I spent nearly $7,000 at Spring Smile Dental and was shocked by the lack of professionalism I experienced. When I picked up my partial, it was handed to me with no instructions, no aftercare kit, and no container I had to go back just to get a case. During my two extractions, the assistant, Marrisa, was having a full conversation with another staff member while I was choking on saliva and blood, receiving little to no help. This happened multiple times and felt completely unprofessional and unsafe. I was told my pain medication and antibiotics would be called in, but when I went to the pharmacy, no prescriptions had been sent. After speaking with Marrisa hours later, I was still left without the medication I needed just minutes before the pharmacy closed. I would not recommend this office. The care, communication, and attention to patients are unacceptable, especially after paying such a high amount. read more

Now I was told when I got it that crowns had a 5 year warranty but ONLY IF I came back to see this dentist every 3 months for a deep cleaning. As you can tell from my previous review, there's no way that was happening. So I now unfortunately have to pay for an entirely new crown from another dentist in less than 2 years. I recently had to have some teeth extracted and I was very very nervous about the whole thing. I knew I was going to have to be sedated with IV. I was nervous because I had never meet the dental surgeon before and was not able to before hand . The day of my surgery the surgeon sat with me awhile before hand and got to meet me and go over everything . This made me feel so much more better . The surgeon was gentle when doing my Iv . He then put an eye mask over my eyes and I was out . This dental surgeon I would recommend to anyone who needs their teeth or tooth pulled . This is all he does all day long . His name is ZHU . He speaks very good clear English and cares about his patients. He will check on you back and forth via text messaging. He is good at this . His assistant is a female and she is so sweet dental and kind . She is the one who gives you gas and makes sure your good during procedure . It's done like a hospital setting. ZHU travels to different offices in spring , woodland and Houston area . So he is at this location in spring once a month . read more

I went here for their 60$ new patient teeth cleaning. When I first arrived for my appointment there were issues because I chose to opt out of their privacy policy due to all the data breaches going on lately and apparently they had never experienced anyone doing that. It took them 30 minutes to figure out how to bypass their computer systems in order to allow me to be seen. After that fiasco they then took x-rays and sat me down to give me an exam. During this exam they told me I had a cracked tooth, a cavity, a major bacterial infection, periodontal disease, and needed a deep cleaning with lazer treatment. They then brought in the front desk girl while I was in the operating room to discuss pricing (they refused to give me pricing over phone before the visit) the whole set up gave me the feeling of a car dealership where they are trying to sell you. They then told me it would be $5200.00 yep... thats right. Went in for a cleaning to get told 5k+. So I decided to get a second opinion and left. They didn't give me my copy of the x-rays and when I called the next day to have them email them to me they never responded back. A week later I went to another local dentist that has been in business for 40+ years. They had to of course redo my x-rays since spring smiles dental group never got back with me. They did an exam and come to find out. NO cavity, NO cracked tooth (it was a groove to the tooth) NO bacterial infection and guess what I didn't even need a deep cleaning!. I got a debridement done there and with the x-rays it was $380 total. I usually never write bad reviews but I feel the need to warn others about smiles dental group off of 2920. I wouldnt recommend going there unless you want to get scammed and ripped off. Oh and couldn't the dentists get in trouble for saying someone has a major bacterial infection and then not even offering antibiotics? Smh yall have been warned.. Communication and Compassion are seriously lacking. When I went in complaining of a tooth ache, you better believe they were communicative and concerned. As soon as I paid and the tooth was pulled, their quality care has been downhill from there. Not to mention that it was suggested I skip the gas. As it turns out, he struggled getting it out quickly leaving me regretting the advice that I wasn't going to need it. Second, I was told I needed an RX only to have the pharmacist tell me nothing was called in. They checked twice. I called annoyed that I even had to call about this only to be told that it was and the rinse was canceled because I was allergic to an ingredient. Why is this annoying? Because no one could call me to even tell me this. To top it off, Topher, the office manager, or whatever his title is was incredibly condescending on the phone with me. He didn't understand my frustration for having to play these guessing games about why my prescriptions weren't filled. Please learn how to speak to patients that are extremely uncomfortable from the pain of treatment. You should understand my position. I have been in this Dental Group for eight (8) yrs. for quarterly perio maintenance. On December 11, 2024 I had a comprehensive dental exam with Dr. ELIZABETH LIU. She found out that one of my tooth need a crown which eventually on same day I had my crown on. After my crown on, the Hygienist BETHAN PONCIN did the cleaning, Oral Cancer Screening; and Saliva Test. After all these works they did to me Dr. Elizabeth Liu prescribed me an amoxicillin and Metronidazole. It cost too much money from my pocket just to save your teeth. The issue starts from that day when I have my crown on, I experienced pain, too sensitive both hot and cold. After I finished all my medications I went back to the office on January 2nd 2025 complaining to Dr. Elizabeth Liu, she did an x-ray and made an adjustment on my crown. After what she did to me on January 2nd nothing change at all, the pain continue. She did messed up on putting the crown on. Very disappointed with her service. They're all very patient with you, ask as many questions necessary and they will be sure to answer. I truly appreciated how well Jennifer broke down my benefits for what was covered and what was not. I had an issue with a crown that was put in by the previous dentist/owner of this clinic. After getting the run around for months I was frustrated with an issue that I was told was my fault. Turns out that Dr. Joyce Yu was in the process of buying this clinic. After following up with the new office manager they agreed to let me come in at no cost to finally address the issue. Because my chart was still in the system they saw the issue and offered to fix it at no cost. Dr. Yu was not obligated to fix a previous doctor's poor work but she did. She was honest and explained every step in the process. I've been going to this office for close to a decade and I watched it go downhill. They plain LIED!! and said that because of my insurance, they could only do one side of the mouth per day. They claimed they rather do half of my mouth only so they could do a "better job". Ha! Bottom line, it appears that their time is more precious than mine because they cannot stay an extra half an hour to complete the job, but I have to take more time off of work if I wanted a FULL CLEAN MOUTH!! Additionally, they were way more expensive than other locations and would have cost me literally 10 times what I paid at previous dentists for similar procedures. The front desk lady was friendly, as was the 'benefits administrator' who contacted my insurance company to figure out the financials. That is where the problems began. For routine "basic" teeth cleaning, my co-pay was quoted as $298. I was recommended the "deep cleaning", and rightly so, as I hadn't been to a dentist in over 12 months. So for this 'deep cleaning' I was then quoted $733 after insurance paid its share! I normally get my teeth cleaned in Europe or HKG, and they've always charged me a flat rate, about one-seventh that of what was quoted to me at this scam-shop known as Spring Smiles! My recommendation is that you shop around for better rates until you find a dentist who charges more ethical rates and worries less about up-selling and price-inflating! With my dentist in California and I'm in Texas suffice it to say when I flossed after Texas BBQ I forgot and pulled my temporary off. A very pleasant first appointment today. The staff was professional and friendly. A piece of my crown had broken off and they presented all options to me. They did not try to force the most expensive one. I love the fact that they can do one day crown service. All of their equipment is modern and up-to-date. No biting down on a piece of cardboard to do bitewing x-rays. The doctor was reviewing my digital x-rays in his office as they were being taken. When they cleaned my teeth, they used a power scaler and not the old-fashioned instrument that scrapes the teeth. It was very quick. read more

I am new to the area and I had scheduled an appointment in July to have my teeth cleaned, when I arrived they insisted that I had to have X-rays. Over the past year I have visited 3 different dental professionals whom had taken extensive X-rays for several procedures, so I asked if there was any way I could just proceed with the teeth cleaning and they once again insisted that X-rays were necessary. This was frustrating for me for several reasons. 1.) I just needed my bi-annual teeth cleaning. 2.) I had 3 sets of X-rays at different offices in both FL and TX that they didn't seem to care about. 3.) My aetna dental insurance wouldn't cover another set of X-rays. 4.) we all know even the low dosage of radiation that X-rays emit can be harmful. 5.) It sounds silly but I have a tiny mouth where even the children's X-ray bites are excruciating to use, my gums bleed and my eyes tear up. I tried to explain the above to the office and they led me to believe they would attempt to get my X-rays from my previous dentists. I have since left a voicemail each month (Sept-Dec) and never received a return phone call. Today a lady answered and said immediately that they were not able to get the X-rays because of Hippa. (Not true since I was able to authorize my previous dentist in Tx to receive my X-rays from FL). I asked which dentist they contacted and she had no clue. I told her I would have loved to receive a call when that was concluded so that I could assist in getting the X-rays. She said they could only receive them through email. And pretty much had the tone in her voice to drop dead- they didn't care about my business... So here I am in December simply wanting to get my teeth cleaned one more time on my insurance and I will have to find a more efficient, cooperative, professional, and honest dental provider. It has been a long time since I have been in a dentist office. Luckily I choose to come here. They were kind and helpful through my entire appointment. So I will break down my experience. Since I was a new patient I came in to get my teeth x-ray and examined due to my wisdom teeth. I talked with Daniel Krenz in his office about my teeth and he had one of his dental assistants take me to the x-ray room. She was very helpful with the x-ray and was gentle with the tools that I had to bite on for the x-ray procedure. Afterwards I was escorted to the exam room where Dr. Krenz would go over the x-rays and problem spots in my mouth. He would also explain all the options and processes for each procedure. Once everything was explained to me the main question I had to ask was the cost of it all. Dr. Krenz was more than happy to send Ellen, one of his employees to come and crunch numbers for me. She was very thorough with showing me what the cost were, and what my insurance would cover and how much would come out of my own pocket. Ellen went above and beyond in terms of help. She would go over all the bases for payment plans and cost. Once most of the financial stuff was done and I knew what I was going to spend, it was time to get to my actual teeth. So the first thing that was done was to clean and treat my gums. I was escorted t another room where my cleaning would be done. Dr. Krenz came in to administer the shots to help numb the bottom of my mouth during the treatment. Getting shots in the mouth seems like it would be the worst thing ever, but it was surprisingly not as bad as I imagined. Once my mouth was numb they began to clean and treat my gums. They did a very good job as I never experienced any pain or discomfort. The entire process went by pretty quickly. Overall I had a great experience at Spring Smiles Dental Group. I've had the worst luck when dealing with dentist & i have to admit each time we went in I was waiting to forjustthat, but not at Spring Smiles! Believe it or not my 13yo daughter always looks forward to her brace adjustment appointment! Receptionists and assistants were rude and condescending..barely acknowledged our presence when we arrived. Overheard some staff members speaking poorly about another patient in the hallway. Per telephone conversation with office manager the reason for negative attitude was due to the fact that there was no music playing in the background so the overall mood was different. The excuse is laughable. We all have bad days but when you're at work it is expected that you leave your personal issues at the door. Do not come here. My boyfriend and I moved to the area and found this dental office. On the first visit, you notice the office is very modern and clean. They urge you to take Xrays (even if you recently had them done by another dentist; don't worry, they "won't charge"). Even though they advertise cleaning for $59, our bill per (mostly covered by insurance) was a multiple of that (per person). I don't want to bother fighting with insurance (especially if I didn't pay, sorry insurance) so I let it go. I see another yelper had a similar experience. I was fine after my first visit. My boyfriend had an infection that started that night. Gross! The next day, he went back and they gave him a prescription. Needless to say, he did not return. I figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt. I went back for my 2nd visit - everything was fine. 3rd visit - I had an appointment set up for months. 1 month before, they call to reschedule because the dentist was no longer working Fridays. I reschedule with another dentist on a Friday. 1 week before my appointment, they call again trying to reschedule my appointment. I've been trying to call back to reschedule - their phone keeps going to voicemail. I've tried every 2-3 hours over the past 24 hours - nothing!!! This dentist office is 1) pushy with services, 2) unclear about pricing, 3) bad with keeping appointments, and 4) extremely hard to get a hold of. read more

Although the dentist himself was perfectly nice, and everything during the visit went as smoothly as it could have. I never saw a hygienist, the dentist took care of me the whole time and was perfectly nice. However, my filling was done incorrectly. Which it happens, so I wasn't upset about it. What I am upset about has to do with how my problem is being dealt with. I called and spoke to whoever answered the phone to discuss my problem and asked if there was an available appointment sometime next week. Because my tooth has really been bothering me. She said there weren't any appointments available and maybe if I call back on Wednesday someone might have cancelled. She really didn't seem to care! The entire staff is friendly and helpful. The receptionist was friendly and greeted me promptly when I arrived, which was a pleasant surprise as most receptionist now a days are too busy on the phone or looking at their screen to pay attention to who comes in much less acknowledge customers. She even knew another a customer by name when he walked in. The benefits coordinator thoroughly explained costs, and answered all of my questions. I was impressed by the X-ray technician Johanna. She was super professional and friendly, she shook my hand and introduced herself by name as well explaining the X Ray process. The dentist and dental assistant were of the same high caliber.
