They were 25 year old custom cabinets so the cases were good but we asked Ian to redo all the drawer boxes to make them soft close. Everything was accurate and quality materials. We restained one bathroom and Ian did a great job of creating a color that worked with the existing flooring. He brought samples and was willing to tweak to get it just right. We couldn't get a stain color either of us liked for the primary bath, so he made all new fronts in addition to the drawer boxes. We had a new walnut kitchen and he selected a very nice walnut sheet and grain matched everything. I wanted flush mount tab hardware that had to be routed in which isn't simple, but it worked perfectly. He did several rounds of varnish so we could get the color to match the kitchen. Throughout the entire process isn't was flexible and committed to doing everything right. The installation was easy--they came and removed all the fronts and drawers and after the work was completed, they sanded and stained the cases and installed the cabinet doors and drawers. One door was a little off kilter and Ian returned quickly to adjust it. His installation team was very good and careful about masking off the mirrors, counter, and floor so everything was protected and they cleaned up when done. Overall a really top notch job (we had a referral from a neighbor whose refinished cabinets were beautifully done by Ian and his team) and I would highly recommend their work and would absolutely hire them again for another job.

My clients contacted Roberto while we were prepping their house for sale. He resurfaced the kitchen sink to look white and beautifully clean and did it for a reasonable price. During the sale which was a moth later, something chipped the sink. He came back right away and said that they don't give warranties for the sinks but he would repair it out of courtesy. I noticed a stain in a circle area in the bottom of the tub this tub in my house would've been the third time they came out once for the original re-glazing second because I had this problem and he came out and I wasn't home and not sure what he did but it was fixed when I called this year took a picture. The owner sent it to the tech who said it was a stain, and there was some special cleaner that they would tell me what it was or maybe I could buy it at Home Depot. I haven't heard back from them and I haven't followed up yet. What I was told was that water is pooling in this area and then I should just wipe it dry after each use which makes no sense to me after further research. It seems like there's a little dip in there to hold the water, so I'm not sure why they shouldn't come out and just make it a little more level rather than that one area again the owner or the manager very nice but disappointed that the answer is I just have to buy a special cleaner and dry the bathtub each time I use it. I would rate it to fly from the first time a three because they had to come out again before the warranty was up and now this time telling me just to get a special cleaner, I don't know that I would use them again.

Mike never sent it. Instead, he replied with a short sentence stating his price, which came in at roughly 2.5X the next highest bid (I've received six bids so far). I call that a "Go Away" bid. I've experienced this before. With residential trades services, I always ask for a short list of key deliverables in writing. If your contractor is pen-shy they will likely reply with a terse "go-away" price. Mike may have legit reasons for his high price and for not emailing me a detailed quote, but there are so many friendlier, more professional (i.e. written, detailed quotes in ten minutes) re-glaziers out there who I can take my business to. BTW: My key deliverables that I wanted in writing - HF Etch, Silane adhesion promoter, Epoxy Primer, and Acrylic final coat. Pretty standard.
