After my flavorful Italian Sausage and Jalapeños pizza today, I will call Joe before a national chain. It was National Mom and Pop Business Day and my local Joe's posted a picture of their owners on Facebook and it prompted me to order. So I got on their website and ordered my favorite, Sausage & Jalapeño Small Thin Crust Pizza. When I order pizza from any pizza joint, I always add special instructions. I am not a fan of "square" cut and request mine to be cut "pie", the traditional way to serve pizza. My Italian Sausage was spicy, the sauce had zing to it and there was plenty of jalapeños. The jalapeños even had some crunch to them, which tells me, they were fresh. Then of course, the mozzarella cheese was plentiful on top of everything. The website was user friendly and when I arrived, the young ladies working the front counter were friendly and polite. Good pizza and friendly service will have me ordering pick-up again. Sure I can have them deliver, but I don't mind the short drive to pick it up myself. Support your local mom and pop businesses.

When ordering, I like request that my thin crust be pie cut. I'm really not a fan of the square cut. On occasion I have done hand tossed and at least once a year, I do New York style. Sometimes you just need to change things up and they do a great job on those, too. I usually add jalapeños to all my pizzas, but recently I have discovered banana peppers and onions. They're best paired with, Italian Sausage and they are not stingy with the amount of toppings. Living so close, I always opt to pick-up in store, instead of having it delivered. I can order on line and by the time I get in my Rav4 and drive to the store, it is ready. Even though I'm picking up, I always tip $2 for the hard workers.
