If the buffet was effectively closing, that should have been clearly communicated before taking my money. At the very least, once my wife was refused access two minutes later, I should have been offered the opportunity to have my purchase refunded. I wasn't. This isn't really about two minutes. It's about basic communication, consistency, and customer service. We came in expecting to have a meal together as a family and instead were left with an experience that felt both unreasonable and completely avoidable.
