Employees are so friendly! And patient, because there are so many amazing treats to choose from! Everything I've had has been sooo good. (My fav is the Chai shake.) I was on my way to a church retreat center when it started pouring rain and I lost my Internet. So, I decided to turn back and guess what? I ended up at Crossroads Custard. It came highly recommended by a local couple that I was talking to. Crossroads Custard is a quaint little place with only three tables inside and a few outside. The counter displays make anyone with a sweet tooth (me) water at the mouth. I enjoyed a red velvet home made waffle with chocolate mint ice cream topped with whipped cream. They even gave me a "pup cup" for my puppy, Cinnamon! It was topped with a dog biscuit. I found parking right outside, but the lot was pretty full. The service was Southern hospitality at it's best. All in all, I am glad it rained and I turned back from my initial destination. read more

A great addition to this quaint vacation town. Only wish their evening hours were a bit longer. We weren't the only ones walking in for a post-dinner treat around 8 pm. Yum! Perfect treat for a hot summer day in Cashiers! They did seem a bit understaffed with only one person working the counter on July 4th weekend. However totally worth the wait for a yummy custard mixer! I will say I don't think I completely understood how the menu worked so I just stuck to a basic order since I felt bad asking with how busy it was but I will certainly be back! read more

Super cute local sweet shoppe with fun pastries, custards, and candies. We didn't try the waffles because there was only one young girl who was tending to all customers and requests. We didn't want to overwhelm her with more orders. We did notice a man, which we presume was the Owner, sitting at the front counter where we wanted to sit reading his mail. When he went behind the counter my husband was happy because it appeared he was going to help us by taking our order, but instead he walked away and gave him the cold shoulder. My daughter, on the other hand, was so very excited to try her very first custard (with added boba topping). The young lady working told us it was made of egg whites and less sugar making it a healthy option which mom (aka me) liked! The lemon custard was delicious and they also had tons of other favorable fun flavor options to choose one. We also saw some homemade cookies coming fresh out of the oven with adorable sprinkles . Lastly, I was super intrigued by the shish kabob gummies, Charlie's cinnamon buns, and the Brook's raspberry truffles and what looked like other a bunch of other local baker's products! Great ice cream, nice people but too many rules on toppings and sizes. Asked for a kids cup with a flavor ice cream and one topping and was told that only comes in a classic or large cup, which we paid for, but then upon leaving realized it was served in a kids cup anyway. The lady in front of us could not successfully order without being told they couldn't do that. It's very confusing and it seems to be unnecessarily. The product is great though. read more

Stopped here after Slabtown pizza (same parking lot). A little bit of a small space so if there are more than 10 people or so it will feel crowded. The custard was fantastic and a hit all around. Ordered the epic waffle with cheesecake custard on top and it was amazing. Great warm waffle with the cool custard. Ordered chocolate with sprinkles for the kiddo and also a cake batter custard. We go there very often and the custard is consistently delicious. It's my husband's and my favorite ice cream anywhere!

We are so glad we stopped in here! Cashiers hasn't had a local "sweet spot" in several years, so we were delighted to hear that Crossroads Custard had opened up. From the minute you walk in, you feel welcome. So many folks behind the counter took the time to greet us and then offered to walk us through how the process worked. All of the folks here were very friendly. They have a pretty vast menu and while it was a little overwhelming at first, Badge (one of the owners) took the time to help us decide what we'd be having for our first time there. We decided on a "Squatch" (which is a very thick frappe and you can add things in). We picked mint cookie as our custard flavor (that's vanilla custard with ground mint cookies) topped with some mini chocolate chips. It was delicious! We are already planning on our return visit. (And next time I'll take pictures!!) Great place and highly recommend! read more

This is a very cute and cozy custard place! They have many choices of sweets and even hot tea and coffee. The workers are very nice, attentive, and thoughtful. They add a light flavoring to the custard which is nice in my opinion because it doesn't get overwhelming and I didn't get tired of eating it. Definitely worth a visit! read more

A hidden gem with super friendly owners/staff and great custard, coffee and waffles. Lots of charm and fun toppings and flavor shot options. They opened in Dec 2021 and have a quaint little space conveniently nestled in Cashiers. They source their coffee from local businesses. There are about 6 stools to sit at the counter and two tables that could seat 5 people each. I had the cinnamon roll and sausage waffles, and Coffee with a vanilla flavor shot. read more

Drove from my Airbnb in Highlands to get custard here. I was warmly greeted by Jill, the owner, who let me know my pup could get a pup cup here too. Both of us loved our treats.
