It looks sketch, and I briefly reconsidered my choice. But I'm glad I went in! Yelp was zero help in finding this gem, so props to Barstool's One Bite app. I have struggled (to put it mildly) to find even decent pizza around these parts, but this was sooooo worth the drive! The sticks were fantastic and the pizza was even better. I threw my half of the pizza down my gullet so fast, my throat was struggling to keep up. I wish I would've ordered a larger size. Don't let the looks of the building deter you. There is delicious pizza out here in BFE.

Surprisingly there was plenty of seating for the 10 of us. The staff were nice and I ordered 8in buffalo chicken pizza, fried dill pickles & large drinks. They have fountain drinks & 2 liters drink options. They ordered the largest cheese pizza & it came with free breadsticks. We did have to wait for a decent time but they were fairly busy with people picking up call in orders. The fried dill pickles & breadsticks came out and they were hot and fresh. I loved the pickles they were crispy & seasoned & had a dipping sauce. Also did I mention it brick oven pizza style, so once our pizzas came out a few minutes later not & fresh out the oven. You can see the crisp on the bottom & crust. The buffalo chicken pizza was good not hot buffalo sauce but still packed some flavors. 8 inches wasn't a big pizza almost a personal size but still plenty and our other group devoured their cheese pizza. It the huge and delicious. They didn't have a trash can and we were told to leave our stuff for clean up. They have one small bathroom but it was well stocked & clean. We were pleasantly surprised by the location size, service and food. Don't sleep on local places you never know until you try it.

Bubbas has a modern industrial vibe with concrete floors and black tables. I was freezing in the dining room, but we were able to move out on the covered patio. The tables are spotless outside. Our server, Ashley, was friendly, engaging and super attentive. She kept waters filled and checked on us several times. She even offered to prepare beverages to go and told us the story of our sandwich origin. We had 5 star service. The menu offers a mix of pizzas, Strombolis, sandwiches, salads and pasta dishes. They have a full bar offering basics. The Hot Italian Stromboli, served warm, was deliciously spicy and packed with ham, salami, pepperoni, onions, olives, cheese and peppers. The toasted bread was nice and crunchy. My husband and I split the 16" sandwich and they kindly served it to us on separate plates. There's plenty of parking in their private lot. This is a good casual date spot of place to meet up with friends. The great ratings are well deserved with great service and food.

Our hostess/ waitress was very friendly and seated us right away on a Friday afternoon without a wait. We asked the waitress to recommend a choice for our pizza...it was the deep dish MVP...and we were very pleased! Not only did it look impressive upon arrival to our table, but it was just as delicious. I quite shamelessly gobbled down two hefty slices, back to back. And that was after we had the meatballs and pepperoni sticks! I just wasn't ready for how good everything was. Since that visit, we've tried both the penne pasta and chicken, the chicken Parmesan, the Spabby pizza, and their meatball subs. I'm telling ya, no matter what your menu choice is from Bubba's....you can't go wrong.

Was greeted promptly and warmly near the end of their serving time. After asking if they were closing, we were told they were just cleaning up from the rush and we were welcome to have a seat anywhere. The waitress arrived promptly at our table and patiently answered our menu questions and gave recommendations. This was a testament to her kindness and warmth as she could've easily been eager to end her shift and leave as it was 25 minutes prior to closing for the day. When ask about the special of the day, she provided an honest response, which was appreciated. Her recommendation of the fish was spot on. It tasted fresh and was prepared nicely. She checked on us multiple times and never seem rushed or hurried. The cook later came out after the closing sign was turned on and chatted with us. It was like we were local residence warmly welcomed on a routine visit. Enough can't be said about their staff - like Mayberry. Though the menu isn't broad, it is sufficient and has a variety of choices. A daily special, even on the weekend is a nice addition. The interior is small and definitely not modern with needed upgrades. This is the only negative of my visit. It is a diner, with few booths and few tables. The food is good and the service is outstanding. All places could learn from these servers how to treat people. Kudos to all of you.

The menu was basically a seafood lover's dream team: fried fish, frog legs (yes, frog legs!), and clams were flying off plates faster than we could say "pass the tartar sauce." Everything was seriously tasty -- crispy, flavorful, and just the right amount of "I'm pretending to be fancy on a Friday night." The diner itself is cozy, like the kind of place where everyone knows your name... or at least your order. Our server was a rockstar, hustling like a ninja with a tray, making sure we never had an empty glass or a hungry stomach. Hats off to them for handling our wild crew with such patience and grace! If you're in Borden and craving some honest, no-frills seafood and great vibes, Buckboard Diner is the spot. Just maybe don't bring a party bigger than a small family reunion -- unless you're ready for a cozy squeeze!
