This playground is one of my favorite in the area. It seems to be on the newer side, as the…read moreequipment is in great shape. There's an area for younger kids, and an area for older kids; and both sections have robust options. (That's not always the case!) There's also ample shade here. I cannot stress how delightful that is, especially in the summer. There's an area of musical instruments, which I've seen at a handful of other playgrounds, but, again, it's in pretty great shape here. The sand area is relatively clean. At least for now! It's also close to downtown in case you have any errands you need to do on your way.

This is a very nice playground. It's an interactive space with plenty of different areas to explore…read morefor children that may have different interests. There are musical instruments, swings and multiple structures to climbs, as well as a small sand park area. Many of the structurs have ages printed on them. I would suggest that parents definitely watch smaller kids on some of the structures so they don't hurt themselves. There's a structure with rolling pieces and I would definitely see a kid falling and hurting themselves or getting a finger pinched while moving across. The swingset has swings for different stages and abilities which I love. People form the community gave back to build this wonderful park and it's a great addition to the neighborhood. Be careful walking across the street. The multiple stop signs make drivers impatient and they speed up almost as if to scare you out of the way, despite rushing to another stop sign.

I feel like I'm the only person on Yelp doing this, but I hope someone out there finds it helpful…read more I often have to play 1-on-3 zone defense on my kids when I take them out, so I check out each playground I go to for certain criteria: Number of Exits: I prefer one - way easier to keep a kid from wandering off. Oakland Gardens has three, and two of which are relatively close to the streets. If you have any fleet-footed toddlers in your care, this might not be the best option for you. Population Density: I like less crowded playgrounds, because it is easier to spot your own kids amongst all the other kids present. Oakland Gardens, in all the times I have been there, has been nearly empty. Honestly, I'd like to see a few more kids so that my kids could have a chance to interact and play with different people, but I'll take too few over too many any day of the week. Play Options: Oakland Gardens has plenty. Swings, three different sets of bars and slides in the main area, and a fourth tucked away behind the basketball courts in a separate fenced-in section. The courts feature two full courts with standard height rims, and a third full court with rims at roughly 6-7 feet high (great for younger kids). They have a handball court and another wide, empty area past the basketball courts. Also, the main area has a water sprinkler. The park is designed for kids 5-12 but my 3yo loved it. Just make sure to supervise the young ones and watch those exits! Overall Safety: Very low creep factor, but relatively high running-into-traffic danger. This usually isn't a problem for older kids, but anyone under the age of 5-6 you need to watch very carefully. Just don't glue your face to your cell phone if you bring your kids here.

I have a lot of memories with my kiddos in this park, so this review is particularly sentimental…read more I'm kind of surprised by how empty this park can be. I think it's flying under the radar. It is in pretty good condition, and while it is geared toward a younger audience, there's something for everyone. The equipment includes some ladders, slides, and monkey bars. There are some swings, mostly geared toward younger kids. There's a water pad that's in decent condition. When school isn't in session, there are also tennis courts, squash courts, basketball court, a baseball diamond (on cement)... they are all not in the best shape, but they're certainly usable. I've seen kids and adult groups using them all. There are also some benches and tables if you want to rest, play a chess (chess boards embedded within the table tops), or eat. Down a level are some very overgrown bocce ball courts - they almost feel like relics and aren't quite usable. But there are also more places to walk or sit. And bathrooms!

Maybe because it's directly behind Middle School 67 , so it gets quite a bit of foot traffic and possibly parks department comes in often. Plenty of space for the kids to ride bikes, run, and climb. I know some parents will let their kids is it themselves with the jungle gym, while they catch a quick game of tennis, basketball, or handball. we often come back here if we have an hour for some quick and free fun.

Support this small family owned business! I brought my…read moredaughter here a few weeks back to play. First you make a reservation online and then just come on in at the time you reserved for you can book for 1 hr or one hour and a half I believe. Make sure you have socks I do not believe that they provide you with any and that is pretty much it. There is a parking lot located in the back now there are quite a few businesses so parking may not be so easy however you will find something. Upon walking in we got our temperature checked and she was able to put her shoes in the cubby directly across from check in and get started. There is a small place for kids to be able to sit and eat/ drink if necessary they also do sell drinks and chips at $1 each. The area to play is a decent size not to very big however there's a few different things that they can do. The rock climbing is not really for big kids but a smaller child would have a blast on it. They did have another room that we didn't go into but I think that is where they have classes. The place did seem clean overall and the bathroom was also clean with a changing table. I was able to have a great conversation with the young lady in front and she was kind, informative and so happy to have people around the community coming to support the business in these times.

The indoor playground, complete with zip line and 3 slides is something I have not seen before in these indoor playground places. They have a section where they have tables for the little ones to sit, and I'm guessing that's where they have birthday parties as well. Mindnasium is a local gem for parents! So glad they have open play for the kiddos. Will definitely be bringing him again.
