We had Robert do wainscoting in our dining room and build a custom entertainment center in our upstairs loft. The craftsmanship and attention to detail for his work is impeccable. He worked so diligently, sweeping up the wood shavings as he worked. We had him come when indoor masks were required and he adhered to safety protocols AND he has a pair of indoor shoes. Any time he stepped outside, he changed his shoes, and would continue to do this so that the outside shoes never were worn inside, super meticulous. Super nice, super hardworking, highest quality work, and pricing cannot be beat. You cannot go wrong with hiring Robert!! Robert use 3 days to help us to install the crown molding. Crown molding is beautiful, quality install; we would use them again and recommend to others. We bought our home in October 2021 and didn't love the mirrored bedroom doors. I just don't like seeing myself that often. I found inspiration for what I'd like the master bedroom closet to look like and Robert made it happen! I previously called closet companies and handymen, but no one was going to take it on. Thank goodness for Robert! He was meticulous, efficient and a great worker. He does a lot of the work in his workshop and then just comes to the home to demolish what he needs to and put in what he built in his shop. His craftsmanship is second to none. Unfortunately, I couldn't find a before of the hall closet but it used to be poor quality with an upper and lower cabinet and a desk in between that only seemed to gather stuff. We have so much more storage with Robert's closet and it ties in well to the rest of the house. I couldn't be happier with the quality, the process and the price. Sure we could have gone with a carpenter that offered higher end design features but the cost would have been 5X what we were quoted by Robert. We had to wait a few weeks to work our job into his schedule but it was well worth it to receive a high quality job at an affordable price. He also went the extra mile to help us route a video cable behind our wall and didn't complain or ask for compensation when it took him an extra 20 minutes to do this out-of-scope task. We hired Robert initially do to a small job of installing window casings in our house and were so impressed by his work that we had him do wainscoting in our formal dining room, formal living room and kitchen dining area. He also painted our off-white shutters to match the color of the pure white wainscoting. He was extremely professional- worked the whole day through and I don't think I ever saw him take a break. He always came on time and got to work right away. The project took about 10 working days which is exactly what he had estimated. Although paneling does cause a little disruption in the house as furniture and wall decor have to be moved, Robert and his partner put everything back as it was and the house was back to normal on the last day of installation. My husband and I couldn't be happier with how the wainscoting turned out and we are already planning to have Robert do additional work in the house. It's always hard to hire the right contractor, but OC Finishwood is a company we'd use again and refer to anyone looking for carpentry needs! read more

Robert put wainscoting up in our soon to be nursery and it looks great! Surprisingly, Robert's price was the most reasonable and we are very pleased with the results. He did the work himself in a timely manner and left no mess. I think the only thing I was a bit disappointed in was that I would have liked a smoother finish on the wainscoting but it isn't anything major and unless you are rubbing your hand across it you wouldn't know any better.
