I have never had a bad experience when going in for my yearly check up, getting a mouth guard created or for the dental emergency. The staff have always been really pleasant and friendly and even when there was a scheduling mix up, they did their best to accommodate my needs. Dr. Yeh has always been really good about answering any questions I might have about my teeth, procedures and what to expect. I recommend this clinic to people all the time and most of my family have seen Dr. Yeh at one point or another. An extra bonus is that they have clinics in multiple locations (Sherwood Park, Spruce Grove, UofA). We all know going to the dentist isn't exactly a top activity on the fun list but at least the Smiles Dental Group makes it as tolerable and pleasant as possible :)

My entire family now sees him and thinks very highly of him. I had the normal teeth issues- cavities, root canals and crowns and from day one he was truly kind and caring. Very sensitive to if you are in any pain and what is most comfortable for you. Genuine man. He will give you the options for what is available to you and for your problem. the pros and cons and a rough price estimate and most importantly not rush you to make any decision in the moment. I personally had to have quit a bit of work done and he was patient with me and made me very comfortable just taking care of one thing at a time. Another bit of information- My brother was the same, not keen on going to the dentist, had horrible horrible pain and finally he looked like a chipmunk- his infections were SOOO BAD- he made an appointment to see Dr. Scarsellone and never looked back...It was actually scary for awhile because his infection was so bad, he had to go to the hospital for IV antibiotics for a week 3 times a day because regular pills would not help. His gum line was swollen over his actual teeth...but put into the hands of Dr. Scarsellone he was taken care of patiently. Dr. Scarsellone took it one step at a time and made sure he got better and his teeth back under control. My brother now raves about him!!! Most people ask how the dental hygienists are...Again not my favourite thing to do- but I do go and they are very good as well. Sharon has been super to me. The receptionist is wicked- will help you make sure your work and appointments are spaced out correctly so that you can maximize your benefits. I can't say enough about the staff in this office and especially Dr. Scarsellone. Way to go Terrace Heights Dental.

Dr.Hadeel Al-bazzaz was able to keep my son calm and get the x-rays. We just went for our third cavity to get fixed. Before going I asked my son what he thought. He said he's not scared of the dentist. This kid is scared or nervous of almost everything. While we were there I can see why. They are always playing games to distract him. I drove an hour and a half so my son has the best care. I believe it is important to keep giving him positive experience with the dentist. So he isn't nervous like me when it's my turn to go. If I could give this clinic and this doctor more stars I definitely would! I also always get a call to check on the kids after they get a procedure for anything more then a cleaning. To make sure he is comfortable and feeling amazing. I cannot say enough good things about this dental office. My son had seen 2 dentist prior to us coming here. After the procedure, I kept going back because something clearly wasn't right. Instead of addressing the problem, they repeatedly prescribed antibiotics and insisted nothing was wrong. Over time, I saw multiple dentists trying to get answers, but no one wanted to take responsibility or properly investigate. (created a ton of fear) I was essentially passed from one office to another with no resolution. Nearly nine years later, I finally found a dentist who took my concerns seriously and referred me to an endodontist. The specialist confirmed that the original root canal had failed they missed a canal. It had been overfilled, which caused a pocket in my jaw that repeatedly became infected. For years, I was dealing with chronic infections, with my mouth flaring up every month or so, and no one acknowledging the real cause. The dentist who performed the procedure claimed to be a specialist, but based on the outcome, the quality of work was unacceptable. This wasn't just a minor issue--it led to long-term damage and significant health complications. I've dealt with chronic inflammation, recurring infections, and even hospital visits due to blood infections that were never properly traced back to the source at the time. I paid for professional care and trusted this office, and after 4 hours in a chair and thousands later in return, I was left dealing with the consequences of a failed procedure that no one would take responsibility for. It took nearly a decade to finally get a clear diagnosis and validation of what I had been experiencing the entire time.(keep in mind I couldn't live on antibiotics either so no medication to heal it or prevent infection or I'd end up immune to them if I did) I would strongly caution others to seek second opinions and ensure they are getting proper care, because my experience here resulted in years of unnecessary pain and avoidable health issues. Also fun fact for anybody getting work done anywhere,did you know your body suffering with constant inflammation and infection, like from failed dental work, ya it could cause blood sugar issues.... When the doctor finally came, he only looked at my son's teeth for less than a minute and simply said that the teeth were too crooked to fix. That was it -- there are nothing to do. What's worse, they still charged us around $140 for basically doing nothing. I understand consultation fees, but this felt completely unreasonable and unprofessional. We left with no useful information at all. Very disappointing experience -- I would not recommend this clinic to anyone.

Another dentist I had told me in 5 yrs I will need dentures ( I still have all my teeth ). So when I went to this office, I was apprehensive. Long story short... she saved the tooth. Since then she is the only dentist I would ever trust to work on my mouth. Her staff are amazing and take great care with their patients. Her practice has expanded quite a bit but the service is still the same. they tell you straight out and do not recommend any work that does not need to be done. If I could recommend a dentist, it is this practice. And that my friends is the tooth and nothing but the tooth !

Had three bad experiences…read more First. Had a regular check up and cleaning done, everything went well. After we were done I was put into a side room full of merchandise and was trying to be talked into buying a very expensive electric toothbrush. I kept saying I would think about it, after about 5-10 mins trying to push this product in me they finally stopped and took me to pay my bill. Second time I needed a retainer replaced for my front bottom teeth. Thought everything went well till a couple of hours later I started getting a very bad headache. Thought nothing of it. After a couple of day I went back to get the retainer readjusted. Took two separate visits till it was done right, instantly the headaches went away. About a month later the retainer broke off of my tooth and cut my tongue, so I took it out myself and threw it away. My third visit was for a cleaning and check up. All went well till the billing. They put I through and as I was about to leave I checked to see what they charged me for. Two procedures on the bill they didn't do, X-rays and fluoride. I brought this to their attention and I was told, "we'll get you next time". I believe that is insurance fraud, but what ever. Let's just say I found a new dentist in the area. Super happy now.

Jeff in particular was very friendly and helpful and I felt I could trust him to decide on closer examination in the moment of surgery if optional avenues for teeth in that same region also need removing. The advice that I should not get married while recently off the sedation drugs in particular was helpful.
