kindness Animal Clinic because I needed a USDA certified vet to complete a health certificate for my dog for international travel and electronically submit for endorsement. I'm staying because this is the among the best service I've received from ANY organization, not just veterinarians. They really went above and beyond and I cannot be more grateful. My international trip was all the more better for the decreased stress I had regarding travel with my servive dog. They are incredible. You owe it to yourself, your pet, and your service animal to have the very best care. And this is where you'll get it. I called into Kindness Animal Clinic, in tears, on Wednesday morning looking to make an appointment for my 3 year old Pitbull/Staffordshire mix who I believed had an ear infection. It was clear that my dog was uncomfortable because I had to stay up with him the night prior. I want to put a strong emphasis on the fact that my dog is not, by any means, aggressive. He has such a big loving personality and is easily one of the sweetest dogs and anyone that knows him would agree without any hesitation. I was thrilled that they had an appointment available and during the booking process, I made sure to let them know that my dog is easily frightened and doesn't love having his ears or paws touched. Now, I understand that because the concern was the ear that it would mean that the vet would eventually need to touch his ears but, my hopes in giving them this information was that they would use it and practice some patience with my dog, unfortunately, this was not the case. While approaching the establishment staff opened the door to greet and welcome us in and quickly got my dog onto the scale and into the closet sized room to wait for the vet. When the vet and owner Dr. Bruce Garver did decide to come in for the exam, he came in with two ladies with leashes and treats. The ladies offered my dog treats and Dr. Garver thought it best to use these first moments to reach for my dog's ear. My dog was instantly scared and went into defensive mode and began barking (I completely understand how this could be scary for anyone, I know that Pitbulls are a widely feared breed and I'm not at all mad at Dr. Garver for being scared by my dog going into defense but I am appalled at his word choice and the fact that there was in no way any attempt to deescalate the situation). Dr. Garver instantly jumped up and backed himself into a corner in the room and yelled for me to "get that son-of-a-bitch out of here" then proceeded to tell me that he could prescribe a sedative for my dog and I could bring him back at a later date. That option was voided when he yelled out that he refused to help my dog. I damn near ran out of this place not only embarrassed but also devastated at the fact that a vet could be so awful to a SCARED dog, regardless of the breed. I got my dog settled into the vehicle and went back in to let the staff know what I thought of the way the entire situation was handled (I feel like I need to say here that I am not typically the one to complain to anyone in a customer facing role, I won't even send my food back at a restaurant when my order is incorrectly made). It was during this time that a female staff member took it upon herself to ask me to lower my voice because I was "scaring another patient", considering the fact that the vet had ZERO patience with my dog and took none of the before provided information into consideration when attempting to examine my dog, I wasn't too worried about how they felt. I am still in complete shock at the lack of professionalism and empathy from the staff here and will be sure to never return or send any business their way. I strongly urge anyone that has a dog that is even mildly frightened of the vet to find another place to bring their fur babies! read more

Prices are reasonable, they always have an estimate ready for everything the animals are due for when we arrive. Service is friendly and compassionate for all of our fur babies. Updating - My experience at Kindness was originally AMAZING, but then I got a rescue cat from a backyard breeder in our neighborhood who was getting rid of their 'mixed kittens' and I purchased her from them to get her off the streets (we live by Coyotes and I didnt want her to be another outside cat that got eaten ) I explained that to them but they refuse to see her unless I get a full bill of sale for her? My friend bought his dog from a puppy mill on Craiglist and didnt require a 'bill of sale' for his puppy? So I just can't get my kitten in unless I get a title for her? Very frustrating.. Switched vets entirely with all my animals, my BF's animals and my friends with the CL puppy, cant believe they wouldnt even see my kitten without a 'bill of sale'. read more

We adopted a 1 year old cat from Purrfect Pals. With the adoption we received a voucher for a free vet exam. Kindness Animal Clinic was not on the list of clinics that accepted the coupons but when I called them to ask, they said they would honor the voucher anyway. The front desk staff was great... friendly and happy! When I took Scarlett in we were seen right away. They took thier time with her and told me what vaccinations needed updating and the estimated costs. I never felt pressured to do everything immediately and I actually thought everything I was quoted sounded very reasonable. The assistant and the vet were calm, caring and very tender towards her. They basically handled her the way I would have. BONUS: We had to go out of town over this last weekend and needed to find boarding for Scarlett. I called Kindness and not only do they board her but they would play with her, weigh her and let her out to socialize with other cats that may be there. The cost from Thursday morning until Monday afternoon was only $66.00. I was expecting it to be much more. But... even though I am very impressed with them, I still can't wait to pick her up from the clinic on my way home tonight! read more

Dr. Garver is a very smart, competent vet and responsive to questions/concerns. The clinic is always spotless and the staff are nice and helpful. What I really like about this clinic is that it does feel like a medical clinic. I am SO grateful for trying out this Vet clinic after we moved to Monroe. The staff and the Dr. have been SO great. They are always very friendly and show genuine care for your pets. My English Bulldog has a list a mile long of health issues (yes, I was warned). I have spent thousands on trying to treat him for his reoccurring issues. Dr. Garver and his team are absolutely amazing! Not only are they compassionate and caring, but they also understand that our dogs are part of our family and not just pets. They always take the time and listen to our concerns, recommend the approaches/treatments possible, and provide detailed information regarding options and the costs/effects of each solution. Additionally, the team goes above and beyond when it comes to scheduling appointments and emergencies. We have never had to wait long to see Dr. Garver and when our time comes, it does not feel rushed. He spends adequate time examining our dogs and resolving any issues. I feel fortunate to have such a caring and skilled veterinarian in our area. I also appreciate the care his front and back office staff provide - they are always cheerful and welcoming. And, as someone with a busy schedule, I find the texts, calls, and emails his staff sends to remind us to schedule appointments for follow up care and to confirm upcoming visits very helpful! read more

I've worked at a vet hospital before so I kind of know how they work behind the scenes and what kind of training goes on and the people at this place are obviously not trained very well. I made an appointment for my 16 week old puppy and explained to them that he has been traumatized by someone at the last vet and he would be a little scared and they said that it was no big deal. We took half a day off work for this appointment and a little bit after dropping off my puppy I get a call saying that he's too scared and they can't deal with a scared puppy apparently. He's 16 weeks and from my experience working at a vet it is so common for us to have scared dogs come in, whether it's a rescue dog or a young scared puppy, you're supposed to be trained to deal with it. I've worked with MANY scared dogs and I can't imagine turning away a puppy because it's scared. I showed up to get him and nobody answered my calls or came out for about 15 minutes yet I could see at least 3 people inside just chatting. Who has watching my puppy during that time? Most likely nobody. If he was so scared why keep him for an extra 15 minutes? They ended up charging us $40 for sedatives for future appointments and they didn't even work and haven't even been approved for dogs! So we missed half a day of work for nothing, got charged $40 and they just threw out his fecal sample instead of testing it which should be the least they can do. There's much better vet offices out there, the people here are right on the line of incompetence when it comes to dealing with dogs. read more

Great place. I have been taking my dog here for about 5 months now. They are very knowledgeable and take a really good care of my dog. They call you and check on your pet very often after every visit to make sure your pet is feeling better. You can also send them pics and videos if you have any concern. Kindess Animal Clinic is a bit of a drive, about 25 minutes for me, but SO worth it. The vet has been accredited with the American Animal Hospital Association for over 25 years, and the vet is the nicest guy. My dog still gets into things he's not supposed to, and if he sees me too many times in a month, he won't charge me for re-checks on his status. Not only that, but the vet techs are so wonderful to my dog that he doesn't even notice if he gets poked with a needle. I've heard people say he's overpriced, but to be completely honest, he isn't. He knows exactly what's wrong with your dog and all the possible outcomes, so you don't have to spend tons of money on random treatments that are trying to take a stab at a problem. 10/10 would recommend. read more
