This place is a rip off. They do procedures that are not necessary and then the insurance refuses to pay. So you're stuck paying because they send it to a collection agency. That's what happened to my husband. For me I apparently had a credit on there book for over a year and they sent you a letter and give to 30 days to respond or they dispose of the money. Had a horrible tooth ache, was told the office took cash payments. $60 dollars. If you don't have dental insurance the only thing you will get from this visit is an xray to tell you what's causing the pain that's it. No remedy to fix the pain in your teeth unless you have thousands of dollars. No payment options or even a offer of resolution to address your pain. Just keep this in mind if you don't have insurance. You will pay this office $60 dollars to leave with the same pain you came in with. One of the Worst Dental Offices - Avoid Castle Dental Conroe! I've had an incredibly frustrating experience with Castle Dental in Conroe. They do not answer phone calls, and worse, they don't return them either. They cancelled my appointment via voicemail, but then continued to send confirmation texts as if it were still scheduled. I showed up for the appointment, only to find the doors locked. No warning, no signage -- nothing. This kind of disorganization and lack of communication is completely unacceptable, especially for a healthcare provider. Beware of CASTLE Dental! We experienced horrible service and poor dental care. My 81-year-old Mom went there for a root canal and crown. Both fell out leaving her in pain. She tried for months to resolve the issue, and no one would return her phone calls. When she finally spoke to the billing specialist, after call three days in a row, Marty, she left her on hold for more than 30 minutes two different times only to come back and tell her she could not come back to Castle. That she discussed with the dentist and they were dissolving the relationship for non-payment. We have heard from several friends in the Conroe area that they too had a negative experience at Castle dental. Do yourself a favor and do not go! Remember you get what you pay for and Castle dental not only charges too much for the services $$$$$ the dental care is unsatisfactory, and the customer service is awful. We plan to report to the Better Business Bureau to keep this from happening to others. read more

The support staff is absolutely horrible. Why would you have an automated system that no one monitors nor return any phone calls? My mom's dentures was there for three whole weeks we called multiple times every week trying to get someone to respond to our call. No one never did had to drive from the Woodlands to Conroe to find out that her dentures was there for three whole weeks and no one thought to give her a call Totally unprofessional and unacceptable. Why waste your time or money going to a dentist who does not care to treat you properly? I'm a cash paying patient, and all because I wouldn't allow them to remove my tooth, which obviously pays them most, he decides to give me the standard antibiotics and anti-inflammatory treatment. Never providing enough Ibuprofen because as per his office staff, I can just go spend triple the amount on the over the counter 200mg and take a load of pills! So he won't authorize a refill. Hello, that's his medical duty! Properly treat the patient who paid to see you. Where has this medical professional even tried to help me? I'm having lots of pain and inflammation, I asked for a mouth wash and was denied, unless I spent another $60 to be seen again only 1 week later. It's the same toothache! Medical professionals are the biggest joke on earth. Garlic, cloves and salt water have been the true medicine. The day will come when all greed will wipe out what they think they've succeeded in. After haggling me for 1 hour about flossing and pushing extra exams, they charged my insurance an exam fee but told me I'd have to come back to have the actual cleaning done. My daughter was nervous about her cleaning since it was a gingivitis cleaning, not a phophy . Tammy was very good and took the time with her. I've never had such an amazing experience. I have a high dental phobia and I just want to say that after walking in being scared about IV sedation, I left after 20 mins feeling amazing. 7 hours later and I'm not in any pain but soreness which has never happened. I have been trying to get my partials repaired which is covered under warranty. I made an appointment and set around 1 hour and 1/2 and still didn't see Dr. Escobar. This has been a horrible experience with Castle Dental, it took approximately 1 year to get my partial made, now that the clasp and tooth has broken off I cant event get in to see the dentist. I will never ever recommend this office or dentist. I will be contacting my Insurance company re: this problem. read more

I had such a terrible experience at this location. Do not go here. Multiple times they have given me false quotes over the phone only to find out I'm paying something different when I go up there. I had a bill of $1,600 and qualified for $1,100 of their credit system and was eligible to make monthly payments. They insisted I had to pay the full $1,600 and I'd also have to make monthly payments in addition to that. I'm not sure how when I'm eligible to make $1,100 in monthly payments. When I asked about it and said that doesn't make any sense, they shrugged. The front desk staff are very unhelpful. I know not all locations are like this but this place is absolutely awful. They couldn't even send over my basic dental file to another Castle Dental and insisted they didn't have a record of me. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. The first visit, the dentist didn't even look at my mouth before deciding on a treatment plan. I scheduled an appt for follow up anyways. I had an emergency that was before my scheduled appt and attempted to call (26 times) to try and be seen. The majority of the calls went unanswered. When someone would answer, I was placed on hold before the call disconnected. I left messages with the answering service as well, no call backs even 24 hours later at this point. I ended up going to dentist out of my network that got me fixed up, choosing to pay out of pocket than deal with this office. When I called today to cancel my appt coming up, as it's been taken care of, there was zero empathy and no explanation for the issues I encountered. This dentist's office says they are within my network, Delta Dental PPO and my insurance company said they are in network. I went in for a routine cleaning and even before they would even see in they needed me to pay $97 (thats non members price!) Delta Dental said that this practice has SOME doctors that are in the network and some doctors that are NOT in network, and that it was possible I was seen by someone who is not within the network. I've paid it but I have definitely called my insurance company and will proceed to file a grievance if possible. read more

spent a lot of money for dental procedures that did not work. I have had a bridge done several times they all break and fall out. So I have spent thousands of dollars on this bridge. Now they want me to redo a partial and pay over 600.00 to get a tooth pulled, and pay 200.00 in lab frees for the partial. So I am paying 700.00 for a partial that I can not even use. Went in for cleaning special for 29.00 after getting X-rays from pre war machine that looked liked something from the matrix I was given a treatment plan. I said I was just here for the cleaning and don't have any tooth problems. They said you will have to schedule another appointment for that which will be a deep cleaning at 900.00 . I have always had my teeth cleaned every 6 months the only reason I went here is the 29 price. So as always if it sounds to good to be true it usually is. read more

I'm sitting in the Castle Dental on Hwy. 290 waiting for my wife to get a root canal. The people in the Conroe store were suppossed to leave something called scavenger toobing that the Doctor requested to use on my wife to deliver the nitrous. Guess what's not here for the doc to use, that's right scavenger toobing! I think the brainless wonder who forgot, needs to go back to dental kindergarten. Some people have a hard time with dental visits and need the extra comfort. A fact that didn't seem to matter to one of Castle Dentals employees. I hope that person doesn't find themselves in the same sitiuation so that their spouse doesn't have the outrage I have at this time. Way to go braintrust! First didn't fit and had to argue with dentist to remake. Second set was even worse and even the dentist acknowledged they were poorly done. I had a great experience there!! Dr. Griffin is the oral surgeon who took my wisdom teeth out in April. The office was a little stacked and the surgery was a little late but they were incredibly sweet and really concerned for us, and my main concern was a comfortable and safe experience, and they/she gave that to me!! I have been a patient for 8 years now. Much has changed for the better. The office staff is great and the current dentist is good and my hygienist is wonderful (ragjha? the sweet lady from Iran). The extensive work I have had has been good quality. I have never had to wait much past my appointment time. Normally they are punctual but just as anywhere unexpected delays can occur.
