I was desperately searching for someone who could make my vision come true for our home. After doing some online searches, I called the only Carpenter I could find who informed me that the pieces I was inquiring about weren't his expertise...he referred me to Dennis!! I have no idea who that person is anymore as I never kept his information but I wish I could go back and thank him, because finding Dennis has been an absolute dream come true. I contacted him and he picked up right away and together we started our first of many projects. I had a vision for our office desk and had seen something similar that had poor reviews and dimensions that didn't quite work for our space. Dennis came over to measure the area and in a very short time had the exact item I envisioned completed and delivered into our home office! From there, we tackled the entryway console table, which also turned out perfect. He created it exactly how I wanted it and most importantly, got the stain color to match my floors! I am very particular about the woods in my house matching...(Dennis learned that very quickly about me and I love that he respected that and never gave me a hard time about it! There are times that he would call me and tell me that he found the perfect white oak for my next project that he was working on, and that always brought a smile to my face.) From there, he created a flower box for our dining table when other companies told me to just buy two or three of their's in order to make it the dimensions that I was looking for. It was silly of me not to go straight to Dennis, but when it clicked that he could absolutely make it for me he of course did (in less than one week) After that, he made the couch side arm rest, which I had actually purchased from the sofa company when purchasing the sofa. They were made so poorly and within just a few weeks, they splintered/cracked and completely fell apart on me. I called Dennis who came over, measured the armrests, and made two new ones exactly how I wanted them. Lastly, and although it's very hard to choose my favorite, this project just might be the one! I wanted a book stand in the corner. I immediately called Dennis, worked out the measurements with him and within a few weeks the project was also complete. I love that he was determined to find a way to include the metal base on our office table and that he also added brass trim to the legs of the book stand. That just goes to show you that he is dedicated to each project and wants it to be exactly what you as the customer had in mind. Don't think twice. He is incredible and I am heartbroken to think I don't have any projects coming up soon for our house! I'm sure I'll come up with something but in the meantime, I love that friends of mine are reaching out to him and that I get to see his beautiful work when I go to their homes! read more
