Extremely disappointing experience for my child's birthday party…read more I rarely write reviews, but I feel it's important to share this experience so other families know what to expect. We booked our child's birthday party here and it turned out to be one of the most frustrating experiences we've had. From the start, communication and customer service were poor. When we booked, we were told that to receive their 20% discount, the deposit had to be paid by cash or Zelle -- no credit cards accepted. We ended up sending a $300 deposit via Zelle. On the day of the party, we were unexpectedly told to pay the entire $944 up front, even though we had already paid a deposit. The staff said they would "refund" the deposit afterward, which was never clearly explained before. This caused unnecessary stress during setup since we had to gather additional cash right before guests arrived. During the event, there were several issues: We weren't asked to sign waivers until after the kids started playing, which interrupted the start of the party. The laser tag (included in our booking) wasn't ready -- the staff said the equipment was still charging. The staff's attitude was dismissive and unhelpful throughout. After the party ended, we stayed about 30 minutes to clean up the room -- something most places understand is part of the process. The next day, when we asked for our $300 deposit refund, we were told it was being withheld because we "stayed 50 minutes longer." That's unreasonable. We were cleaning up, not extending the party, and the children had mostly left. To make things worse, when we tried to discuss this issue, the staff was rude and unprofessional. The facility itself wasn't well maintained -- we even found garbage in the ball pit. Between the lack of communication, poor management, and the unfair way they handled the deposit, I cannot recommend this business to anyone. There are so many better options that actually value their customers. Spend your money elsewhere -- you'll get better service and less stress.

Weprin playground is a lovely, clean and well maintained playground. We spent a nice couple of hours here and had to peal my nephew off the slides when it was time to go home. There were quite a few benches in shaded areas to sit at while watching the kids play. There's also plenty of open space for scootering or biking. Also, they have a basketball court and handball courts for older kids. Alas, we don't live in the neighborhood otherwise we would be here more often.

Since this place is still fairy new, things are still in good condition the first time we came. The second time we came there was more wear and tear and the canon in the ball pit did not work. However, there is still a lot to keep the little one busy. My kids are on the younger side so they don't play with the smaller toys like the pretend play kitchen and the sensory toys. My kids like the pebble pit. He spent most of this time there. On the downside there are kids who don't follow the rules and throw pebbles around. This one technically has zero as the playground isn't really fenced in: there are trees and bushes to the rear of it, and in front of it are basketball/handball courts and two grassy areas to either side. But because it is so far removed from the street and the benches offer a relatively clear, panoramic view of the entire playground, I feel comfortable taking my three kids here. Population density: I prefer small groups to large crowds, and this fits the bill, as far as the playground itself goes. Only a handful of kids, so it isn't too hard to spot yours. Play options: Very large play area with four slides and a number of things to climb on and over. There are a set of swings off to the left and just beyond the swings is a workout area for adults (or six year olds, if you have a son like mine). A water sprinkler in front of the play area makes for a fun diversion on a hot day, but just be sure to bring towels and flip flops. Overall safety: "Creep" factor is questionable. Open parks and plenty of benches attract adults without kids, so just make sure your kids know never to go with anyone else and always keep an eye on them. But distance from the street definitely helps, especially if you have little ones who are runners. It is pretty easy to find street parking by this playground, which also works in its favor. A word to the wise: Mr. Softee always comes by, so bring small bills.
