I stopped by Mod Moe's today it's been a while since I've been here. I decided to order off the specials menu today. Oh my was i delighted. I got the chicken pesto sandwich. The flavors were terrific and hit the spot. The atmosphere is welcoming and the bar views facing the west are good it want to just watch the surroundings of Tamiami. We've been here at least 5 more times with friends and family who visit us in Sarasota. Everybody loves this place. It's a sports bar, so don't expect linen tablecloths, but the food and service do not disappoint, no matter what you order. It's been consistently good. Who doesn't love a good sports bar? Who doesn't love aGREAT sports bar with consistently outstanding un-sports bar food? From the tacos, to the salads, to the nachos, to the wings...FLAWLESS and fresh! If your're lucky enough to go there when they're smoking meat outside, order it! Pulled pork, brisket, whatever it is, is a treat! Have never ordered the fries when they weren't right out of the fryer. Seasoned perfectly, crispy on the outside, and pillow-like on the insides. I had the MMM burger it was very good nothing bad to say about it loved the fries. My wife had grouper sandwich unfortunately, it was over fried. So she did not like it much coast law was not to good either. for an appetizer, we had potatoes cans and the bacon was burnt.. Service was good but the ambiance was typical very loud. So after a bit of a hiatus, a group of four of us went back to Mad Moe's. The food was delicious (compared to the last time when we thought it might be a one off). The wings cooked Dakota style were a hit and my teriaki chicken bowl was VERY good. Service as is usual was top notch. read more

Monday night is have price wings. Their wings are the best in our area and we know our wings since we are from Buffalo. We love their nachos with beef, Caesar salad , burgers and tacos. They have least a dozen tv's and a great beer menu. Service was great and all the food came at quickly. It's a sports bar with outdoor seating also. They do have entertainment . For some reason the Nachos weren't great tonight. Maybe it was because there wasn't enough meat mixture and too much lumpy cheese. read more

Food has changed since new owners and not as good as talking to the server who was great, she informed us the owners have cheapened the items for the menu and you can certainly see that if you're a regular. Also the music ( only country) was so loud we couldn't talk at our table or hear the server talking to us. We asked the manger and owner if they could turn it down a bit, totally ignored us. This is a regular work lunch spot we hit abut twice a month when we are able. The food is always good quality, huge portions and reasonably priced. All of the staff are friendly as we have become regulars. Typical sports bar vibe but clean and friendly. The regulars have their names on the stools (literally) and you always see them as this place has a large returning customer base. A must try if you are in the area. read more

May 21, 2023 - 3 for dinner on a Sunday. We had been wanting to go back after our first visit in 2021. I have gone there for a few take out orders which have been very good but not a good judge of true food, cooking, and service quality. We had been wanting to order the artichoke specialty pizza that we had loved on that visit but found out it is not on the menu any longer. (frown) Our service from Brandy was absolutely FANTASTIC. What a vibrant and lovely person and ambassador for the restaurant!! The place was fairly busy and she had many tables inside and out and yet , I even commented to my daughter how my measure of classic service is the water glass never get past half full. I gulped down my glass and put it to my right empty. On almost the next trip flying past our table she swooped down like an eagle and filled that sucker up like it was instinct? 10/10 Moe's is know for its burgers and the girls both decided to find out if it was deserved. Both got cheeseburgers (I forget the exact ones) and each asked for a different doneness. One medium rare, and the other medium well. Well no spoiler alert here, BOTH were exactly as ordered 10/10 The fries and sweet potato fries each had ordered were cooked and seasoned perfectly but both commented a little 'cool'. 6/10 My order was a 14 inch pizza with mushroom, onions, peppers, sliced/disc tomatoes, and jalapeno slices. This was a VERY awesome pizza. The crust fantastic and the ingredients (especially the cheese) was TOP grade, nice and silky and not junked up with whey and fillers. the vegetables perfectly cooked. The sliced tomatoes on top looked great and tasted very nice with a little top crispiness. My only complaint is maybe a little 'wet' from the tomatoes or the sauce might have been a little runny?? But it all tasted and felt great. 10/10 (second best pizza there after the artichoke pizza we can't get ) A great local gem of a spot and half the 14 inch pie went in a box and I had it for lunch the next day. a few minutes at 450 degrees F and it was just as good as the day before!!!! A happy visit I was thinking burger as I drove To Mad Moe's and it was only after I sat down and looked closer at their menu did I see the Meatloaf Dinner. It is marked as a Mad Moe's Favorite and sounded healthier, vegetables as opposed to fries. I have not been eating many veggies lately. After quizzing my server I went with the meatloaf, and boy was that a great decision. Nothing against their burgers, I had a great burger in the past, but this meatloaf was so good. Meatloaf is better with a sauce, and the brown mushroom demi grace was outstanding. This made it a high flavor meal, with string beans and an otherwise boring pile of mashed potatoes. The large portion of meatloaf was wrapped with bacon, that was definitely another plus. I was so happy with my food. I arrived at Mad Moe's on a nice quiet evening, until I opened their door. While the outside with their picnic tables and few TVs and customers seemed calm, the inside was very loud, crowded, and full of electronic lighting. There were TVs everywhere. Two different experiences, I chose the one outside. I got along great with my server, who helped me decide on the meatloaf and took excellent care of me. For me, this was a very nice warm, feeling sports bar. It had one central huge TV with many more around the seating area and bar. The bartender was very friendly and answered all my menu questions as it was lunch I opted for a bowl of chili it comes with onions and cheese. I added jalapeños with a side of their extreme chicken wing sauce, the bowl was huge I couldn't eat it all the chili was OK. It was a little bland for me but the extreme heat kicked it up to another level. If you cannot handle the heat I would not recommend the extreme wing sauce. I'm definitely coming back to try the Denver wings although I don't think my wife would enjoy this extreme heat on her wings. We may have to take it down a notch. read more

We had noticed the parking lot stays full, and decided to try it out. I had the Indiana pork tenderloin sandwich with loaded fries. The fries were delicious, the sandwich was good, could have had some seasoning in the breading, but the bun and toppings were fresh and tasty. My wife had the cheeseburger with onion rings and liked both. The service was okay, but I had to make sure to stop the server a few times to get what I needed. The restaurant is very noisy in general, an older couple sitting three feet away yelled at each other for the majority of our time there, so that's a mood killer. I had the Reuben and the boss had the taco salad. My Reuben was really good. The meat was flavorful and the marbles rye bread was delish. The taco salad was a good mix of beef, rice and bean, lettuce and tortilla chips. Service was friendly and attentive. I'm absolutely shocked by the volume of favorable reviews of Mad Moe's, but this place failed to meet expectations on several fronts. I came here on recommendation from others and I really liked the name. I was hoping to find a great gastropub with authentic craft beer, quality food, and a fun vibe. Instead, I found Mad Moe's to be very dirty, low to no energy dining room, and sub-par quality food (e.g. cheap quality). Fried Pickles: Beyond gross. They were breaded with quite possibly the weirdest spices, of which corn meal was the primary. They looked gross and tasted bad. Although piping hot, I couldn't get more than a couple down. Cuban: Don't bother - this does not qualify as a Cuban Sandwich. They are using cheap quality ingredients (the ham was not fresh and looked like it was processed). Instead of pressing it during the cooking process on a panini style of bread, they serve it toasted. So my inside was completely cold. I took one bite and put it down. Burger: My wife ordered a special burger that had mushrooms and Swiss. Cheese wasn't melted and the mushrooms were dry. Fries tasted like they had been fried with other items, leaving a bad after taste. Service was fine / quick, but my overall experience was nothing short of a disappointment. I would not recommend Mad Moe's if you have higher standards for your food quality. Note: Pay close attention to the dust / mold / debris coming out of the cooling vents in the ceiling. read more

I really enjoyed this place. It is a nice Pin and grill with great food. Unfortunately there were a lot of interesting meals it was hard to choose! We started off with the egg roll avocado appetizers. They were served with a tasty sauce and were delicious. They are huge so we each had 1 and brought the remainder home. I ordered the pork tenderloin sandwich. The pork was tender and crispy crust. My friend suggested to order the Parmesan garlic fries. So glad I did! Delicious. She ordered a hamburger and said it was cooked perfect and was tasty. Definitely would recommend read more

Service was fine. I ordered the ultimate pizza for carry out. When I got home with the pizza, it looked good, but when I pulled off a slice, it was very doughy. I put it in the oven to cook a little longer but the never got crispy. The edges of the pizza were edible but the center was not. I'm going to try putting it in the air fryer and see what happens. If this doesn't help, I will not order another pizza from Moe's. read more

Ate here recently with a party of 10. We asked to be seated at a picnic table outside as we had several kids in our group and there were two empty tables out front. Instead we were seated in a booth for 6. Packed in like sardines, finally we put a chair on the end and even then had no elbow space. Server was super friendly and discussed drink menu with us and made food recommendations. Kids were happy with their meals and grown ups too. I was surprised what a selection of food they have here, not just typical American fare. I ordered the gyro which was very good with tzatziki and all. I will be back, but if seating is always so tight, will only come with party of 2 because that's what they seem to cater to. read more

The combination of what they are doing creates a dynamic where you can get amazing food and drinks served in comfortable dining areas surrounded by TVs that are broadcasting sports. Outside are plenty of tables with umbrellas should you decide to hangout alfresco. It was 90° during our visit so we opted for the indoor seating. When you walk in the door, the visual presence is all about the TVs., plenty of screens. The menu offers all of the core pub items from bar food to dinner entrées. Since we were taking a break from eating at home I chose the Cuban sandwich. It was a huge portion, made with ham, roasted pork, cheese, pickles and mustard on super fresh Cuban bread. OK... The sandwich was amazing, a ten! My wife ordered the fish tacos and loved them. She asked our server for some salsa to put on top of the tacos. That salsa was the bomb! In fact, our server said their salsa is a hit for everyone that tries it. My daughter devoured the kids cheeseburger, that's a good thing when kids eat like that. Thick and juicy, it came with french fries and a drink, definitely a good value. Our server was prompt, attentive and well-versed on the menu items. When searching for a sports bar in Osprey, this should be the first one that comes up. It was an excellent choice and we'll be back! Salute! read more

Why 5 stars? Was a very much welcome 'back to reality' meal after 65+ days in quarantine. Food was great and the evening was very relaxing. Also a great way to get back to typing up some reviews! We had a very spontaneous road trip from the Tampa Bay area down to Sarasota on a Thursday evening. Everything was fantastic. Waitstaff was wonderful and food and ambiance was perfect. We sat out in the parking lot outside to maintain some 'social distance' but not at anytime after we sat down felt like we were in a weird post apocalyptic Covid-19 world. It felt normal, really normal. From the Gulf breeze down to the "Love Bugs" who decided to get a little frisky in my beer, I just had to laugh it off and enjoy the evening off. The server suggested that Mad Moe's was famous for the hamburgers so I said hey! that does sound pretty awesome. I got one of the ones that were highlighted on the menu and the fries were also really nice. My wife had shrimp tacos w/ beans and rice and while I tried the rice and beans (both awesome) she didn't allow me to have a bite of the tacos...probably because they were also pretty good. My son had a hamburger and fries as well and the kids menu w/ Crayons was much appreciated! What is pretty awesome about the location is that it is fairly close to the bridge that goes out to Casey Key. There are some fabulous mansions to check out and a really cool sloooow drive from the North end to South end of Casey Key. We finished off the evening by driving to the beach at the South end of Casey key for the sunset. Overall, Mad Moe's was a perfect start of the 'new normal' mixed with being very accommodating to our small family when we just popped in for dinner without thinking about things much at all.
