I would have given this place a better rating if they had a mask policy in place. Since they aren't in Sarasota, they don't have a mask policy here. We stayed because our really great waitress was masked up. I had a delicious wahoo with avocado, tomato, and a cilantro lemon butter sauce. We started with an order of crab cakes (2) so that we could eat reasonably quickly. Always nice when it's made of CRAB and not cracker. These were really good and perfectly cooked. My wife had the Black Cod with lobster cream sauce and some grilled shrimp along for the ride. Nice piece of fish. Not some skimpy little frozen patty. I had the Sword Fish with kalamata olives, artichokes and capers. Really nice sauce that the artichokes and capers went well with. I know I'm supposed to have some pics with it, but I was HUNGRY. Exactly what I had hoped for..lunch with a view/menu simple and fresh/service was top-notch. We had Sunday lunch and got a table right away. Drinks and service were some of the best we've had all season. Grouper was firm fresh and so delicious. Best Yet! I expected normal tourist fare and got local charm and flavor! We went to this bar Sunday afternoon and not one server in the bar area wore masks!! We r regulars to this awesome place, however we didn't feel comfortable with this as they where making drinks and socializing with customer!! Who do they think they are no masks!! My husband and I were recommended to this restaurant while being in Sarasota! The view and atmosphere were desirable. We came to experience one of unforgettable action of kindness in this place! I order the almond crusted which was too greasy for my taste and way undercooked, I had to send it back to the kitchen. My husband had the marinate pasta which was way more tasteful. Some how he always orders the better plates without reading the menu twice like I do. Well there is was this old man that came by our table and asked my husband how was his food. After he left to sit a his table y told my husband that was so nice, usually Americans do not do that. And if one of the things I missed from my native country. End of the story, we finished eating, asked for our check and the waitress comes to tell us that man paid for our bill !!!! Wow so amazing that things like this do still happen !!! Classic old Florida fish restaurant on the water at a marina. Very busy on a Sunday. Pretty open and there is plenty of shade. We come for the beautiful setting and not for the plastic cups, plastic tables, and the uncomfortable plastic chairs. Loved that they brought us real ice tea and a massive picture of it for the both of us. The snapper special with artichokes and capers was very tasty with nicely steamed broccoli and good yellow rice. The fried clam strips's were satisfactory. I almost missed this Gem of a place. I stopped across the street to take a picture of the water and smelled great seafood cooking. I had seen signs for boat rentals etc but did not notice the sign for Casey Key Fish House. My nose led me to a great place. This place is on the docks. It overlooks some great back waters and has great scenic views. It is laid back and decorated with lots of mermaid and fish type art. The service was great. The beer was nice and cold. I had the Mussels in Garlic Butter and they were off the hook fantastic. I wish I was hungrier so I could have ordered more. After walking 5 miles on the Siesta Keys to watch sunset one gets very hungry, apparently (considering long workdays)... And it's not easy to hunt food late at night in Sarasota, which is apparent to me now as well. But, there are always good friends to the rescue - thank you, Jim B, for all suggestions! Casey Key Fish House is just a short drive from Siesta Keys, and it sits literally in the middle of nowhere - at the end of narrow road, by the marina. I forgot how many times I said that marina restaurants are always the best - this one was no exception. All open, with fresh breeze from the water, very casual ambiance - it's a most wonderful find. Beer, fresh seafood, and view of night waters at the marina is all you need to relax after long day. Homemade, simple and rich in flavor, sea bass is a great choice - served with salsa, veggies and mash potatoes. Great place for lunch or dinner - nothing fancy, just good music playing, people laughing, cooks chatting in the kitchen and simply great food - you will feel at home here. No shoes, no shirt, no problem! Well, don't quote me on that but that is definitely the vibe here and I loved it! Nestled in a cove off the inner coastal, this little dive restaurant is a perfect spot to visit during or after a boating day on the water. Some people simply park their boat and set up shop at the beach bar or restaurant. Everyone here is casual and content with simply enjoying the sunshine and water. During our visit, we sat on the restaurant side on the deck overlooking the inner coastal and boat docks. During our meal, we were even visited by two different types of cranes! It was relaxing to look out on the glistening water while enjoying a meal. Food wise, it's seafood all the way of course! I had the fish and chips which were tenderly fried and very generous with fresh white fish. I also stole a bite of my husband's buffalo shrimp which were very unique and had a great kick to them! I would say that this restaurant is all about the ambiance and a great stop if you're boating or simple want to eat on the water. If you can't find me in Arizona, I may have run away to Casey Key Fish House! read more

I didn't eat during this visit. As I remember from the past, this is pretty standard Old Florida. It's the atmosphere we were looking for to enjoy a cold beer on a nice coastal road trip. There is a tiki bar or you can sit in the restaurant or out on the deck. We chose a deck seat with an umbrella. You have a beautiful view of the large homes on Casey Key. My only gripe was the waitress brought the bill and never asked if we wanted anything else. This always annoys me and forces me to order another drink just to make my point! read more

Always our favorite place to visit and it's on the water. We pulled up with our boat. Food, service, old Florida feel all good.

Went on a Saturday night. The place was full and we had to wait a little. Tables were spaced out and since we had a small dog we could only sit outside which was perfect! We got a table right next to the pier it was the best. The server Lindsey was very nice and friendly. We ordered from a the specials mainly: the yellowtail snapper, the blackened cod, the bouillabaisse, 2 kids meals and a hamburger. The food came out first for the kids- pasta, garlic bread, grilled cheese and fries, salad and carrots. The adults got their food 5 minutes later. The fish dishes came with mash potatoes, green beans, carrots and the fish. My yellowtail snapper came with a great sauce with capers, tomato and artichoke. The bouillabaisse was huge! And came with plenty of seafood. The fish dishes were warm on the verge of being cold so we had to ask them to reheat it and they did, in fact, they may have even made a new plate. Both dishes tasted good, the bouillabaisse was great and the hamburger, was apparently, one of the best my friend has had in a while. The kids dishes were quite big and they liked it. The fries were not more than ok. The service was pretty good as well. I would come back. I will mention, non of the employees had a mask on nor did most of the guests. Non of the kitchen staff either so if you are trying to be covid safe, this may not be the place for you. read more

Casey Key Fish House is outstanding. It was totally open so seating inside was open to the bay . All windows were open even though it was a slight rain. Our server was Abby, and she was spectacular. Not only did she smile the whole time , but answered questions I asked about the business. Normally CKFH is packed all the time but she said it was slowly picking up speed. We had lunch. My friend had Clam Chower and I had conch fritters. Food was good, I couldn't eat it all. However, we ordered Key Lime pie , it was excellent. Unlike some places, it was not too sweet. It was tangy and my friend ate most of it! We will definitely go back, if it's not too crowded! read more

What an unpleasant surprise. With mediocre food and haphazard service, I was surprised this place had the stars it DID have on Yelp. Absolutely no effort was expended to minimize risk regarding Covid - tables were not dostanced; no staff wore any face coverings, and hygiene and cleanliness was not a priority. I don't think the food here necessarily deserves 4 stars, but you can't beat the view during lunch, so I'll round up. Came here for the second time - first time I got a blackened mahi sandwich, which I liked much more then the fish tacos my girlfriend and I got this time. They were bland and not exactly excellent. Good, but nothing special. Service also wasn't great. Just average - it was better last time. However, the place is on Casey Key (I know, I'm a genius for pointing that out) and the view is beautiful. They also have a nice tiki bar outside across the parking lot which looks like fun. Really though, the view makes this place what it is. The fresh seafood while overlooking the water around Casey Key makes this a 4 star restaurant. Definitely worth coming to. read more

We just had lunch here and had an unbelievable experience. We came around 230, we're seated immediately. Nicole was our server and we never waited for a single thing! She was even making our drinks, which were the best pina coladas we've all had. I cannot recommend this place enough- right on the water with mullet and sheepshead swimming right under us. I would say this place is better if you're looking for a cool beachy atmosphere versus quality food. I ordered the crab stuffed shrimp that came with broccoli, carrots and garlic mashed potatoes. I didn't feel like the crab or shrimp was very fresh which was disappointing for being on the water. The sides were plain. I ended up liking the garlic bread the best. Our server was not super helpful when we asked what she recommended and seemed annoyed that we were asking. Separate from the restaurant is a tiki hut bar. Thinking this may be a better place for drinks rather than dinner. read more
