First of all, I like to say I'm not one to complain about much. However, today, I have no choice. I've been using Village Pool for years until this morning that I discovered that I'm pay well over $100 for their pool guy to come and just pour 2 5 gallons of chlorine without testing the water. They are supposed to clean the pool when necessary. My pool is green but I guess that's not considered necessary. My navigator has not worked since last week, but he didn't even get close to it to be able to see if it was working. If he spent 10.minutes in my property, I think I'm being generous. I cancelled my service as of today and will no longer be using them. Best of luck. read more

I used Village Spa & Pool for awhile to service my pool after I had them install a new pump at my house. The work done on the pump was good, however the ongoing weekly service was lazy. My pool kept having lots of issues. We had cascading calcium falling off the walls of my pool which has irreparably damaged the new finish (this was caused by them not managing my PH. It was at 8.6 when I finally got it tested; it should be 7.4-7.6) To constant algae issues which had me cleaning the filter every few days to keep the pool clear. Finally I decided to have the water tested at my local pool store. I needed $90 worth of salt, stabilizer, and acid just to get my pool back to normal. I fired them after this. Since taking over my own pool and properly checking the chemical balance I have had no issues. Their tech only uses the instant strips to check, snd they never seems to want to add the chemicals it actually needs, instead they seem to favor just adding more chlorine (probably cause it's cheap). My Mom also has used them for over a year, and has ended their relationship today as well for the same reasons. Her salt level was at 2000 when it should be at 3000-3400. Did they add salt? Nope, just poured chlorine into a salt water pool and not fixing the actual problem. She needed $80 worth of chemicals to get it back to normal. If you have a salt water pool do not hire them. If you have a chlorine pool maybe that's ok since they love adding chlorine. read more

They did not come and clean/service the pool weekly and still charged us. Never tested the chlorine in the pool, just poured the whole bottle in. read more

I have been dealing with Village Spa & pools for about maybe 15 to 20 years. I'm not exactly sure but a long time. I have a lap pool that is old too. My pool is 22,000 gallons, 12' wide and 50' long. They have been there for every time I was in need. They did delivers and now that I am old they take complete care of the chemicals, putting them into the pool plus other maintains. Steven and his dad are wonderful people. They are a great pool company that I would recommend to all my pool owning friends and acquaintances. read more

First of all, I had this service for more than 3 years. the first few years everything was perfect, my other pool was older and more difficult than the one I gave you one and half year ago. the owners are professionals, who know the business. the first two years they sent me a young boy who had the pool like a very blue glass. From last year I had many problems including coming service problems,the argument was if the person came, if he did not come, my pool does not smell of chlorox, is almost green, the service quality is not the same as two years ago. The person who coming to service the pool made me look like a liar on two occasions because I asked the store if he had come in since in a week the pool looks the same. He argued with me on the phone and he left me a card on the floor in front of the patio door with the date of the day he came and the pool looks the same as it did three weeks ago. I cancel the service in the middle of the month and they can keep the money. When an owner believes a worker more than a three-year-old customer who has always paid, the business already declines. I have nothing more to say. Thank you for the past two years of service. and thanks for charging me for nothing for about 6-7 months. Don't even call me. Anyways the guy you send me said me once in Spanish that the owner don't bother if a customer cancel or not the service because they had a lot of pools serviced and they don't need any more customers. Well, if is true, is my money and is important for me, also my pool is important. Thanks again. The service provided for my pool was a complete waste of time and money. When I went to complaint they were rude and disrespectful. They should be investigated by the better business bureau. Stay away from Village Spa & Pool; because they are either crooks or don't know what they are doing. I recently moved into the neighborhood and I am a first time pool owner so I went there to setup monthly service since it was a little green. The owner sent over one of his men the next day and he stated I needed to pay an initial $70 as well as the monthly fee up front. This did not sound outrageous so I paid the man. Two weeks had passed and the pool was worse than when I hired these frauds. I had called after a week to complain and the owner gave me excuses saying it might take some time but by the two week mark the pool looked like pea soup. I called again to tell the owner that something was wrong in that my pool was worse than when I hired him. His response was that I needed to empty the pool. I complained that I paid $70 based on his man's evaluation and that he should have advised me that the pool needed to be emptied from the beginning. His next response was that I should find a new pool service and hung up on me. I called back to demand a refund of the two weeks service that I had not used and he said he would refund only one week and if I didn't like it I could sue him. I advised him that he needed to work on his customer service skills and that either his man was lying to him, he was lying to me or his chemical supplier sold him useless chlorine; because it was impossible that two weeks of service would leave me worse off than when I started with him. In summary, I had someone else come by that same day and by the next day my pool was already blue and to make matters worse he stopped payment on his partial refund. I repeat, stay away from Village Spa & Pool; because they don't know what they are doing. read more
