Although they were good, I felt the pricing was a bit steep and they weren't he best donuts I've ever had. But it was worth the stop and the calories!

We had 6 persons in our group. We started with a lightly griddled corn bread appetizer to get things going. 2 persons loved the rich and silky lobster bisque soup. I enjoyed the seasonal salad with sourwood honey dressing. I have raised my 2 grown adult children with great exposure to different culture's fine dining. So they jumped right in and ordered the elk. It was perfectly cooked and delicious. So tender.... My wife got the succulently light trout and was so pleased. I ordered a well priced and tasty bottle of Margaux wine. The desserts for sharing were the bread pudding and cobbler. They were delicious and devoured quickly. The whole experience was fantastic ! The pièce de résistance was getting to speak with Chef Johannes. He is a wonderful and passionate Chef that truly loves his work. The menu changes periodically so one will never be bored. My wife ordered the 4 enchiladas platter and it was beautiful, plenty of chicken and fillings, with tasty sauces on each type. It was so big the rice and beans had to come on a separate plate. I normally prefer refried beans over the rice for side dishes, but that rice was very flavorful which was surprising to me since most are bland. My son had the seafood burrito and he said it was very good with a lot of seafood. It filled him up, which is an accomplishment in itself. All the portions were large and prices were very reasonable. Our waiter provided great service. He didn't speak English very well but no points were taken off for that. He knew enough to do his job. Their health scores were also very high, which was why we chose this place over others in the area we normally chose in the past.
