The customer service is terrible. I made an appointment twice on line. The first time was texted to make an appointment for the next week. Made a second appointment, arrived and was told they could not service my car that day. There was no apology or promise to work me into the schedule. Was told I should have called to verify the on line appointment. Why have an on line booking if you have to call as well. The person at the desk had no customer service skills and was actually combative. Never coming back here again ever! read more

A couple years ago I requested service from Cassel's garage. I belt had broken while I was driving, followed by a decrease in power, and overheating beginning in the next couple minutes, so I had parked the car, and allowed them to take the car to the garage (I chose their services partially based on that.) Although I had only wanted the broken belt repaired, somehow they persuaded me to replace the thermostat (claiming that it had overheated first thus causing the belt to break, which was false, but I didn't challenge them on that) ... and then persuaded me that I should do an "engine flush" which I agreed, thinking that I wanted the vehicle to last longer. When I did get my vehicle back, they had thus inflated the services to $800 (far more than what I had planned for a serpentine belt replacement) and for both insult and injury, that had caused *physical damage* to the body by using a machine to "jack up" the car without paying attention to underlying rust (they could have used a stronger portion of the body or ramps).... and then told me that I should "get rid of the car" because it was going to fall apart, AFTER having sold me the former "engine flush" with the increased bill. They would have known about the damage they did BEFORE performing the service intended for a long-term vehicle. There was no apology for the visible damage to body, but they did start sending me marketing text messages. So I thought it would be appropriate to leave this report. Cassels Garage provided a full service inspection on our 9 year old 110,000 mile vehicle. I was concerned to take the vehicle on a large trip. The service provided by the team was 5 star and then some. We have since relocated to an Independent Living Place in Nashville TN. to be closer to our family. The other reviews were correct, there seems to be an attitude problem with these businesses around Brevard County, it's actually making me miss Miami Dade even more. I submitted a request to multiple businesses to see if someone can do an exhaust install on a 992 Porsche, Cassels Garage responded with "We are in Brevard" and marked it as "Unable to Service". Um okay? I responded with I'm in Palm Bay, not Miami which he probably got from my public profile, which is in Brevard county. What's funny is the questions yelp asked them even states where I am. I rarely write reviews, but wanted to relay a cautionary tale. I made an appointment online for my son to drop his car off for suspension service. The appointment was for 9AM on Tuesday. Not having heard anything from the shop by mid-afternoon on Wednesday, I called for an update. After a rather long hold, I was informed that there were a large number of cars ahead of my son's and that the earliest it would be evaluated was Thursday afternoon. My query about having an appointment for 9AM on Tuesday was met with a rather surly and dismissive response claiming that the online booking system was at fault. A mostly "too bad, so sad, whatever" response. Why offer the service if it doesn't work right? Why not make the fact that there would be a three day wait apparent at drop off? Why not offer to have my son pick the car up and drop it back off at the time they could actually work on it? This is unfathomable. If the customer service is this poor, I would need to question the quality of the rest of the shop's services. read more

I have had two very positive experiences with Cassels Garage recently. In each experience, the car was repaired quickly, the price for parts was very reasonable, and the number of hours of labor and the labor rate was fair for the repair done. I was kept informed along the way, including being advised that not all work I thought was needed was necessary. Both cars are running great now, and in one case, we avoided having to replace a car because Cassels helped determine that the repairs would be cheaper (and the resulting car more reliable) than finding a used car in the the current market. Requested a quote to replace front pads on a 2006 Dodge Durango and was quoted as $775, this is a $35 part plus whatever labor cost. Went to AutoZone and picked up brake pads for $37 plus tax, brought them home and was done replacing the brakes within an hour. Would not recommend. Some of these 5 star reviews look like they are from family members. read more

The folks at Cassels Garage are stand up honest mechanics. They conducted the diagnostics, fixed the issues within a business day, and even gave me a ride home while they did the repairs. I have an older model Toyota SUV and Cassels helps me keep it on the road for 16 years running. Repairs were half the price of going to the Toyota dealership. They called me about any hiccups they encountered and about services that are recommended but not critical. Call ahead and make an appointment to avoid waits - and to reserve a ride to work or home. I took my car into this shop because my maintenance light was on.... they called me with a list of things that needed to he done and I gave them the go ahead... within 24 hours my check engine light and several other lights had come on. I took my car back to them to have it checked and they said that they needed to replace the battery (that was less than a year old)- just wanting my car fixed I again said ok. It is now less than a week later and ALL of the lights are back on and my car now makes some ungodly squeek (belts I'm sure- that were replaced on the first visit)...Bottom line- I have now spent over $1000 and have more problems with my car than when I orginally took it to the shop. read more

Paid over $400 for front and rear brakes. Job was botched. Pedal went to floor and loud clunk could be heard when brakes were applied. Returned 3 times. Problem was not fixed, so I paid someone else to fix it and then everything was fine. I won't return. Previous times it took multiple trips (and multiple charges) to fix a problem. read more

Went to their Website to schedule an appointment for an alignment for my car. Verified via their website that this is a service they perform. Received a rude and angry email response back saying they do not do alignments and to take my business someplace else. Wow! I had never been there before but I can tell you I will never consider them again for service. read more

They were very fair and helpful checked out my broken transmission but I only used a regular transmission shop because it would be done sooner since I am from out of town and needed to get home fast. Was fast but when I asked about different charges, I was treated like a dumb blonde that didn't know what I was being explained to me. Kinda pushy on services that were not necessary at is time as a "precaution'. It didn't phase them that I may know something about cars even after explaining I grew up around mechanics & did my own basic maintainance myself. The work was done correctly after I took off what I felt was unnecessary. They are a bit high as well, but for the work you need done that is either beyond your toolbox or willingness to knuckle. My grandparent's have taken their cars to Cassels and after putting in more money than what my car was worth and still having the same issues I finally listened to them and have had my motor mounts replaced, my serpentine belt replaced after the first place didn't do it correctly and I just had my ignition switch replaced in my car.
