The giant blue blocks section was so cool, too--the kids built a ton of different things and had a blast destroying them afterward! The old-school phones are always a fun classic, and they absolutely loved the animal section upstairs. Lots of interactive exhibits, play areas and the obligatory climbing structure. Will inevitably be busy like most things on Long Island. Staff is friendly enough however mostly in the background. Good balance of different types of things to do, including a few animals upstairs. The town play set area is very cool, and I love that they have a rotating exhibit space. It was trains when we were there, themed to Thomas the train with both a ton of tracks to play with, as well as life sized Thomas train characters. Had to drag my son out of there, however luckily their gift shop is decent with legitimate toys versus just cheap crap. Would definitely come back here.

Occasionally, the park will hold certain culture nights, on the weekend that I visited they had a Caribbean night out near the amphitheater. A lot of people showed up and it definitely was not a disappointment. They even had a few celebrity, Caribbean singers. A lot of food vendors and arts and craft vendors were out and about making it worthwhile for the visitors. This park holds a lot of history, the memorial site down near the pond is a great place to watch the sunset. Here's a fun fact, Eisenhower State Park is larger than Central Park in Manhattan. If you ever get a chance to visit, I highly recommend. Not to mention there is also a golf course accessible to the public for a small day fee.

It served as an elementary school until two new elementary schools were built in Manhasset and it became a park in the late 1980s. It is the site of most major Manhasset public events including Christmas Tree lighting, Memorial Day and 9/11 ceremonies. Weddings take place in the gazebo occasionally. The children's playground is very popular every day. It is in the center of town by Town Hall, the LIRR station, restaurants and shops. Many people sit there to have a cup of coffee, watch the children play, see their neighbors, or watch the world go by.

It's also wonderful to be able to see a soccer field from the toddlers' playground. It makes it easy to watch older kids play from one convenient location. Thankfully, parking was very easy to access which is such a benefit when there are little ones who are quick to scurry. Plus, traffic is relatively controlled so fast cars aren't swerving by. The only thing I cannot comment on is the state of the bathroom. I didn't have a chance to enter it therefore I have to deduct a star for that unknown element. Such a simple process booking and the appointment was so informative. The two certified techs were so knowledgeable and friendly as they have been doing this for years. It's basically very small and quaint with a gazebo where during the summer there are outdoor concerts, did I mention free?
