If you have a young performer who is trying to break into the entertainment industry, like we were, we highly recommend taking the time to visit SCSOPA in the Santa Clarita Valley. We started Miley at SCSOPA when she was just 3 years old, and now she is 9. Over the years, Miley has had the opportunity to be involved in numerous music videos with major artists, commercials, movies, and, most recently, landing main-character roles. We truly believe a huge part of Miley's success comes from the training, guidance, and opportunities she has received through SCSOPA and especially from Miss Karen. SCSOPA offers so much more than just acting classes. They have talent agents there in person every Saturday morning, live workshops, live acting classes, Zoom classes, voiceover studios, and much more. Miss Karen also provides weekly Zoom classes with professional performers from across the United States and works with performers of all ages. We also hire Miss Karen for private lessons to go over Miley's scripts and help prepare her before auditions and casting. That personal preparation has been incredibly valuable to us. Of course, like others we've tried other talent agents and agencies over the years, and unfortunately, we've experienced situations where we were left with nothing more than a bill for a photo shoot and very little else. Everything always circled back to Santa Clarita School of Preforming Arts. So, take it from us--bypass all the noise and do your homework. Go sit down face-to-face with Mike and learn about SCSOPA for yourself. My youngest son attended SCSOPA since the time he was in junior high and through high school. He…read moregot quite a few jobs for commercials and advertising to name a few. My husband was excited when he was taking an international flight and saw our son in the DirecTV commercial. He is now 25 and has an established career and since has moved on.... Now, we have our 11 year old daughter enrolled in SCSOPA! She is enjoying every single minute here. I believe this may be her second home. She enjoys the acting classes, the voice overs, teen runway, on-camera scene practices, etc. She loves it, loves it, LOVES it!!! To add on, she has made some great friends already in the 2 months that she has been here. She just participated in a fashion show, so this place keeps her BUSY! The teachers are awesome. They are encouraging and kind. All of the instructors have professional backgrounds and it's wonderful that they are sharing it with our kids. There are agents that come weekly looking for talent. SCSOPA is preparing her for a shot in the industry! We also see her confidence building. She has met with a couple agents and is wanted by both. We will see;). Mike, the owner is warm, hilarious, and full of energy. Mike and his team are passionate about the kids and their future in show biz. So far, we believe this is the best thing we have done for our daughter so far.

Excellent school that is divided into separate schools...film/tv...dance..music... theater...etc…read more All the instructors are top level and usually still in the field or well respected. Campus is clean with a lot of trees and grass. They have a nice cafeteria with a view. Not sure about the food quality...it's a school cafeteria. Lol They also have a little coffee shop on campus. The vibe on campus is really nice with people always playing music or making installations throughout. This is not open to the public fyi. You must go through security.

They were personable, showed us their dorm rooms and gave us insight. They have a ton of great programs. One of the best things we saw were the fashion department and the animation. The art work on the walls is just outstanding but the downside of the campus is it's far away from LA. I think it was at least 45 min away with traffic overall looks good. Didn't realize Walt Disney owned the campus as well. Nice little nugget

I enjoyed taking the medical administrative and the medical assistant class I learned a lot there…read morewas a lot of knowledge, the teacher Miss Brammer taught the medical administrative. She a sweet teacher and loving , and I'm super happy about it she was capable of breaking down the subjects and there was always games involved. Last, but not least Dr. C is honestly the best teacher that I've had and he teaches so well and he will support you in any type of way and he will guide you through the class if you have any concerns, but I do recommend these two teachers if you take these courses.

I have passed the first part of CMAA (administrative) and got my certification with the NHA-2021. I passed the second part (CCMA- Clinical) as well and got my diploma of completion from the school and again the code for the second test with the NHA 2022. I have passed the second test too. I have both diplomas from the school and both certifications from NHA. I want to thank both teachers, specially Dr. C for your dedication in prepared us for this journey. If you are serious about becoming a medical assistant this is the place for you. Arrive on time, do your assignments, ask questions, read, practice, read more, practice more and pay attention. I was invited by friends to try rug tufting on a Saturday afternoon and didn't know what to expect…read more Prior to the class we were asked to submit a photo of what we wanted to create, so I had my daughter create a cartoon image of my precious baby and sent it in. When I arrived to class, the adorable image I sent was magnified on a "canvas". The teacher gave us detailed instructions on how to use the tufting tool and let us try it out before sending us back to work on our own rug designs. There were several staff members there to assist, give suggestions and help when it was needed. The facility was clean and the tables were adjustable which made the job easier. This activity does take the full 4-5 hours they recommended as there are more steps to complete after the yarn is tufted. I had a fun time and used lots of arm, leg, and core muscles as well! I love my rug!!! I highly recommend taking this tufting class. Let your imagination take over and create your next masterpiece at Knotty by Nature!

Game Gen has made a relatively intimidating subject, coding, really fun by allowing the kids to make their own games. The kids have just started but they seem to be really enjoying it and I am hoping it leads to greater interest in the subject.
