For people searching for the right way to say goodbye, I can't give enough praise for Peaceful Transitions. Dr. Colleen gave us time before she began the procedure that meant the world to us. At the end she snuggled him into soft blankets, and gently put him in her car, leaving his head out for us to pet. It's a kindness when big dogs, instead of contracting a painful illness experience hip failure. Meds kept Roger active and pain free for a year. He felt like Super Dog, but at the end when the meds wore off it was evident that it was time to let him go. On his last day he took a long walk in the park by our house. In his last minutes he was surrounded by loving, petting hands, including those of Dr. Colleen.

My GSD was known to have behaviors such as fear aggression and separation anxiety but their staff made him feel very welcome. I brought him in muzzled the first time to meet the place as I feared he would bit the staff, however, they requested I didn't muzzle him on his first time staying. To my surprise, not only did he not bite any of the staff, but he would also let himself be pet by all the care takers and play with them. I'm truly thankful for these guys.

The reviews were so glowing that I was skeptical. Nonetheless, we called him and he was very receptive. He saw and treated our Italian Greyhound the same day, after hours! We've since adopted a terrier mix from the local shelter and Dr. Duke has scheduled her vaccinations promptly. His clinic is a separate building on a property where other animals are corralled in his care. He is obviously the 'real deal' in veterinary medicine--reminds us of James Herriot caring for "All Creatures Great and Small". His charges are the best we've found currently in the area, but that's not the priority. The interest and care he has shown our animals is the most important, and he has won our confidence.

I recently brought my cat to cascade vet to be treated for sores in his mouth. I week later and a…read morethousand dollar vet bill, our cat still has the sores and cannot eat. We are on social security and that thousand dollar bill is a huge deal to our income. We didn't care, we wanted our cat healed. Now we can't even afford to put him down, he is dying of starvation because Cascade didn't find the cause. They suggested all these expensive tests which we gladly did hoping to fix our cat, but the tests were all negative and they suggested it was caused by an infection. They told us they gave our cat anti biotics, but when I looked at the bill it wasn't listed. Cascade used to be a reliable, affordable service. we had used their service for years , but something has changed. Beware of using them, they are ridiculously expensive, not very compassionate and certainly not good at diagnosing disease. They want your money, don't really care about you or your pet. I think they should be investigated.

Dr Shawna Bais has been so calm and reassuring when I'm feeling worried or stressed about something wrong with my pet. I actually heard a story from a friend about how he and his wife had taken their cat to several vets in town and felt they were all dismissive until they came here and Shawna was the first vet that listened and cared and helped them with the cat. I had to smile when they told me the story because I felt the same way when I came here. She heard me. She cared. And she has taken wonderful care of my puppy. Tonight was really the moment that solidified all this for me. Long story short, I emailed and called after hours. Late at night. On a weekend. And guess who looked at my emailed pictures and called me back? I could have cried in gratitude. I asked how much it would be and he didn't know because there's additional charges but that there was a waiting list. I said that I was ok with being placed in a waiting list, I asked that what was an approximate time for my cat to get looked at and he couldn't give me a time frame either, that he didn't know. I asked when it was a good time to spay my cat and he said 6 months. I asked if I were to be placed on the waiting list and got called before my cat was 6 months old if it would affect her.
