So I sent him a message telling him he wasted a lot of my time and his response is he forgot?? I hired Castle Floors to repair and refinish very old hardwood floors in a rental unit in San Francisco. I do not live in California so I had to manage the job remotely. I recently renovated my large, old house and I hired Carlos and Kevin to do the floors after considering several other vendors. I am extremely pleased with the quality of my floors. It was a big job and I was initially concerned that Castle's small team would be a disadvantage. The opposite turned out to be true: they were more focused and went the extra mile. One example was when one of my appliances no longer fit after the new floor they installed in the kitchen. They modified the feet of the appliance so it would fit perfectly in the spot. Who else would do that to make sure everything was just right. One tricky part of this job is that I had four wood varieties (fir, maple, white oak and red oak). Carlos and Kevin worked meticulously to find the right color of stain that would unify the look. I couldn't be happier with the result. The floors get oohs and ahs from everyone who walks in the door. In the end, redoing my floors was not cheap, but the work that Castle did was well worth every penny! Castle Floors did it again! Slam dunk on the floors in our new home. The previous owner had most of the floors covered with area rugs and when they moved out, it was apparent why. I have used Carlos for three different jobs. The most recent job was not installing 900 ft.² of LVP flooring. He always does an impeccable job and is really easy to work with communicates really well via text or phone and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again. He looks at the job and is very upfront with what may cost a little bit more if there are problems with the floors, especially with respect to leveling. I also used Carlos in an old house in Berkeley to renovate all the old oak wood floors.
