My wife and I had been meaning to remodel our fireplace for several years and reached out to Caspian Construction after seeing all the positive reviews and photos of their work online. The owner Ben got back to me right away and scheduled a site visit. He was warm and knowledgable and worked up a quote for us a couple days later. We were considering many different options, including buying the materials ourselves so Ben broke down the quote into individual pieces, including if he provided the materials and if we provided them. While we tried to figure out what kind of tiles and mantels we wanted, as well as if we wanted ceramic gas logs or real wood, I had all kinds of questions for Ben and he always answered my emails quickly. When we finally locked in all the details the actual construction was a breeze. His people were polite and they made sure to put plastic on the floors to prevent dust and cement from getting everywhere. The end result, as you can see in the pictures, is a beautifully remodeled fireplace, hearth, mantel and ceramic gas logs that look real! I will add, and this is actually a good thing, when we finally turned on the gas fireplace, there was a gas leak. This was no fault of Caspian Construction, it was the fact that the valve hadn't been turned on since we moved into the house and it broke from age and lack of use. But knowing that gas leaks are no joke, Ben bent over backwards to get that leak fixed for us ASAP, texting me updates constantly. And he refused to cash my check until we were satisfied. We bought our first home last year and the chimney inspection showed lots of issues.
