However, I felt that the chorizo could of used a little more love. This is the first year we have used Casey's. We heard good things about him and decided to give it a try. My girlfriend has never been able to eat any game meat because of the taste, but taking our cow elk to Casey's was the best choice we could have made because my girlfriend is loving it. We all are. Took Caseys a huge bull Bison, a once in a lifetime animal. I got back 200 pkgs of ground meat and 50 pkgs of steaks and roasts. The bull was field dressed by professional guides and I was there and saw that it was done right. Yep, he blamed it on the way it was dressed. No way. I ordered around 13% suet in the burger. It looks like none was put in it. Dry as can be and you have to add beef burger to even cook it properly. I also order summer sausage and made a point to order it as spicey as possible. I had him write down the directions while I watched, even offered to pay extra. Guess what? I couldn't even taste the pepper. So, in a word every aspect of my order was screwed up. Casey was on vacation when I spoke with him about this and he said he would call me back. Been almost a year and I am still waiting. read more

Up until this last incident I had been taking my animals to Caseys for about two hunting seasons. Last October I took my elk into his shop and he told me that I would get loins, sirloins, and backstrap and I ordered the rest to be ground up into hamburger. When I went to pick up the meat I noticed that I only had about 100 lbs on a 260 lb animal. Nobody there even mentioned to me that some of my meat was allegedly ruined during the quartering process. When I talked to the owner he stated that the sirloins were ruined. All he had to say is that it was all my fault and I did a terrible job of quartering it. He did not mention this once when he inspected the animal at the way in time. Why would he write up loins, sirloins, and backstraps if the sirloins were ruined? Why did I only end up with 40% of the weight back in meat? Casey treated me like gargage, and he has no loyalty to his customers. I would definitely stay away from this operation when looking for someone to process your game. read more
