I went to Cassidy's for my friend's karaoke that he was hosting, along with the guy I'm seeing. We went for a Halloween Costume Karaoke party. This bar is so cool! There was a crowd even though not many people were doing karaoke and the energy of the crowd was cool and fun. I drank a red bull and seltzer and split the sampler platter. The sampler platter was awesome, the best part was the thick cut bacon, you can't argue with thick cut bacon. Cassidy's is a fun place to be, definitely worth checking out! read more

I've come to Cassidy's several times over the past year and 2 things have been consistent every time.... Delicious burgers and cold, borderline hostile service. It's very pretty inside with both a nice bar and a separate seating area. There is a good beer selection and the game I want to watch always seems to be on. I live a block away and if I work late, I'll walk over for a burger and cider. Sometimes a friend will come to watch a game. Unfortunately, I don't feel like I can go to Cassidy's anymore because the food is not worth the corresponding grief. Just walking through the door causes the bartender to roll her eyes, sigh, and the patrons to go silent. The last time I was here, I was half the bar length away from the bartender and the other patrons. Nothing could move her to take my food order or drink order. I don't know if it's a management issue, a miserable bartender issue, patron issues, or all of the above, but it's if they don't already know your name at Cassidy's, don't hold your breathe expecting them to anytime soon. read more

Made the mistake of coming here after our work holiday party that was down the block...seating at the bar was full, so we made our way over to a table-with zero acknowledgement from anyone who worked there, and there were at least 3-4 ppl working behind/near the bar. We sat down and were approached by a clearly annoyed young lady who said the kitchens closing in 30 mins but I'm also leaving, but if you want food I have to stay, like our coming here had somehow inconvenienced her. For the record we had no intention of eating, but could've avoided that unpleasant interaction if she had just asked if we were interested in food. One of my friends was just browsing the juke box, just looking at the selection, and was reprimanded by the bartender because football was on and they weren't playing music, she like screamed at him from across the bar. Id like to give ppl the benefit of the doubt, maybe she screamed Cause she was far away, and wanted to make sure she heard him, maybe she didn't want him to spend the money since the music wasn't gonna play, who knows- I just know from the moment we walked in, it felt like such a burden for this place to have a party of 5 walk in. I love a good neighborhood bar, no frills, you get your drink and you just hang out, rude people though- I have zero tolerance for. One star is a generous rating if you ask me. Basing this on food/service... Second time I have been here, but my first time with the family. The food was awesome. I was skeptical because it was empty and we came pretty early in the afternoon. But it was great. Burger topped with mac and cheese, chilli nachos, and the wings.... All great! My kids had mac and cheese, and it wasn't 500% Kraft like all the other places, and grilled cheese. They were both happy with their choices. The woman who was our waitress, and the bartender was very nice as well. I would definitely recommend this place, and I look forward to coming one day for a baseball game, and having a few drinks. read more

My friends and I had planned to goto another bar, but after seeing how bad a condition it was in we decided to go elsewhere. I located "Cassidy's Pub" on Yelp and they played the game as well as offered a decent menu. When we arrived it was five minutes till twelve and a small crowd outside. The Manager and bartender showed up to open up. Inside the bar I noticed the Tiffany lamps and beautiful wood trimming. They had tall boys and wooden chairs all around. The bar itself was was nice and the staff went to work quickly. The kitchen was already open and that was a plus. I came hungry and ready to eat. Our waitress, Jessica, was outstanding! She made sure we were taken care of. It was a long wait for our appetizers, but they finally came out. I am happy to report the wings are legit at "Cassidy's Pub." The mac and cheese wedges were good also, but it's definitely worth coming for the wings. Later around halftime, we ordered burger and my nachos. The burgers took a long time to come out, and the nachos we almost thought they forgot about them. The feedback on the burgers were unanimous. They weren't good. They said Angus on the menu, but they were frozen beef patties. The bacon was chewy and the buns were stop and shop brand. It wasn't something to remember. On a good note the nachos were good. I feel they had enough toppings on top, but not underneath. I would definitely come back, the atmosphere and staff was worth it. I recommend sticking to the wings, they offer a great NFL six dollar special. But there's not much on the menu after that. read more

Well what can I say? It wasn't my idea to go to Cassidy's but here it is. Went there for dinner, ordered drinks and nothing came to the table for like a half hour. Not even water. As a matter of fact, the less than stellar french onion soup came out before any drinks did. I was parched. Besides that, the wings were mediocre at best and fuck me on that Shepherds pie that I got for dinner. First off, it was terrible. This place is a hidden gem. Small bar/restaurant. The bar is long with maybe 15-20 seats? Then to the left is the dining area that has about 10 tables. More of a bar you go to chill. Been here a few nights with live music. Have TVs to watch the games. But small, so could get noisey. Sometimes have a coupon in the paper. Right down the road from my house that I can literally walk - which is a plus! Older crowd most of the time. But I like to come here for an early dinner. I don't eat wings but heard from my family they are out of this world. I love the Balsamic Steak Wrap - diced up steak, tomatoes, lettuce, and this garlic mayo? Not sure what it is but still delicious. Fries are crispy and thin. The mac 'n cheese is great but very heavy that for the $9 they charge you should split as an appetizer. The Chili Nachos are good too, but some advice is to ask for the "homemade chips" or else they'll come out on regular tortilla chips! Service is great, bartenders are friendly and do occasional buybacks, beers are good but normal drafts. Definitely try it out if you live in the area or want to try something new :). read more

I go here often, almost every 2 weeks. I got my fiancé hooked and I meet the town moms there from school often as well. We can go there and eat and drink like kings and it will never cost more then $25 each. BEST wings around!! also the blue cheese on the side I could drink..They know us and greeted happily every time we come in...The whole staff is great. They make fabulous martinis. I just don't know where to start with this review so I will start at the beginning. After seeing recommendations for this place on my town's mom and dad FB page saying that even though this is a bar, it is family friendly I decided to give it a shot. I mean how can I pass up award winning wings? I do want to say, regardless of the rest of my review the staff here was super friendly and appropriately attentive. As for the family friendly part, this place is indeed a bar. A pretty busy one at that, and while they do have a half wall of separation you cannot get away from the bar atmosphere. I do not suggest bringing the kids. We sat at our table and immediately I saw the 'yuck/gross' look on my neat freak hubby's face. The table was filthy. Definitely needed a cleaning it was sticky. We started with a couple of drafts. Coors Light for me and Stella for him. It is a BAR, so I was expecting for at least the beer to be good. Um, no! They must be out of CO2 or there is something wrong with their system because both beers were completely flat. Since I am not a sender backer, I lived through it. I mean they have award winning wings, right? Onto the appetizer. We got a combo of those wings, poppers, and mozzarella sticks for the boy. While the poppers and sticks were good, the wings actually were pretty good. I wouldn't call them award winning, but they do have a solid wing. This is were the praise ends for the rest of the meal. Hubby ordered fish and chips, and we both couldn't stop looking at the dish when it was set down wondering if they know what fish and chips are. Generally speaking the fish is usually an nice fat piece of cod, dipped in a flour batter and fried to perfection. What he got was I believe tilapia fillets, bread crumb battered and fried. Not good. I ordered the Shepard's pie, which is one of my faves. In a pub, it has to be good right? It was in the favorites section of the menu. Well it looked good when they put it down in front of me, but wow was it bad. Clearly the peas and carrots were a frozen bag and the meat was kind of weird. Some was chopped meat and some was big pieces. After stirring it up, I realized that was because it was a broken up frozen hamburger patty. It was watery and gray and not the rich thick brown stew that it should be.It just lacked any flavor whatsoever. I was extremely disappointed. I think what put me over the edge was my husband opened the bottle of ketchup to put on his fries and it literally exploded when he opened it. It was disgusting. From working in the restaurant business for years it is common practice to condense your ketchup bottles at the end of the night. In this case this bottle was probably added to too many times and the ketchup had all air bubbles and smelled bad. In addition when he took the cap of it was caked with old ketchup. Nasty. Overall, I guess if you drink bottle beer and stay at the bar and only eat wings, you should be good. read more

This is an overall awesome establishment. The beers are cold and taps are serviced and fresh, the food is made to order with a wide variety and always great. As a lunch customer, the lunch menu is awesome and well priced and the staff is always friendly and inviting. The warm environment provides a feeling of a home in a local bar feel with plenty of tvs and a updated juke box. Plenty of bar seating as well as a dining area. Passing by regularly, we finally decided to check it out. With Yelp's four-stars average, we expected something very good. The service was very pleasant but they were clearly overwhelmed as the server had little knowledge of the menu itself. Three of the beers (intriguing ones) on the menu were no longer sold or sold-out. They forgot to place my soup request so I passed on it. We were only a few minutes into our nachos when the main meals were served. The food was less than average although the Cassidy nachos were pretty darn good. Burger was fresh but not cooked like requested and the eggplant panini had little taste. This is probably best as a local bar that serves OK bar snacks. Nothing more than that. read more
