I went in for chlorine refills and was met with an angry older man on the phone during my visit. He refilled the jugs and started telling me how one of them needed another cap but they don't make them anymore. While it was not a new jug, I just tightened on the lid so I knew it was working fine. I was not interested in buying a new jug. That started this man down a path which he yelled and cursed at me until I left his store. Yes, I paid for the chemicals while being told to F- off. I respect an independent business owner but when you treat customers like this, you deserve a vacant store with no customers. That is the story here with almost nothing in the vacant store. I see other reviews were positive but I question how anyone can have a positive experience here. There is no value since the chlorine price is similar to others in the area. He was clear he didn't care about my business, while bragging about telling me off to whoever he was on the phone and came off as a bitter and angry man.

They are supposed to clean the pool when necessary. My pool is green but I guess that's not considered necessary. My navigator has not worked since last week, but he didn't even get close to it to be able to see if it was working. If he spent 10.minutes in my property, I think I'm being generous. My pool kept having lots of issues. We had cascading calcium falling off the walls of my pool which has irreparably damaged the new finish (this was caused by them not managing my PH. It was at 8.6 when I finally got it tested; it should be 7.4-7.6) To constant algae issues which had me cleaning the filter every few days to keep the pool clear. Finally I decided to have the water tested at my local pool store. I needed $90 worth of salt, stabilizer, and acid just to get my pool back to normal. I fired them after this. Since taking over my own pool and properly checking the chemical balance I have had no issues. Their tech only uses the instant strips to check, snd they never seems to want to add the chemicals it actually needs, instead they seem to favor just adding more chlorine (probably cause it's cheap). My Mom also has used them for over a year, and has ended their relationship today as well for the same reasons. Her salt level was at 2000 when it should be at 3000-3400. Did they add salt? Nope, just poured chlorine into a salt water pool and not fixing the actual problem. She needed $80 worth of chemicals to get it back to normal. If you have a salt water pool do not hire them. If you have a chlorine pool maybe that's ok since they love adding chlorine.

I called Malibu Pools to see if they could help me quickly because I was worried the pool could get a lot worse. They came out and added the necessary chemicals; upon closer inspection, they recommended an acid wash to mitigate more damage and problems in the future. I'm SO glad I took their advice! WOW! The pool has never looked better, and I now have them maintaining the pool! Now all I have to do is enjoy and relax!!!
