I have used cascade veterinary for approximately 10 years for both dogs and cats. Each time I have used them has been a good visit whether it was for a basic exam, a kitty with a cold or a doggy who turned out to be extremely ill. We just moved to town and my sweet Cavalier was desperate for some dental work. After comparing prices, Cascade Veterinary Clinics seemed the best choice with its comparable prices and location. Dr. Justin Miller was the KINDEST vet we've ever gone to. She took her time to thoroughly exam Sedona and even discovered a heart murmur that other vets missed. We left the appointment with a plan and a deep gratitude for this wonderful business. We will be going exclusively to this clinic from now on! read more

They do not deserve the 1 star I had to give to post this. OurPomeranian was viciously attacked by a huge dog at our campsite nearby and was in need of care immediately. We called the after hours line and they basically told us since we weren't established patients they aren't coming in to save her. They then told us to go to Pullman instead, hours away and completely in the opposite direction of home. If it hadn't been for our friend at the campsite we wouldn't have known that their Cascade Wenatchee clinic is open 7 days a week and got us in no problem which was 30 minutes away. They saved her. So, if you're not a patent of this clinic you better hope your family pet doesn't need help because you won't get it. Shame on them. All the office manager did today on the phone was deflect and make excuses. Telling us that we aren't patients so, tough. They are not in the business of saving lives of any pet, just the ones they already have as patients read more

I would recommend NOT taking your pet to this clinic! My dog was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure 6 months ago. He is on life long medications and will not survive without them. About a week ago I requested a refill on one of his medications, which this office DENIED because of a balance oweing! After several phone calls (over 4 days) they finally agreed to fill it, but I fear it is too late. His lungs are filled with fluid and he is losing consciousness periodically. My dog is suffering and all this clinic cares about is money! UNETHICAL and extremely cruel. To top it off, they will not treat him anymore. ​ read more

We had a dog who came down with auto immune disease, we were managing it quite well but his teeth were affected. We contacted Cascade to see what options we had. The doctor suggested having his teeth removed, but since the doctor didn't bother with reading his chart, it would have killed him because of the meds he was on, and the type of auto immune. we found this out by a second opinion. On another occasion we had a friend who's perfectly healthy dog was put down by Cascade, they say they don't do that, but they did. We will never take our dog to a vet that is too lazy to read a chart or put healthy dogs down!!! read more

Last year we were packing up from a family vacation to head back over the mountains and our old dog got really sick. We knew we were already close to end of life, but it was still really hard to see him take such a drastic turn. Cascade got us in immediately and the staff were all so kind. The vet was extremely caring and in one of our most difficult times, softened the hardship with patience and kindness. They were so much more attentive and caring and kind than our regular vet back in Seattle. We will always be grateful to their whole team. I have been going to this vet clinic for 10 years now and I'm honest disappointed. My dog was bitten and lost part of her ear and the clinic stated they couldn't see me even though they were open for a few more hours. I communicated that I honestly just wanted to get some eyes one her and a prophylactic for the dog bite, but they they said I had to go to Wenatchee. It's just frustrating when I have spent so much money over the years at this clinic and the one time I needed some help they turned me away. I understand I'm not the center of the universe, I just wish they would have considered helping me when I was really concerned and upset. read more

I brought my puppy Frank in yesterday. He cut his paw on a piece of broken glass while playing in the creek, it was a deep cut and sliced halfway through his tendon. Everybody at the clinic was so knowledgeable, friendly, and clear about what needed to be done. The vet quickly went in, repaired his cut tendon, and patched him up. This vet clinic is horrible. Ever time I have gone in, there has been a dog howling in pain from the back. They assure me that the dog is "just waking up from dental work, " or just waking up from a sedated nail clip." The last time I took my dog in, I heard her screaming from the exam room for a nail clipping. They clipped 3 nails, and then automatically recommended sedation. This was never an issue with our previous vet who recently retired. Our dog was scratching at the door and shaking in fear the minute we walked in the door. To me, an animal should not be screaming when waking up from a simple nail clipping sedation. Very unprofessional environment, and they do not seem to care much for your pet. Used this place once while staying out at our cabin. Our dog somehow managed to cut herself (it happens occasionally - she's a crazy dog) and we wanted to get it looked at because she was limping badly. We were afraid it was broken or seriously injured. The vet accommodated us at the last minute, gave her a thorough look over and asked us a lot of questions about what might have happened. They really seemed to care how/why our dog was injured. The price was reasonable too, especially when compared to the west side of the mountains. read more

We were camping outside of Leavenworth on July 2. My dogs waded in some water, and as they were wading I saw a sign warning of toxic algae (for those who don't know this can be fatal to dogs). I rushed to cell service and called the clinic, and explained the situation. The person who answered my call said that they had no available appointments that afternoon. I was pretty surprised that they didn't offer to fit me in given that this can be fatal within a very short amount of time. She told me to call another clinic that was an hour away. They did not answer. I called my vet (who was 3 hours away) and they urged me to try again to get in with Bavarian, given the time sensitive nature of the situation. I asked my clinic if they could call on my behalf and they did. While they called I drove to the clinic. I pulled up and a woman came out (I assume a vet tech) and she said the doctor had just left for the day and that she could not help me (they were still open, this was not after their regular open hours). She did not seem sorry that she could not help and did not offer to contact the doctor. She seemed very put out by my presence and did not seem bothered by the fact that my dogs could die if not treated quickly. She told me to go to the Cashmere clinic. I asked if they were still open and she said yes. I googled it and they had already closed for the day. My husband and I ended up having to induce vomiting ourselves for both of our dogs and praying it would work (hydrogen peroxide does not always work which is why it is best to go to a vet for this type of treatment as they have other means available). I am shocked and appalled by the lack of compassion from the person I interacted with. If you are visiting the area with your pets please make sure you have a back up plan in case of emergency as they may turn you away like they did to me. read more

I have taken all of my pets to BVV when they need help, sometimes and emergency. My pup when she was very young got stung and her whole face swelled in minutes so that her nose was blocked. I rushed her in and immediately the staff put her on O2, gave her benadryl and other drugs to keep her breathing and alert! That was a year ago and since then I have come in with Piper for issues and have always felt she was well taken care of. read more

A great office staff and Dr. Hambleton was really helpful in terms of giving us an option to avoid putting down our dog who has a severe anxiety disorder. He was very open and listened to all of our concerns and then offered some solutions that he said may or may not work. We chose to give them a chance and we are really impressed with the response we've seen so far. He has a great temperament, a gentle manner with our dog and us. Since Cascade Veterinary Clinic took over Bavarian Village Veterinary, I will no longer take my pets there. It is sad. I really liked Dr. Zach Hambilton but Cascade has increased the prices so much from when Kathy Archibald owned it. read more

Our family dog of around 14 years was taken here for a regular dental cleaning. The staff put a choke/slip leash on him, put him in a cage, and then attached the other end of the leash to the outside of the cage. They left him unattended for long periods of time, upwards of 20 mins, in which time he strangled himself to death. Completely negligent, its common sense that you wouldn't leave a dog alone attached to a noose. read more

The staff at his office are very accommodating for our busy schedule and I have also referred people from out of town to them when they have had emergencies while visiting Leavenworth and they have been very grateful to have him available.
