We chose Restore Your Door to refinish our kitchen cabinets after looking at several options which included replacing all the cabinets. I had Marvin with Restore Your Door to come look at our cabinets to see if refinishing the wood cabinets would be a good option. I am so glad I did. The cabinets are just beautiful and I could not be more pleased with their work. Returning customer not impressed. The gentleman who picked up my door seemed annoyed when I didn't want interior done on top of the $450 exterior job I asked for. I verified that they would still clean and polish the interior as the past 2017 invoice suggested, and he assured me it was part of the job. Today, they just returned a dirty door. Didnt even wipe the dirt from the corners let alone polish! Very disappointed to have to clean and polish the interior myself today after paying $482 for exterior. Not good business practice, in my opinion. I wish I could post pictures. read more

Same price to paint as it is to stain! I don't think so. I asked why and he stopped communication, nice. All that took a week from original inquiry to last text. Had our door done by this company with multi-layer Spar Varnish. They came, removed all hardware, took the door, put in a non-opening temporary door, and a week later we got back a much better than new, perfectly color matched front door. The work they did on our Rec Center doors was AMAZING. The doors are beautiful look very classy. How the Rec Center was secured while they had the doors was great and effective. They restored the doors very quickly. After-sales support is absolutely awful. We had some damage done do the doors that needs to be repaired. And we also have work on other doors at the Rec Center that needs to be done and they keep saying they will set a schedule and they have not for many months. If we get support, I'll gladly update this post, otherwise it will stand as is. read more

I had my front doors (double-doors with opaque glass), completely refinished by Restore Your Door. When the guy came back to reinstall the doors, he dropped it and it put a hole in my wall. They had to repair the wall, and luckily, I was in the middle of painting and was able to paint over the repair. However, they actually griped about having to repair it in the first place. Anyway, Since the refinishing, the door hardware is loose and light can be seen between the doors. I wouldn't recommend this contractor, or at least wouldn't recommend paying until the job is done to complete satisfaction. read more

RYD responded quickly and their service, pricing and quality of work was excellent. Be care of what they tell (sell) you. The told (sold) us two things. First restore the door. Second, replace the weather stripping to seal the door from exterior air. In my humble opinion, YES, they do a great job restoring the door (their primary service). It looks great - period. Yet, NO, they don't do a great job in weather stripping. The door seal is actually WORST and what I had done (with my $10 approach from the DIY store). After I complained, they had 1,000 excuses (like to "asked for this"... really, like who asks for poor service; and your door jab is off - well you are the door expert... why did you commit to fixing it). All I wanted from them was to honor what they told (sold) me. Well, they didn't. in the end, I didn't pay them for the poor service. Yet, they should not have told (sold) me that they "can do better" than what I had. So, in simple terms... just have them restore the door... and do the weather stripping yourself (with $10 from your DIY store). read more

We have been looking to have our front door refinished and did some research on line. We found restoreyourdoor.com and decided to call Marvin. We are very happy that we made that decision!! Marvin was true professional...he arrived at the promised time and he returned the door as committed. The quality of the work is amazing and we have heard nothing but compliments from our neighbors. The shop is in Houston, for those not in Houston, so please plan accordingly. Our door was gone for 5 days but we understood that upfront. In addition, the replacement door does not open so you will need to use an alternate entrance. We have some book cases to restore and will be using them for that work as well. read more

They did a fabulous job on our front door at our old house that we just sold. They took the door with & put in a matching "temporary" stationary door (can't use it) to secure premises. They also restored the satellites in place. They also replaced 1 of the panes of glass that was previously broken on the satellite. Lol - a few weeks later, closer to us putting house on market, we decided to have them restore 3 interior doors that had been damaged (scratched up horribly) by the previous owner's dog & was poorly repaired, plus our puppy made them even worse. The doors looked absolutely beautiful. They even matched the custom stain (little flecks of black) perfectly. I thought there pricing was very reasonable. Their installer was really nice. Had I known about them sooner, I would have restored my front door years ago. BONUS: They will go all over south TX. Houston area is home base, but they'll goto South to Lake Jackson, West-San Antonio, East-Beaumont, North-Dallas read more

They installed new front doors on our home and replaced two sets of garden doors with giant custom made picture windows looking out on our view.
