I recently brought my cat to cascade vet to be treated for sores in his mouth. I week later and a thousand dollar vet bill, our cat still has the sores and cannot eat. We are on social security and that thousand dollar bill is a huge deal to our income. We didn't care, we wanted our cat healed. Now we can't even afford to put him down, he is dying of starvation because Cascade didn't find the cause. They suggested all these expensive tests which we gladly did hoping to fix our cat, but the tests were all negative and they suggested it was caused by an infection. They told us they gave our cat anti biotics, but when I looked at the bill it wasn't listed. Cascade used to be a reliable, affordable service. we had used their service for years , but something has changed. Beware of using them, they are ridiculously expensive, not very compassionate and certainly not good at diagnosing disease. They want your money, don't really care about you or your pet. I think they should be investigated. read more

We had an extremely disappointing and upsetting experience with Cascade Veterinary Clinic in Wenatchee. We were charged over $1,800 for our dog's care, despite being told beforehand that the neuter procedure would be free. When we questioned the charges, they denied ever saying that which was frustrating and felt misleading. After the surgery, our dog needed additional attention and had to be brought back in. What they described as a "band-aid fix" was never clearly explained to us, leaving us confused and concerned about what was actually being done. Even more troubling, the fix didn't hold the first time or 3rd our dog had the same issue again while still on the table at the clinic. Sadly, the root of the problem was not ever discovered. and sadly, the bill for the so-called band aid fix was the same amount as the first surgery, stitches and neuter. The staff is rude including the receptionist. they seem more concerned about the bill than the animals honestly. When they returned our dog to us, he was extremely out of it to the point that it was alarming. We had to carry him to the car, and the same issue happened again on the way home. The entire situation felt rushed, poorly communicated, and deeply unsettling. Sadly, our dog is no longer with us, and we are left with a lot of grief and disappointment--not just from the loss, but from the way everything was handled. After a bill of over $1800.00 we would expect some resolution instead we lost our dog and left with more expenses. we loved him so much.  We expected transparency, care, and professionalism during a difficult time, and we did not receive that. They've always been so caring for all of my animals I've ever brought into the clinic. The prices may be a bit more expensive, (but there's other vets in the valley who are more costly just for a standard exam..) but they always use estimates to show costs of services before doing anything. Honestly you get what you pay for though because they do very thorough care and it's obvious how much the staff love animals. I wouldn't ever take my pets anywhere else because they treat them like family. read more

We took our dog in on a Saturday, didn't feel our issue was worth a 2 day wait. Turned into a minor fix - because we didn't wait. From our call to make an appointment to the final bill pay everyone was kind and professional. They nailed the diagnosis within - 2 minutes! Dr Warmhoven (not sure of spelling) had that darn cheat grass out of her ear in a jiffy and we were on our way home! Definitely recommend. Pricing was not alarming at all. Took our cat this weekend that was really sick with vomiting and was so lethargic, we thought he really wasn't going to make it. We took him in on a Saturday, they didn't even give him IV fluids, just some antibiotics, and anti nausea medication. They wanted $1300 just to look at him and do some blood work. Honestly they're all about money, they don't care about your pet. They shouldn't be in the business of taking care of living beings, if all they care about is money. If you're looking for someone who really cares about your animal go to Dr. Duke, he is amazing it's honestly about the well being of your pet NOT the money. If you go to Dr. Duke you'll see how a vet is supposed to be, amazing and caring. read more

Cascade never disclosed amount I would need to pay prior to visit. Vet spent 5 minutes asking me questions about my dogs food habits never examined my sick dog. Charged an enormous amount. I ask many times before appt. what I would be charged but they kept saying they would tell me when I got there. THEY DID NOT TELL ME WHAT I WOULD BE CHARGED even though I asked. This is the treatment I got after spending $800 a couple of months prior with them to have a couple animals spayed (feral rescued). Then, instead of sending an email to ask me how my dog was doing they thought it would be funny to send an email wishing a HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my dog. Because he was rescued I didn't have an exact Birthday for him. This bothered them much lol. Apparently they have no idea how many millions of animals are suffering in our community, US and world wide, this was a huge issue to them I didn't have an exact bday. We have been with Cascade for several years now and have never had any real issues. They have always been friendly. What prompts this review though is recent activity. 6 weeks ago we laid our family cat Marshmellow to rest due to old age and last week had to lay our family dog Theo to rest due to an aggressive cancer that was discovered just 2 weeks sooner. They staff was very kind and supportive during each instance allowing us all the time needed before and after to say our goodbyes. Shortly after each instance we received a card from them in the mail with paw prints and a note which made me well up once again. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. took my dog in and he was diagnosed with parvo AND cancer??? no. months go by with a perfectly healthy pup who was only a year old. he ran off and FORSURE was hit and when i took him back to them they did and xray and sent me out the door and told me they couldn't do anything for him other then put him on pain meds till he died. i found a different vet to come to the house and put him down after about two weeks of seeing his legs deteriorate. she was blown away. to her, after a physical examination, he looked non other then a dog who was hit not a dog with lymphoma cancer. they didn't even aspirate his lymph nodes. 3 k down the fkn toilet and a dead puppy who was my best friend. they should all have their fkn licenses revoked. if no stars was an option that's what i would've chose. read more

We had to put our sweet Taco (16) yrs old to sleep last August 2022 and today we had to put our sweet kitty Boo (17) yrs old to sleep. The staff were all so sweet and compassionate. At the Wenatchee location they are incompetent and will put your pet at risk to make money. We took our 8 year old small breed dog in due to issues with limping on his back left leg. At the initial visit they said we needed to schedule a follow-up with an Orthopedic specialist. We did and came back a few weeks later to find that there is no specialist. We saw another "general" vet with the only outcome being we paid them a bunch more money to hear the same thing. At the second visit after paying hundreds of dollars for a battery of additional tests they told us that our dog needed surgery to correct an ACL tear. We scheduled the surgery and thankfully we were able to schedule it at the Leavenworth location. The Leavenworth location is different doctors (Cascade bought out the Leavenworth location a few years ago). My 1 star review is for dealing with Wenatchee. My experience with the doctors at the Leavenworth location has been positive. The day of the surgery came and we took our dog into the Leavenworth location. After dropping our dog off we got a call a few hours later saying that the surgery had been unnecessary as our dog's ACL was fine and the issue was arthritis. By following the advice of the veterinarians at the Wenatchee location we spent over $1,500 to put our dog through a completely unnecessary surgery that he then took weeks to recover from. In following up after I learned that all of the information to see that this wasn't an ACL tear was there in the tests that were ran. The Wenatchee doctors either didn't take the time or didn't have the skill to understand what they were looking at. Our experience with Wenatchee is their only priority is getting you to book additional visits and schedule additional tests and procedures. They lie about their skills (i.e. seeing an "Orthopedic specialist") and are happy to cut your dog open if it pockets them thousands of your dollars with no regard to the health and safety of your beloved pet. read more

Called yesterday to get an appointment for my bulldog for acupuncture and laser therapy. The girl said she had to talk with the doctor that does it and put me on hold for 10 minutes. She came back and said the doctor would do it. Scheduled me for a 11 am appt the next day. She called me 20 minutes before the appointment, despite knowing I live an hour away in ellensburg. She said she left a message earlier this am, which she didn't because I didn't get it and she obviously has my number. She told me screwed up and didn't know if the dr could do it. My mom was already on her way and I couldn't get a hold of her. When she got there they basically called her a liar despite having phone records and email records of our conversation. Furthermore, the doctor said that she didn't think the treatment was appropriate despite the board certified neurologists at WSU recommending it. If they are this dishonest and terrible at the easy stuff I certainly wouldn't recommend having my dog treated there! read more

I contacted cascade vet concerning my dog needing a life saving operation. Told them the specific of what he needed. The receptionist ask the surgeon if they do that type of operation, he said yes. I booked an appointment to get him in as soon as I could. That was still 2 weeks out even though it was an emergency situation. A week befor the appointment they call and say they can't do the surgery. That's fine because I was going to call and cancel that same day, thankfully I took another vets advise and took him to w.s.u vet hospital in Pullman. The problem is if I haven't done that and waited for cascade vet, my dog would have died by the time I could reschedule with another surgeon. Very unprofessional in my opinion. Don't lead someone on when you can't do the job. read more

Our 8 year old Golden Retriever had a cancerous tumor removed in July and while we were out camping in Wenatchee, he suddenly seemed off. CVC got us right in and determined that he was bleeding internally. While we expected this might happen, we were shocked when it did and both the staff and Dr. Gibson were so very kind and compassionate to us and our dog. They were thorough in their diagnostics and helped us understand the gravity of our dog's prognosis. They gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye and helped make a very difficult time less painful. Their prices were very fair and everyone from the front office staff to the techs who attended to our dog were so caring. Thank you. read more

This clinic is the best, I was visiting Wenatchee over the weekend from Seattle and my dog had an emergency, we drove here (the only place we could find that was open) and the respect and loving care we got was amazing. Fantastic staff! They're very attentive to their patients and their owners needs. While unfortunately my dog died here (not their fault, she was very sick) I will always remember the love and kindness that was shown to me in a difficult time. I was too shaken to catch any names but if I could remember any of them I would thank them. *update* got a card in the mail from them a couple weeks later. It was a sympathy card but the best part was they had stamped her paw on a pice of paper and sent it with the card. Made me cry when I received it. read more

This is the best veterinary clinic I've ever been to! Every one of the doctors are excellent and very talented. We see Dr Johnson, but they are all great. They spend quality time with you and your pet at each appointment. My pets have been treated here for a wide variety of issues, and I've had a great experience every time. From regular exam check ups to knee surgery on both my lab and Yorkshire terrier. I live in Issaquah and I choose to drive 2 hours to visit this clinic for my dogs. I could not recommend this place and the doctors here enough. read more

I know that there seems to be a lot of average or negative reviews of Cascade Veterinary. But, my dog and I absolutely love the services they offer here. When your dog is happy to come to the vet office, you know something is going right there! The doctors really do seem to care about my pet and they absolutely adore her. They are very friendly and they know how to handle my pet without making them feel scared or anxious. I've seen two different vets here, and both of them were great. Mostly, I use Cascade Vet for their boarding services. Their boarding fees are cheaper than the surrounding boarding options. Plus, my dog loves coming to the office. She never feels sad or anxious when I leave her here. From what all the employees tell me about her, they all seem to love my doggy. In my experience, I have never had any problems with Cascada Vet. Recently, I've had to move out of the Wenatchee area, and Cascade Vet is one of the things I'll most miss about Wenatchee. read more

I was very disappointed in the service that Cascade Veterinary Clinic provided this past November. When we arrived, we were one of 4 cars. They took our cat who had been vomiting and indicated they would phone us. After 90 minutes we phoned them. They indicated they would have some idea of what was wrong soon. We learned that the x-ray nor the labs indicated that there was anything obvious, they offered to keep our cat over night and do more tests, for a substantial amount of $$. After 4 plus hours we got our cat with some anti nausea medication and a very brief report. Fast forward a couple of days and our cat was still vomiting and loosing weight. We contacted another vet and after a very brief examination they knew exactly what was wrong. The second bill was $320.00 less than CVC, faster service, great car side report and follow up to assure that our cat was doing better. Yes, sadly CVC is the only clinic in the area open on a weekend and I am only giving you our experience. However, be prepared for a long wait, large bill and possibly no clear answers. read more

We are extremely upset by the attitudes and uncommunicative behavior we encountered at Cascade Veterinary Clinic in Wenatchee. Our dog Lucy was scheduled to be spayed first thing in the morning and we showed up, early, at 7:00 a.m. Employees were arriving at the clinic as we waited outside the entrance for them to open. No one showed the slightest interest, or took the initiative to let us know they weren't opening until 7:30 a.m. On a hunch we checked the email they had sent us confirming our appointment; it said our appointment was rescheduled to 1:50 p.m. not as instructed verbally in the morning . This really confused us and I called the clinic to ask them to clarify. Their telephone system will not allow you to speak to a receptionist; you have to leave a message with their promise to call back ASAP. They did not return our call and we returned to the clinic at 1:50 p.m. as per the email instruction. The receptionist said we were supposed to have showed up at 7:30 a.m. When my wife mentioned the email instructions she was blown off with a brusque, "Oh, our emails are wrong." Dr. Eichler, with whom we had established a favorable relationship when she euthanized our elderly cat earlier this year, said she would not allow us to leave Lucy and we must reschedule. We felt shabbily and unprofessionally treated by Cascade Vet; their behavior reeked of indifference - no apologies, no accommodation. The appointment was originally scheduled to allow me to leave the next day for a medical procedure in Seattle and, by providing boarding for Lucy, relieve my wife of the necessity of managing a boisterous post surgical dog as she - my wife - recovered from a leg injury. This business needs to get its act together. read more

My family has always taken our pets to Cascade (30 years-ish), but the last few times were not good. We had a terrible visit when we brought our cat in ill - the vet we had was rude, not kind or compassionate in the least and acted as if we had done something wrong - not only was it insulting, he was dead wrong and it didn't help allay any of our fears in what the outcome of our cats condition would be or instill confidence in the care our kitty would receive. It was an awful experience and I have never been back. My parents boarded their senior dog (Cascade was her vet for her entire life) there when they went on a trip for a couple weeks and I was supposed to pick her up. When I went there to pick her up, I waited for about 15 minutes for them to bring her out and when they did, they didn't have her medications. I asked about the meds and waited around another 10 minutes and still ended up leaving without her meds because they couldn't find them - no offer to give spare meds until they located hers. I called again the next day and they had found them. Again, not a great experience and doesn't instill a ton of confidence in the care your pet is getting. The only reason I gave two stars, is because Dr. Womack and Dr. Hambleton are awesome, if you are able to see them. read more

In my experience this group of clinics have extremely unprofessional staff. They may have good veterinarians but good luck getting in to see them when your pet has an emergency. I have had multiple bad experiences here, when my animals are in dire need of care. If you can make an appointment for regular care, great, but if you have an emergency I recommend calling a different vet. read more

My experience started with my 2 yr old (28 lb) dog getting hit by a car on a Saturday afternoon. Cascade Vet Clinic is the only game in town for emergencies on a Saturday. They took him to a room, gave him something for pain, took an x-ray, and then after seeing the severity of his injuries, I decided to have him put down. For that, I was charged $466. Then to add insult to injury, I was told my dog's cremated remains from the crematorium would be an additional $130. My heart is sad to have lost my Buddy, but I'm also disappointed in the extreme charges for a half hour visit. Not sure what I'll do next time if a pet is injured on a weekend. read more
