They say, "people make a company," and my experience was phenomenal! Theo Lugo - at the time a couple months ago was a senior banker handling the refinance of my car. He and OneAZ made the process seamless. It was fast and easy. Because nowadays, who has time to weigh through a bunch of documents, filling out all kinds of forms, etc. No one does and "Theo Lugo" understands that. And even though at the time my credit was not the best (it has since improved big time), Theo got the job done, lowered my interest rate significantly, and saved me so much money on monthly car payments. I could not be any more pleased. And I found out later that he had already been "tapped" to become Branch Manager at the Glendale branch; yet despite this big promotion, he did not let it go to his head, and significantly, he did not pass me off to someone else. Rather, like a good leader, he completed the job he started & he completed it well! I cannot say enough really good things about both he & OneAZ. I was impressed, I have now switched from the traditional bank, to an amazing credit union, thanks to Theo Lugo. I really suggest them. If you want a great experience, do the same as I did. I walked in and was not greeted nor asked if I need assistance. I needed to speak with a banker so it's not like I could have went up to a teller or the kiosks. So I stood around for a few mins then the person that was standing around finally came around. I came in here while running errands with my mom and all I have to say is RUDE. I'm typing this as I sit here waiting. They said it'll be at least a 40 min wait because all the bankers are busy at the moment. There is 3 bankers in for the day and I see 1 banker with customers and one said he is going on lunch and the other is sitting at a computer... not sure what he's are doing but I'm here waiting and waiting! The one banker that said he's going to lunch is now helping someone else at the kiosks near the entrance. Kudos to him for not going to lunch to continuously help walk in customers, but he couldn't have helped me w/ my issue. So still waiting while the one banker seemingly to be hanging out on a computer and the customer that was sitting w/ the other banker had left. I sound kind of whiny but it sounds like they are trying to discourage people from seeing a banker. So UPDATE... we sat down w/ a banker, ill give them that it was less than a 40 minute wait. But the banker was extremely rude, it seems like that is the norm for this location. My mom's english is limited so I was trying to explain to her what the banker said.. but he kept interrupting me while I was translating for mom!! EVERYTIME I try to explain something to my mom, he would interrupt like I wasn't speaking to my mother; to a point where I said can you hold on. And he repeatedly referred to my mom by the wrong name. And that is after he asked for ID verification. So can you not take two seconds to look at the name of the person's ID that you asked for, "for security purposes"!! Real secure here! After everything was done, as we go to leave my mom says thank you to this rude banker.. and he says you're welcome while staring at a computer screen. Simply put, when someone says thank you and you respond.. you look back at the person especially when you're at a professional setting. Get that I don't really go see bankers often but it shouldn't feel like I was an inconvenience to his day at work. Absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous!

    This has been the most devastating and heartless banking experience of my life…read more After 13 years of faithfully paying on my car loan, my family experienced unexpected financial hardship. I made the difficult decision to sell our home specifically so I could pay off the remaining balance in full. The day before I was scheduled to pay the car off completely, the bank repossessed my vehicle. The repossession agents arrived in the middle of the night, shining flashlights into our windows and frightening my family. It was an incredibly upsetting and invasive experience, especially with young children in the house. The very next day, I did everything in my power to resolve the situation. I paid the full remaining balance of $7,500. I even went to the Sheriff's Department to try to expedite the release of my vehicle. Despite paying in full, the bank refused to release my car that Friday afternoon at 2 PM -- leaving my family without transportation for the weekend, including access to emergency care for my children if needed. What has hurt the most is the complete lack of empathy or flexibility. After more than a decade of payments and a sincere effort to resolve the situation immediately and in full, I was met with indifference. I understand policies exist, but compassion should too. If you are considering this bank for an auto loan, please think carefully. When you need understanding the most, this institution does not provide it.
